I have love in a mist seeds I got from my grandmother years ago. I planted some also years ago ..all my neighbors have it too...they didn't plant it it just showed up. Lol. We've been having bird and bunny porno going on in our yard too. HAPPY EASTER.🌷❤
Beautiful garden ! Love the greenhouse ! If you want to get rid of your weeds for a long time and feed your plants at the same time then you need to get yourself some Preen, it’s a weed n feed and comes in a big bucket! Just sprinkle it around and watch it work it’s magic ! I love it and think once you try it and see for yourself then you will to! Work smarter not harder !
Thank you! 💜 I actually have used preen in the past, but, I try not to use any kinds of herbicides. I’m also so goofy I actually enjoy pulling weeds. 🤣
The silicone will pick right of vinyl siding but should hold unless it gets really cold. Not sure where you’re located but looks like warmer than here in Minnesota
It’s made for exterior and waterproof for aquatic use, so I’m hopeful. I’ve used a dab on a command hook on my lamppost and it’s been stuck there for years. Fingers crossed. I’m in NJ zone 7. Thanks for watching! 😃
Your enthusiasm for gardening is contagious. I enjoy following your projects. I, too, have so many ideas for my garden areas and I find great satisfaction when I accomplish one idea or project at a time; trying not to be overwhelmed! Your chicken topiary is going to be so cute. I can see the form developing. Love the idea for your boys to have a secret garden - a great project!
Love what your doing😊the chicken topiary is looking like a chicken 🐓 I see it 😊 My containers are full of bulbs that are blooming and other containers I have my hellebores, pansies and Viola‘s
Thank you Angela! 💜🥰 Yes! This is perfect for all of those. Here’s a link with all plants that would benefit from Holly Tone: www.espoma.com/product/holly-tone/#toggle-id-1
Also I love your clematis I have two groups of them in my new one which is on its second year broke off in the tremendous winds that we're having hopefully it'll grow back quickly
I'm with you on house sparrows (which are non-native). I try to decrease the population too. I don't use millet in my birdseed and I actually trap them. I have bluebirds and if you've ever seen videos of what house sparrows can and will do to our native blue birds, trapping doesn't seem too bad. (I trap them when they are trying to get into my bluebird houses.)
They are terrible non-native. I talked about it in more detail in my last video, I just don’t want to be abrasive to people about it. Even though it’s a real big problem! Thank you for your efforts in protecting our native birds! 💜
Your topiary is great! I saw the reel on Instagram and immediately thought it looked like a chicken before you even said it so kudos - doing a fabulous job!!
They do go fast because he makes each one himself. But, he does a full restock every couple of months. I’ll post it up on my community tab next time he has the shop stocked. 💜
Thank you so much for showing how to make an invisible trellis!!! That’s going to come in handy! The pots look so lovely on the porch!!! I love all the blue! And your chicken topiary is already looking very much like a chicken!!! That’s a super fun gardening adventure to add to the mix! - The secret garden for the boys is such a precious idea! I can’t wait to see what they grow! I would have adored having such a cozy corner to garden in when I was growing up! I know they are going to treasure their bit of earth!!!
Hey Doll!! We used a similar adhesive with our trellising stays and only a few have popped off. The reason ours pop off sometimes is because we are adhearing to cement or stucco and we didn’t use enough of the adhesive. It’s gotta be a blob enough to puddle out around the edges a decent amount. Not too much but for sure not too little. Your yard is insanely inspirational, as it ALWAYS is. Much love and hugs to you 🐥🌱 Your enthusiasm for your surprise asparagus totally had mr giggling at my phone! Goodness, I adore your personality
What are the pink flowers behind the chicken? Really pretty. I love the trellising idea. I may need to do that as well as so thanks for the info and keep us posted.
Laura, I’m totally using your trellis hack; I’ve already ordered the anchors off Amazon, and will put it to the test. Thank you! I too have been working hard in the back yard, cleaning, planting, weeding…you know the drill It’s coming together slowly; trying to remember to enjoy the journey. And to the Sparrow…Bye, Bye Birdie 😂. See you next week 🤗
