      Thank you so much for your lesson. I did make a book from one of your tutorials which was fun using my beads. I'm still at the fun filling part. I also made some paper to use. You explain so we'll and I love your accent.

      Help me .....I am going to make a journal .....I don't understand why u add the papers that come outta a book or even the music sheets or pictures. Do I write on them or is it for looks ???

      @pistolannie6500 Рік тому

      looks... part of the "treasure" to find within. such as making pockets thru out and filling them things like... vintage cards, recipe cards, trivia cards, a nice poem folded up and placed inside an envelope...U could also cut off Strips of the musical notes and glue it on to a blank page for decoration.. Or use as background FOR a Blank piece of paper. maybe tear and ink the edges of the blank paper u want to write on. 😊

    My my goodness- I watched every single second of this entire process. You are my biggest inspiration of how I want to approach junk journaling ... but ... I’ve purchase SO many printables and wishing I had started out with more of an organic style. That said, it’s never too late. I will implement more and more this style and will eventually stop buying printables. Thank you, Natasa... you’re one of the great ones, in my opinion xo

    Excellent tutorial start to finish!! You have answered questions I didn't know I had - LOL!! Now I know why I've been saving all those bits and pieces for the past ten years - and now I know exactly what to do with them. LOVE your junk journal and your creative process. YES - - I would enjoy MORE journal tutorials, walk throughs, techniques, etc... Thank you so much for taking the time to share your creative expertise. Looking forward to getting started on my very first junk journal!! :-)

    I like it that you fast forward on places that are repitition. Some people don't do that and it gets boring to watch steps repeated that don't need to be. You can cover so much more instructions. You are very thorough too. Thank you so much!

    Loving this video for not only the instruction and techniques but also because you do not go off on nonsensical tangents. I also appreciate your fast forwarding through the repetitive demonstrations. Even though I am new to Junk Journals, I look for meaningful content rather than silliness and disorganization. You nailed my preference!! Thank you.

    "I WANT TO BE WILD AND FREE LIKE THE SEA 🌊 🎶 ✨️"
    Darling Natasha, perhaps you don't realize that your wild and free waves have lapped upon the shores of Michigan! Do you know you've changed my life? Your sweet, lyrical, easy-going commentary so freely providing artistic details has inspired my creativity and lifted me out of a SEVEN YEAR DEPRESSION? I lost my Mama and myself, and now through your tutorials, I am creating memory books, recipe books, family tradition books, and JOY! I AM CREATING JOY AGAIN THANKS TO YOU, DARLING NATASHA❣️
    I apologize for all caps, but I'm not sure how long ago this gem was made (thank you for specifically showing me HOW to use the journal to PLAY) and I feel it's important you realize your "I dunno. Doesn't matter. It's not perfect but that's ok. I'm not sure if I like it but that's what we're going with." and all your little sing-sing phrases of love and acceptance of things the way they are, the way they've fallen into place, and if we don't like it now, we might later, and if we still don't like it later, we can beautifully change it to our liking. 😊It may seem trite, but you have helped my little retired suburban housewife life in an unimaginable way. All of my curated things can be beautifully enshrined in a book made of junk mail for pennies.
    Thank you thank you thank you 🎉🎉🎉
    😢 I'm not kidding, 7 years😢

    WOW!!! You are an excellent instructor! So easy to understand. Not too slow,...not too fast. You have a great personality!!! And I especially love YOUR idea of a TRUE JUNK journal, using nothing you bought. What a great way to recycle and help to STOP creating TRASH!! I'm devoted to repurposing!!!
    Your video was my introduction to junk journals. I had NO IDEA what a junk journal even was!
    I feel lucky I found you from the start.
    I have a huge trash can full of junk mail & paper my son was suppose to discard. But he moved and I've been trying to figure out how to get rid of it. But, NOW I'm excited to go thru it and see what great JUNK I can use.
    Thank you for sharing, and teaching such a cool idea.
    Much love to you!!

