Be this guy. Have adventure as while you're young. I always figured I would be able to when I got a little older and then got sick. Do stuff while you can cuz you never know when you won't be able to anymore.
@@dangeroustoman You don't need money to do things. That's one of the big misconceptions. Just walk out your door and see where the day takes you. Adventure does not have to be fancy.
This is what my wife and I are trying to do. You are never guaranteed another day so enjoy them the best you can while you can people! Our goal is currently to get a brightdrop zevo 600 to do a camper conversion in and go cross country from only free chargers and the sun! Hopefully we will be able to buy one in about 3 years. We currently own a chevy bolt and go all kinds of places in the Carolinas to hike. The amount of places to charge for free is truly amazing if you look into it. I can go from Charlotte, NC up into the mountains by Asheville for the day and back... sometimes 400-500 miles in a day for only the initial home charge of $7.
Ditto ! Right after I graduated High School I had a brain tumor, though I walked again I spent a decade in comatose winters ! Now I’m 51 and missed out on those 20s , so DEFINITELY GOTTA SAY LIVE YOUR LIFE !!! Make it good and do what you can, WHEN YOU CAN !!!! 🎉 . . My knees are hurting now from being bedridden all my 20s , but if I didn’t make a life of my 30s I would just have nothing. Fourties were a blur and now I’m past 50 . Just glad I did SOMETHING in the years before .
That thing has so many possibilities for upgrades. Dual disc brakes from a motorbike, larger capacity batteries, uprated motors, setup for regen braking, steel frame, reinforced cabin, proper cooling /heating system, better tyres, big led lights, heck build the generator in so it can automatically come on if needed at a certain percentage of power.
This fuys is the best type of guy to go on crazy trips with. Glass half full attitude and mechanical savvy mind and you can accomplish almost anything. Love it.
Every moment of this video is just plain insanity, the shoddily constructed dual e-moto car, the steering, the immediate break down but embarking into the wilderness anyway after a mcgyver fix, running around on a steep snowy embankment with a hatchet in his hand, the instagram worthy roof top tent, tossing massive a pile of "firewood" on the roof of the vehicle and "securing" it her on there with a extension cord. Absolute mad lad!
This reminds me of my best friends and I, way back when we were in our 20's, going on oddball vacations and day trips. What wonderful memories! Thanks so much for sharing your good times with us old geezers -- and geezerettes, too! You guys ROCK!
I'm glad people can still do these things, at least in some states. Where I live, you'd probably have gotten pulled over by the Gestapo before you ever got out of the city limits. Although it looks a little rag-tag, I like many of the features you incorporated obviously on a low budget. Adventuring is something you will never regret.
Ladies, not that I expect many are here, THIS is the childlike enjoyment we get out of silly things. But it’s squeezed out of us by life and responsibilities. When you see us acting like boys…it’s remembering times like this guy is having. Keep your attitude, man! It will take you far. Smiling face through adversity is hard to find later in life.
You two give me a Lackadaisy characters vibe especially you and your caotic projects and adorable posiviatisim like Rocky Rickaby and Kevin and his coolnes and hurted knee give me a Viktor Vasko vibe XD
I think it might be time for you to replace at least the bottom of the car with actual metal and attach the suspension onto that. basically turn the rest of the car into just a shell that sits in a skateboard like car. if nothing else, it'll definitely help with the rail adventures since you can not only jack on the frame, but know that you aren't dead in the water if you hit another rock or something.
I had a similar problem with lifepo4 batteries... you need a 'charge balancer' which will literally take power from the higher cells and dump it into the lower cells... they are usually dirt cheap but a pain to install... not sure if the make 20s versions but there were some that were 16s when i was shopping for mine. You probably already know about it but justincase ;-). Loved the vid btw. Came for the tiny train content stayed for the high centering :-D
Dude you need to put a solar on the roof with a regulator to the batteries, while you drive batteries will charge and give more milage , if you put a small canopy gas shock on the front steering this will prevent all the strain on the steering, also enlarge the steering wheel for better handling, 😅😊
It's so random A few months ago I found the whole trolley car go cart thing. And I went deep watch the ton of different videos. And loved the idea of it but hated that no one made a really good trolley car they were all backyard scrap piece together stuff. Than you come along with this thing. Awesome
Epic video! Very interested in what killed that single cell? Possibly charging it before it got below 10% or running it when the battery was below 0%? Lithium ions are a pain
Love this channel and your energy! I was subscribed months ago, and realized today I was no longer. I’ve only hit unsubscribe on one channel in my life, and it wasn’t this one. Very weird!
Looked like a fun little jaunt. nothing like stress testing your bizarre contraptions, where failure is always an option. My last notable trip was in an sailing catamaran Id converted to electric. took it for a fishing trip, took it one way down the coast, did great, about 4 kt, even caught some fish. at around 70% battery I turned around to head back, but the wind had come up, with the waves and headwind, it pretty much couldn't move forward. dragged it 500m up the beach to a spot I knew with some minor fence manipulation you could get beach access. then the long walk home. wasnt so bad, caught another fish on the way. a late fish lunch, n went to retrieve it. I have twice as many motors and each one is 3x the power for this summer. Im not sure how your BMS would like this, but could you simply remove the dodgy cell and run it as say, a 23s bank rather than a 24s? thats what I'd be trying...
25:25, "these are not the most expensive motors, and they do not have re-gen" I'm pretty sure that is a feature of the motor driver, maybe look into better drivers and see if you can upgrade it
Looks sick what battery are you using maybe put some ASI controllers or nuclear it will be a beast but sketchy because i think the front wheel won’t handle the speed

I don't want to watch you being an idiot. please be smarter

I feel you brother. I am turning 40 and I wish I had done more when I was younger.