Great (and hilarious) video Laura! I’m trying to fix up my gardens too, tidying up last season crops, building 2 brand new 6’X25’ cutflower beds and planting out warm season veggies. So busy that I completely forgot about the snapdragons I sowed in 3 large empty salad containers. There are hundreds of them huddled in there and they’re all budding! I feel so bad. Like a failed plant mama. Lol - Zee, N. Cali zone10a
I love verbascum I plantedshade of summer last year got a couple blooms but this year they will flower more profusely. I also use the cat mats in my gardens closest to my deck. I'm excited for you on your plans.
I think it does look like a chicken, I am doing 2 different topiary chickens mine are very early in the process but I am shaping them each differently…thanks for the tour!
I love your garden! I noticed that you mentioned that you have thistle in your garden today. I have been battling this thug for two years now and I’m loosing the battle. I just wanted to let you know that it will take over if you have never had the pleasure of dealing with this particular pest. 🤬Please don’t ignore this for long. Best of luck.
Please give us an update on how well the silicon holds up. I would like to do something similar on my side of my neighbor's vinyl fence and I don't want to damage it.
Love your garden and videos! You mentioned thistle weeds today, and I have been struggling to remove this weed for the past 3 years. Do you have any recommendations?
It’s so hard. Definitely try the weed tool here. It gets the tap roots and helps so much. www.hoselink.com/products/stand-up-weed-puller?gclid=Cj0KCQjwjN-SBhCkARIsACsrBz5e7ldA7DncOzD4NgtbxaqRCXJF_1KhvKmWUp-7x7zLmZAcUUrJXNoaAjUIEALw_wcB
I'm so sorry about your espalier, they were such a beautiful line with 4! But I do love your idea of maybe incorporating an espalier pear or something else along the fence so I'm sure it will be lovely! I just planted 4 varieties of Siberian Iris in my garden yesterday, 12 in all with 3 root divisions each. One variety arrived moldy but I'm hoping they rebound!! Most of my planting time was spent digging through old roots of other plants...our property has mature gardening that was overgrown/dying so a lot of rehab to come here! Seeing how nice your garden is makes me smile.
I have been outside all morning and early afternoon. I bought a massive rectangular planter box and installed a trellis. I pls Ted mandevilla, purple bell vibe (recommended by Erin, impatient gardener), dahlia, creeping Jenny, calibrachoa. Expecting rain so I spread weed and feed on lawn. Lots of other little jobs.
Such a cute chicken topiary. I tried to figure out how to tag you on my facebook to show you my awesome display of tulips but I couldnt figure it out. I always love your videos. the winter weeds have taken over my flower beds so all my time is consumed on dry non rainy days to pulling weeds by hand.
Very impressed by your seedlings....Nice!
I love the chicken topiary I’m very impressed
It’s been a pleasant video but you really got me with the chicken topiary. Thanks for sharing;)
So enjoy your videos. They are "real life."
Thank you! 💜💜 new one coming today
I can totally see the chicken.... I’m inspired.......
I totally see the chicken! Love it!
Love the chicken. When I saw the post on Instagram I immediately thought chicken. Good job!!
I definitely see a chicken in that bush! It looks like one already! Pretty chickie, chickie, chickie!!!
The sparrows can’t get a room, but the have at ‘ er anyway! 🤣🤣🤣love the chicken topiary! Happy Easter!🐣
I put up bird houses to bring in the birds for pest control, and it totally worked.
Absolutely! It’s a win win situation!
I saw the chicken form on your topiary right away, great job, it's looking nice..
It does look like a chicken! Great job! Your gardens are beautiful!
How rude!!! I was dying laughing at your bordello yard for the birds!!! 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 I was not ready for that. 🙈
I have love in a mist seeds I got from my grandmother years ago. I planted some also years ago ..all my neighbors have it too...they didn't plant it it just showed up. Lol. We've been having bird and bunny porno going on in our yard too. HAPPY EASTER.🌷❤