    I hurt my dominant wrist so not much I can do for 2 weeks in my studio - so I decided to binge watch your videos. typing with left hand so excujse typos. Even though I'm not a beginner I still like to watch beginner videos because we can learn so much. I relly liked this video especially where you showed the used sticker backing with a pocket attached. THAT WAS verY creative. Even though I love to hand embroider I don't like sewing signatures very much - si I tried stapling mine. it worked ok...but I admit sewing is prettier. Subscribed nages ago, love your channel, your voice, thorough instructions, and tips - great job!

    Dear Natasa, No detail ever escapes you. This is soooo inspiring...especially the cover. Just a couple fyi's: your stitching around the sides of the cover is called whip stitch (don't ask me how I know that because I don't sew)and what you called "wall tape"...close. It is drywall tape to cover seams. Some call it Sheetrock or wallboard instead of drywall. Now how is that for totally useless trivia? Giving thanks this Thanksgiving in America for your kind spirit.

    • @TreasureBooks
      @TreasureBooks  5 років тому

      hehe Susan, thank you so much. I was calling it embroidery the whole time, and each time I would say it, I winced because I knew it was wrong, but just didn't know what else to call it. The wall tape - hehe, I knew it had the word "wall" in there somewhere. Thank you for giving me correct names, and its definitely not useless!!

    I’m loving the idea of junk journaling with you sessions. I am binge watching your videos again and now that I’ve finally understood h what papers to put in, I can’t wait to start. I want to make some pages using my gel plate and leaves from garden to go with the “found”, junk art theme.. thank you Natasha for the professional and thoroughly well thought out tutorials - you’re wonderful generosity is much appreciated. ❤️

    Hi!
    This is so pretty! I did something similar, but I didn’t use gesso. I didn’t know about it, I’m a newbie to all of this paper crafting. I’m loving it and I’ve learned so much from your tutorials! Thank you for that. With my project I used a brown paper bag and I used paper mache’ glue with a beautiful napkin which I separated. It did wrinkle, but I like the effect very much! I’m having problems binding my journals, but as time goes on, and I watch these tutorials, I’m learning so much! Have a great day!

    I made albums out of cereal boxes. i I made the one cover out of papers of the wrappers of Christmas oranges. I painted it after with gold paint and it is just now breaking after over 30 years. Everyone loves it.

    Omg I'm never going to sleep again with all these ideas! I made your faux handmade paper yesterday and it was amazing! So pretty and my mind was filling with all sorts of things I could add. Now this! It's absolutely beautiful and glad to see you don't have to look at the actual cereal box for it to be called a Junk Journal, as I like to turn junk into pretty treasure, but would love to challenge myself to use simply junk and make it look as pretty as possible. Guess what I'll be starting today? ;) Thank you so much for your amazing inspiring videos they have really given me back my creative mojo x

    So fun, Natasha! You have inspired me to try to make this to look like birch bark for a Native American Journal. Love the way you connect your tassel. Avoids expensive findings and still very cool. Also love your sunflower/doily spread. So cute! 💖

    Hi, I've subscribed and when I have somewhere to do crafts and art stuff I'm going to be having a go, started collecting stuff already. Love how you don't waffle with instructions and the written bullet points are great. A journalling with me (you) sounds cool too

    Loved the your process on how to make a journal cover. Right now I’m using a gutted old book cover, this wii be my first journal with 2 or 3 signatures inside! I decided to step out my comfort zone & do a signature journal 🤭. I just love all your thick journals,, thats what inspired me to go outside my comfort level. I pray it turns out well I’m always doing one signature. TFS for sharing this video 🤗😊💕.

Really looking forward to having a go at this! And, YES to the journal-with-me YTs! Thanks for all the hard work you put in to make tutorials. Hugs. Also - I bought a Journal from you last year, and it was just the other day I had it out again and was going through it slowly page by page enjoying the look and feel of it!!
