Rabbi Tovia, THANK YOU! We left the church 5 yrs ago. Embarked on Messianic Judaism when we found that something in Christianity was missing. Then found out my husband is ethnically Jewish. A year ago you popped up on my feed and I was repulsed by what you were saying about yeshua. About 1 month ago ran into Jewish man at Walmart, actually he approached me, he heard me talking to my daughter and I said Tenach. He came up to me and asked if we were Jewish and of course told him we were Messianics. He in turn told me that I should listen to you. I told him that I had in the past, we made small talk and departed. This weekend I heard about Tenach Talk so I tuned in......to see YOU AGAIN! LOL. This time I was able to listen. My husband and I did a lot of research, praying and seeking G-d. On Monday we turned and walked, actually ran, from the NT and yeshua. We contacted a local Rabbi and meet with him next week. I am so overwhelmed with G-d's PATIENCE and GRACIOUSNESS! He has been sooo patient with us. Thank you! We do feel like we are clinging to the hem of the Jews for yall (yes we're southern) to teach us! Bless you, Bless your mission, Bless your family and Bless Tenach Talk! G-d used YOU to save a family of 8 ( we have 6 little ones!). THANK YOU!

Had to watch this again. The world is in trouble. We need Hashem and need to let go of the lies we were taught as Christians. I left Christianity 3 years ago and never looked back. Tovia has been such a blessing to me.
God is Logic and even Christian scripture says this (John 1 in the original Greek) but they hide it and idol worship like fools.
Go to the source of knowledge and reason with it. If you study Logic and logical reasoning it will help you understand how to interpret the Torah objectively and correctly and it will help you understand what it means to “reckon faithfully with the one true God” and will show you how to do it in the only way that doesn’t violate Deuteronomy chapter 18.
Logical reasoning is not divination, it’s real communication with the truly divine that is rational and will not lead you astray like the purely mystical and the mythical.
If it’s not knowledge from Logic it’s not knowledge and it’s not from God.

It is obvious that any study of the Torah in another language should only be from correct translations by observant Jewish Torah scholars.
Which is why I traded out my JPS Tanakh for an Artscroll one, JPS is basically just a reform Tanakh based off a christian translation, there’s a reason why christian missionary groups that specifically target Jews use the JPS version of the Tanakh and not a respected one

In Spanish there is a word for "you all": -ustedes-, which is why **some** Spanish christian bibles translate it correctly. W/O the Hebrew there's no way to understand the Bible.

@@uriel7203: FYI, there is a Translator on YT. Just right-click in the vicinity of the words and click on "Translate to English". Of course it also translates the country of origin initials that are to the right of the UA-cam logo at the top left, so after the translation takes place, you may see UA-cam and some other word to the right of it. For me it changes to "THAT", because I'm in Canada, and the country initials are 'CA', which the Translator sees as the French word for 'that'.
In Ireland, we say youse for the plural. In the Irish language, there is a plural and we adapted when our language was exterminated. In previous incarnations of the English language, the word used was ye, as in Come all ye faithful.

When Jesus cursed the fig tree, this was his way of saying that the inheritance of the remnant of Israel would be uprooted and given to others. As well as Jewish tradition, like Hillel the Elder, "What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow: this is the whole Torah." And the concept of the Gehenna. The idea that Gentile converts are under the Law of Noah is also a Jewish tradition.
Notice that the LORD condemned Ephraim and Judah for not following his moral teachings. For doing great evil. From Yayikra/Leviticus 19:16 to 19:18, it states "your people," "your brother," "members of your people," and "your fellow," which refer exclusively to Jew-to-Jew relationships. None of these phrases actually translate to "neighbor" as you would understand the word. Torah-observant Jewish people live in Jewish communities, so we are each other's neighbors, and you would never be our neighbor anyway.