I’d ditch the rooftop tent for a small backpacking set up. The power that is being wasted on drag is probably tremendous.
I don't think he's moving fast enough for drag to be an issue lol.
Would love to see another abandoned railroad vid, the first one was awesome
More to come! New one up Monday!
@@MattSpears The new vid is even cooler :D
YES PLZZZZZZzzzzzzz

Absolutely gorgeous scenery! Always love seeing Kev in the movies! Can't believe you're not at a million subs yet, bro! You so deserve it!

Just discovered your abandoned railway video and now this one. I love your positive vibe. Keep up the good work.
This lad is literally MacGyver!
Pure love from Sydney Australia! ❤
He is something that is closest to great entertainment with skills that every man should have.
That whole trip is so ill planned and make shift. That car is gonna hate you. Fantastic!
The UA-cam gods randomly recommended this channel and I’m grateful they did! 😉🙏 Keep adventuring! 🔥
Everyone needs a Kevin in their lives 😊
Hell yeah brother!!!! Glad to see the electric trike was still alive😂😂
Keep it up man we missed you and your creative different non generic content!
Build a luggage rack for the back of the Spira, put solar panels on the tent roof. It should extend your range
Keep doing what you're doing Matt! We'll join you for the journey.
🤯 MIND BLOWN! You are one Amazingly inspiring person. Thank You for sharing and having me on the edge of my seat!😉👍✌️
AG1 tasted great! Way better than I expected 👍
His young adventureous spirit is rare these days ! Pay attention to this guy he has a great future!!

Just discovered your channel. I'm a 55yr old motorcycle rider of 40yrs. Love all your adventure stuff going on. Super impressive riding off-road 👍
Commenting for the youtube algorithm, because you deserve it.
That view, but also that tune😂 This is one of my favourite channels❤

But you won't get any, like ever...
This is just plain crazy but I'm loving every minute! Keep doing it for as long as you can.
Wow, so beautiful out there. Nice adventure.
That diy pop-up-tent is also great.

I think it's time to give it a lift and modify to long travel and add a back up battery! Great Job you two! Really enjoyed watching your adventure!

I'm impressed you made it as far as you did considering your ratchet-strap suspension (upgrade). Lots of fun and you survived the downhill!
Found your channel today, enjoying the mad cap adventures. 👍
Dude the walls of them canyons are amazing! Omg
This adventure is making me laugh. I love it.😂
if the motors are direct drive they have regen. Regen depends on controllers
I love that beautiful sunset from the mountain.❤

Love it man. I thought I was the only wacko around.

I would like to see this mini electric car at a car show!
I really had a good time following your last two videos thank you for sharing and safe travels

That little car looks like one of those Red Bull go carts that run down a hill and crash into hay bales.
😅😂 thats our comforter mayun‼️‼️ yall having fun

"Looks like something from Top Gear," I'd take that as a huge compliment !

The puppy is really loaded up
If power was a problem, why would you ever turn the generator off?
Yay! Electric car! Needs power from an gasoline (oil) fed electric generating system.
Love this channel and your energy! I was subscribed months ago, and realized today I was no longer. I’ve only hit unsubscribe on one channel in my life, and it wasn’t this one.

Why did you try and go up that mound at the beginning? That was just crazy anyone could tell you only a motorbike could do it.
You've got guts young man 👏

So entertaining thanks for sharing!
With lithium ion batteries ur supposed to never let them below 15 percent once u hit the low of 20 percent u should charge
I'ma buy one ..AG1 Here I come
Found your channel last night.
There great videos mate keep up the good work🙂👍🇬🇧
All permanent magnet motors can do regen when using the right motor controllor. Your controllers are probably just not capable of regen.
Fav channel now
I like the adjustable "hammer".
Very nice love to do that ❤
Você deveria colocar uma lona para cobrir as coisas sem cima do veiculo!!
Keep up the spirit ❤️
😂😂😂 I love the adventure and enginity
You need to link up with c90 adventures sir. Very similar!
How is it that no cops saw this on the road!
Love this,grate job
That was fun to watch. Thanks.
I was expecting to see some of my favorite places in Montana. 30 seconds in: That's Moab! He's heading up into the La Sal mountians!
LEGEND!! 👊
All right man you’re awesome. I wish I could come with you and help you.
❤😂❤😂 you guys are awesome
Looks sick what battery are you using maybe put some ASI controllers or nuclear it will be a beast but sketchy because i think the front wheel won’t handle the speed
cause sinus controllers know how to use the battery and will get you more range
Using some cheap Chinese controller, will look into ASI.
Holy moly puppy
