I really wish and hope we're going to get an option to choose between the old graphics and new ones. The cartoonish style made me think about the Clone Wars series.. 😞🙏
@@Nimicry Oh man 99, it brings back so many memories !! I loved those episodes, It was awesome and so sad, i really cried watching it. He is truly the Best ! 🕊️♥️
I don't think I'd ever call the game's graphic mind-blowing, but I do think the semi-cartonish stylings makes it more resistant to the passage of time than others. Small but meaningful changes. Places like Ilum, that's where the changes really stand out. It mostly seems to be the lighting and some small texture updates.
@TNEQL I think it holds up quite well, but the author of the article seems to think highly. We can at least state that the original was not done with AI
The game's visuals are stylized and this was done precisely for the reason you mentioned. Among other reasons, actually. You can watch developer video blogs from back in the day where they mention this.
I think the Update should be for all areas otherwise it will look weird. Like one time good lightning the other not makes your toon looking different. More important in modernisation is to make maps more compact. No driving in empty corridors for 10 minutes or more.
Dis game have real deep place in my heart so seen it give more life and make look better make so happy, only thing not sure how to feel for the chartacter it look bit off, i do also repect that they going to take time with the story as they now how importent it is for dis community
The problem with planets like Illum and Hoth, is that the colour scheme is too blue on blue on blue. Everything blends too much together. The upgrade didn't really help with that very much. Also, I don't really care for the way they've lightened up Illum, it struck me as being a planet like Pluto, where it was supposed to be far away from its sun, so there shouldn't be much light. I acknowledge that my assertion of Illum being far away from its sun, and how much light Pluto receives may be inaccurate. I still liked Illum being darker though.
@liamwilson7549 i was reading the article from the author. I personally liked what I saw but you are not wrong. It is not a drastically different visual
Yep, just got the part you mentioned. About the statues looking oppressed. I thought that was impressive but still it seems I was unintentionally funny
@Avalon19511 so i was reading the article friend. Hence why there was text on the screen. While I do agree the graphics look nice, they are not ground breaking
@@Nimicry I will never for the life of me understand why they never really upgraded the graphics, they may have great stories and all but it's just not up to the quality it should be, look at warframe, it's just about as good as it's trailers
@@Nimicry You think that is something watch the warframe cinematic trailer, now that is some impressive work I'd say on par with SWATOR's cinematic trailers

Iv outgrown the Jimmy Newtron graphics years ago. Been waiting for modernized graphics to get back into the game.
@@CainCorvinus It's cool too and understandable 😃 I just wish we can have the choice in the settings. 😁🤞
This game will always have a special place in my heart
@starwarsbunker it is a pla e of vast experiences and positive memories.
Also Justice Donuts. My favorite meme character

@Churro_Flaminguez Yup. It always works out better in the long run.
I disagree i think it especially stands out during the Korriban one. You might want to get those eyes checked. 😢

@@gamevids7814 you make a good point. I believe Broadsword is working on more areas than just the few listed.

Well Said Panter! I think some of the character models were meh but I am interested in seeing more

This is an excellent point. And hopefully you can make Ilum darker
I'm gonna be brutally honest. The changes are so conservative that there may as well be no changes.

@@Nimicry i approve of any changes, the game is very old now and on a very aged system. I want to see a next gen swtor one day
I would have liked to see them definitely do a lot more. Most of these changes seem unnoticeable unless looking side by side.

I don't think I mentioned anything about being stepped on, but I will have to rewatch it

when do the changes take place?
@@dragonray9450 some time in December with more changes happening in early 2025
Is this coming to console
Sadly, I do not think so
What we really need is solo versions of every kind of content because this game is dying a slow death.
@bX-rk2oo That is a good idea. I like the raids but I cannot always find a group to play with in my limited free time
Wow your easily impressed, the graphics are now up to 1999 standards lol, when these look half as good as Warframe then i'll be excited

I am going to have to check that out. I may have to do a reaction video as Gauss was enjoyed. Thanks Avalon!