This is because knowledge of the reports of men of the past and of contemporaneous views of men of the present do not reach the one who has not witnessed them nor lived in their times except through the accounts of reporters and the transmission of transmitters, to the exclusion of rational deduction and mental inference. *Hence, if I mention in this book a report about some men of the past, which the reader of listener finds objectionable or worthy of censure because he can see no aspect of truth nor any factual substance therein, let him know that this is not to be attributed to us but to those who transmitted it to us and we have merely passed this on as it has been passed on to us.*
Thus, al-Tabari faithfully displayed these accounts in the exact manner through which he received them. Can he then be held liable if any objectionable accounts should arise? To translate this into laymen's terms, al-Tabari has simply refused accountability by avoiding the task of historical criticism. Therefore, any spurious accounts are not to be attributed to him.
This would not be difficult to understand, given the fact that the so-called 'Satanic verses' were transmitted from al-Waqidi to Ibn Sa'd. Ibn Sa'd (d. 230/845), who was the secretary of al-Waqidi (d. 207/823), also assumed the role of a mere transmitter by citing the text and its isnad. Concerning the two historians, al-Waqidi and Ibn Sa'd, the contemporary scholar, Tarif Khalidi, says:
For it is clear that Waqidi is in fact the senior partner. Ibn Sa'd, known of course as 'katib al-Waqidi', was a secretary-editor of his master and of the materials he had assembled and then amplified.
In other words, neither al-Waqidi nor Ibn Sa'd were eye-witnesses to the revelation of 'Satanic verses'; they were simply the transmitters.
It is also worthwhile to mention that:

Claiming that the issue of so-called 'Satanic verses' incident is true just because al-Tabari or Ibn Sa'd mentioned them amounts to a deliberate distortion of the facts.
Now we will address the issue of why Muslims today simply dismiss the account mentioned by these two writers. To begin with, Muslims exegetes in the past have dismissed these accounts, too. This is not something new. Michael Fischer and Mehdi Abedi, writing on the issue of Salman Rushdie's novel The Satanic Verses as well as the Islamic account of the so-called 'Satanic' verses, say (and notice their curious argument):
*The story that Muhammad could have used the Satanic suggestion is rejected by almost all exegetes,* but the fact that the story persists as a subject of exegetes' discussions is testimony to the reality of the temptation both for Muhammad and for later Muslims in their own struggles with such "Babylons" as London, New York, Paris, or Hamburg.
Since the story is rejected by almost all the exegetes, are the Muslims not justified in dismissing the account related to the so-called 'Satanic verses'?
One is also tempted to add the research done by Orientalists like John Burton, who instead of parroting Muir and Watt, concluded with an original argument:
*There existed therefore a compelling theoretical motive for the invention of these infamous hadiths. If it be felt that this has now been demonstrated, there should be no further difficulty in suggesting that those hadiths have no historical basis.*

His main point that the only way you can understand the Hebrew Scriptures is to know Hebrew is highly doubtful. There are many translations written by committees of experts in Hebrew. Most Christians do not read the KJV -- which is a bad translation in a foreign dialect and easily misquoted. It's obvious the verse is not talking about the Messiah: "In those days ten foreigners will come to one Jew and say, ‘We want to share in your destiny, because we have heard that God is with you.’”
The Scriptures say that the two branches of Judah and Ephraim will be united when the Messiah comes with the Kingdom of God. (Ezekiel 37) Zechariah also says, "They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son." (Zechariah 12:10) This can be interpreted to mean the Jews were prophesied to reject their King when he suddenly appeared in the Temple among them. For instance, more than the cultural nuances, the translator had to know why a certain word was written with a certain "vowel" in one place and not in another place, how many layers do you have to dig down to in order to unearth the true meaning of a word or phrase. The written Torah is actually a codebook, given to the Jews by the Almighty Creator, so no one else can hold claim to knowing the codes he also gave us. The problem is when the Christian reads the New Testament with the lens of a 1 century roman convert, and not with the lens of the Torah. When the NT is read with the Torah as a filter, then there is nothing anti-jewish or anti-torah in the NT. And Jesus also is no longer claimed to be part of a Trinity Godhead. But the damage is done. Everything He wants us to know, is contained in the ETERNAL (i.e. STILL in effect and binding TODAY - a LIVING document!) Hebrew scriptures given to us at Mt. Sinai. We can't just SUPPOSE God did something, just because that's what we WANT to believe - that's putting words in God's mouth that He never said to us!
Nowhere in the ETERNAL Hebrew scriptures did God ever mention anyone named "Jesus" who would die for our sins! In fact He specifically told us that each man must die for his OWN sins! Also nowhere did God ever tell us that He requires HUMAN blood (a purely PAGAN ritual!) as the atonement for our sins. I have realized that the issue here is the interpretation of scriptures. we all accept Zechariah as a prophet but we receive content differently especially when messiah is concerned
