Brilliant, brilliant effort Paul. Great cause and beautiful record of an incredible achievement. I know I couldn't have coped with that heat, so massive respect to you. See you soon. Atb.
I'm a bit late to this one, but my congratulations are just as heartfelt. Well done Paul. I didn't doubt that you could and would complete this gruelling hike. I'm only glad that bit of setting up/walking back/walking into the camera didn't end up being the straw that broke the camel's back 😫And you somehow found the energy to record the complete event magnificently. What a star. Well done my friend!!!!
Thank you Sue. I wondered if you had seen it yet 😁 I am sad now it is over. I wish I still had it to look forward to. I dread to think how I will feel early next year when I finish the SWCP!
@@pilgrimpaul7798 you could always do a Graham Eaves and do it all over again ..and again ..and....! But I am also looking forward to a continuation of your fascinating Dartmoor features. Plenty to keep you busy and the rest of us entertained with your excellent videos 🤗
Thank you Brian. It was a strange feeling floating through those last few miles. Apart from the one climb just before Corfe it would normally be an easy walk but I was so tired from the heat it really was a challenge. I look back on it fondly though.
Well done Paul great effort,,that’s a tough walk,,I did that back in April,,for my training for the start off the south west coastal path,,Stewart wilts 🏃♂️👍👍
Hi Paul, just watched this again , a refresher to the memory of how tough (and spectacular) this hike was ! I’ll be doing another MacMillan hike in just over 2 weeks on the South coast, hoping for it not to be so roasting ! Great watching your SWC path walks , all the best to you .
It’s the South coast one, starts in Brighton and goes along the South Downs way and over the Seven Sisters and finishes in Eastbourne. Still hilly but hopefully not as tough as last years ! 😅
Hi Paul - Even though I'm late watching this from last year, I can really appreciate the effort you had to put in on those long miles on such a hot day 🥵 - congratulations and SO well done 👏👏 I'm quite familiar with this section of the SWCP, but was wondering why the route didn't continue over the Lulworth Ranges to Tynham and Kimmeridge etc, (being the weekend the MOD area is usually open) instead of taking it on tarmac? Well done again and great finish at Corfe Castle!
Thank you. It was a very hot day which certainly added to the challenge. I was grateful I had an early start so was able to get some walking done before the sun got too hot. I’m not sure why the route heads inland after Lulworth Cove. Perhaps it is considered to be too hard a route to continue that distance along the coast through the ranges. I know that section is quite hilly. The route for the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike has changed this year. I believe it starts and finishes somewhere different this year.
I think a couple thousand people took part but we had staggered start times. I was in the first wave and walked at a quick pace at the start so was along most of the day.
Well done Paul. That looked knackering just watching it! 😊 The coastal section you did on this walk... are you going to walk that again as part of your regular SWCP videos?
Congratulations Paul! Well done indeed. 🎉 I never doubted that you would pass the finish line. You seemed to be so devoted for this great cause. 😊🏆
Thank you Torunn. So pleased to finally get to do the walk.
Great upload my friend, love the opening shots and b-roll shots! Brilliant work 👏👏
Thank you 👍
Phenomenal achievement Paul, especially in such heat. 🏅👏👏
Thank you Beverly 😊
Congratulations on completing your hike. Great effort for a great cause 🏁👍
Thank you 👍
Excellent effort 👍👍👍👍
Thank you 👍

Thank you. I was lucky starting so early as I was able to get the cliffs done before lunch. It was a great experience that I would certainly do again.
Great achievement. Conditions really tough. Should be well proud!!
It was tough walking conditions but the sun showed the scenery at its best.
Superb effort there Paul. Well done mate 👏
Ah thanks mate 👍
Hi Paul, a great effort and lovely filming as usual.
Thank you 😊

@@grahampenny6289ah yes I have looked at that one. Maybe next year I’ll sign up for another. Good luck
Well done mate… hard work but well worth it!
Thank you. It was a great day.
Well done Paul! Heat and tarmac together are really tough, especially at the end of a long day. Great effort.
Thanks Roger. That 2nd half was def what I found to be the hardest bit.

Any idea how many folk started that one?, surprised you were alone as much as u were. Well done.
I think a couple thousand people took part but we had staggered start times. I was in the first wave and walked at a quick pace at the start so was along most of the day.
Is Monty not up for this?he looked so disapponted 😊
Haha he would have pulled me down those steep sections. He might have been useful helping me up the other side though!
Very well done👏can I please ask you what camera you use to film thank you
Thank you 😊
I use a GoPro Hero 9.
My god when was the last time the inside of your car was cleaned 😂😂😂
🤣 yeah I did think that. It’s a working vehicle though, used in all weathers in the country.
Well done Paul. That looked knackering just watching it! 😊 The coastal section you did on this walk... are you going to walk that again as part of your regular SWCP videos?
Thank you. Yes I will certainly walk that again. I will be able to take my time and take it all in a little more.