Can you use holly tone on fir, pine and spruce trees? Beautiful garden!
Thank you Angela! 💜🥰 Yes! This is perfect for all of those. Here’s a link with all plants that would benefit from Holly Tone:

It does look like a chicken....I knew it even before you mentioned it....keep it up your good at it!
Great inspo! What were the pink flowers behind your chix topiary (I can see it)? Birds cracked me up!!!!
Thank you! Aren’t they gorgeous! Actually a tulip in a mix called “cakewalk” from colorblends. I definitely need more of them.
Laura I'm so sorry that I didn't look at the previous replies that somebody else asked you that as well
Also I love your clematis I have two groups of them in my new one which is on its second year broke off in the tremendous winds that we're having hopefully it'll grow back quickly

I love the chicken topiary idea..
Thank you! Happy Easter to Jesus our Risen Lord
I TOTALLY see the chicken! I love it. I love playing around with topiary, and am proud of mine even when they're homely!
I am cracking up with the bird situation! "How Rude!" "Get a room!" Loved this, Laura!
I adore that silver sage. It’s like growing a bunny. They do get big, like a foot across fully grown.
It totally looks like a chicken! I saw it before you said it. Way to go for trying your hand at topiary! I don’t have that much artistic skill.
You are delightful! I'm always smiling when I watch your videos. It does look like a chicken! 🐔
I tried those and the silicone melted. It will be interesting to see if the glue works.
I’ll be interested to see too. It says for outdoor use, but, you know how these things go. 🤣🤣
It’s looking beautiful Laura 💕 I look forward every week to see all your lovely changes 🌸🦋🌸
I love the trees trained on the fence. I am sorry you lost some though 😢
Your hands look like mine after my garden therapy! When my hands look like that you know I'm happy! Great idea on the trellis!🐞🌻
Great episode, birds made me laugh. The topiary looks exactly like a chicken, you are good, own it 💕💕🙏
Your topiary is great! I saw the reel on Instagram and immediately thought it looked like a chicken before you even said it so kudos - doing a fabulous job!!
Not just being nice, but I can see a chicken, too!
Happy Easter to you and yours Laura.
Before you even said anything, I thought, "That boxwood is shaped kind of like a chicken." So, you are on the right track!🐔
I saw chicken before you called it one. So, it's well on it's way. Good work!
Everything looks amazing Laura!! You're garden is so magical!!
The Sparrows tried to get a room, but you blocked them with those washers🤣😂🤣. That cracked me up. Garden is lovely as ever.
Lol, but I do see the chicken form!!!
Your video has me singing..."Let me tell you about the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees"... I LOVE SPRING🤗 Thanks for a great video👏
Beautiful gardens, amazing taste - thank you Laura !!🌳
I can see the chicken. Thanks for touring your garden and all the great ideas.
Most of the Wakefield is sold out.

It definitely DOES look like a chicken! Good job!
I think so ,too!
What are the pink flowers behind the chicken? Really pretty. I love the trellising idea. I may need to do that as well as so thanks for the info and keep us posted.
Aren’t they so beautiful! Those are actually tulips! It’s in a mix from colorblends called “cakewalk” I need to order more!
@@HowsItGrowing Oh my! I thought the foliage looked like Tulips but the blooms were so different. Thanks for letting me me know.

Will there be more Wine & Weeds? So much fun.
I believe there will! 😉💜🍷 Thank you!

I’m sad to hear about the espalier but I know you will do something great in that area. Your garden is so pretty!

Thanks so much!! Oh yeah. It’s awful. It’s the reason we laid the weed fabric. 😫
Please give us an update on how well the silicon holds up. I would like to do something similar on my side of my neighbor's vinyl fence and I don't want to damage it.
