  • It's time for a new greenhouse. I have chosen a Hall's Magnum Black 8' x 14'. Here's how I installed it.

    Great video. Thanks!
How did you fix the base to the ground?
Do you really need holes filled with cement ?
If I had paving flags, could you drill holes into base and fix with screws to pavers?
One last question. They are still saying 25 weeks lead time. Was yours ordered during covid?

It’s fixed to the walls using straps and bolts. You’ll see this later in the series. Paving flags would work but they are hard to drill into. The supplied base works well with concrete and the metal legs splayed out.
I ordered in August and was quoted 35 weeks but it arrived much sooner.

Thanks Connor. Your video is great. I winged it and did the same as you. Mine is coming next week. So just 4 weeks from placing order. I do not understand why they customers away by advertising massive lead times.
I will put the base on the paving stones and anchor the base down into the ground.
One problem that i got is that my pavers are not levelled. There is like few mm slope one tge whole area. I ordered tge 13 m square Halls garden room.
How level the floor has to be? How level is level basically? I am guessing it has to be level not to put inclination on walls/glass?
One last question (sorry for being a pain!). I hoping to put a sofa inside in addition to growing stuff. So i thought this can be water tight and therefore I was going to close any gaps betweem the base and pavers by silicone. Is this a bad idea? And did you use any special kind of silicone? Or just clear silicone would do?
You can tell that this is not my thing:)
      Many thanks for your help!

@@wwallace81 Level is critical. That's why I sent so much tome with the long T Square getting mine just right. If they're not square, the panes might not fit properly. Mine is a silicone free install!

Hey Connor. I got mine delivered today. It doesn't come with the metal clips you used for the glazing. Where did you get those from? Can you post a link please. Are they absolutely necessary?
