Well there was someone there who was allowed, so the bat cave still showed everything, if there’s an intruder you got to get to your weapons don’t you?
Having watched Frank Gorshin's performance as the Riddler in the 60s, Carrey actually nailed it. People forget the riddler was practically as giddy and energetic as Romero's Joker at times.
The laundry scene is so ridiculous watching it now, but at the time as a kid I thought it was so cool. Added to Robin's young cool factor. I also love MMPR so this movie was gold to me growing up.
Batman is supposed to be the worlds greatest detective but couldnt figure out Ed was Riddler by magically having the funds to start his idea as well as the over abundance of green being used in his campaign
He also believed that Nygmas boss commited suicide. Nothing suspicious about the fact that he was tied to a chair when he allegedly jumped to his death.
"And in Gotham last night, another robbery perpetrated by the city's green-suited menace, resulting in millions of diamonds stolen, with no sign of Batman." "Yeah, I keep forgetting to do something about that." "In unrelated news, a recently fired employee of Wayne Enterprises just started his own mega corporation funded entirely off of diamonds." "Hey, good for him!"
You do realize this movie is largely about Bruce becoming disillusioned about Batman and whether or not he actually wants or needs to keep doing this? He's been attending a therapist and is finally receiving help for his trauma. He's very unfocused. That's the point in my opinion. The reason why he can't figure out seemingly a not so hard to solve mystery is because he's just not into it this time.
Another thing worth pointing out is that Bruce Wayne only met Nygma once before this. Nygma clearly had a higher feeling towards Wayne then Wayne did. He literally only met him during a routine managerial inspection, one that he even had to cut it short just to respond to the bat signal. Now it wouldn't take long for him to make note of Nygma and his progress and probably soon remind himself who this guy is. So that less than memorable (on Wayne's side) encounter, combined with my aforementioned character arc Bruce is going through probably slowed him down. I'm not pretending this is the best written plot in the world and yes I do agree a lot of these kind of look bad once you start picking at them but I am trying to make a case for Reasonable Doubt. Okay this is a little theory that can explain why both Riddler and Two-Face acted “crazy” and “Joker-like” throughout the film: Jim Carrey portrayed Edward Nygma as quirky and awkward at the beginning of the movie, when Edward was normal, and that fit the character. It wasn’t until Edward used the Box for the first time that he turned into a crazy lunatic, and acted that way for the rest of the film as he started to become more addicted to the Box. His “craziness” was caused by the Box and all the different information that entered his mind when he used it. Edward claimed that this information strengthened his brain and raised his IQ, but I believe it was at the same time doing the opposite, and damaging different parts of his brain, creating that “crazy” personality. As Bruce said at the beginning of the film, Edward’s Box raised “too many questions.” As for Two-Face, it seems that Harvey has been Two-Face for a few years in this movie universe. It’s possible that in this universe, over those few years, Harvey’s “evil” side has been starting to become more dominant over his “normal side.” When it comes to split personalities, it’s very possible that things like that can occur. This explains why Harvey acts more crazy than serious in the film. I also noticed that most of Harvey’s few serious moments occur BEFORE he met the Riddler. So, once Harvey met Riddler and started to use the Box, the same thing that happened to Riddler happened to him. The Box damaged Two-Face’s brain, and AMPLIFIED his evil and crazy side, creating that out of character and crazy personality that he has for the rest of the film. Now I can agree that both Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones performances were very out of character and just bad, but if you look at them according to my theory, it definitely makes their characters make more sense and it also creates a more enjoyable film.
In the unreleased Batman Unchained, Nygma would have died from a brain tumor after absorbing so many brainwaves and Batman would feel guilty about his death.

lol...what a fucking bad movie .....and ...u are right he grabs a big diamond but looks at a small one then 2FACE is holding the same one Riddler just had ...smh
Yea that was an awful cut. That could have just been an entire scene. Two-Face: No! No! No! There, is a good one! end scene. So really that whole scene was messed up, Riddler should have had the small diamond to begin with, and even with that cut, the scene would have still worked. Probably what happened was, Riddler was supposed to grab the large one, and then some overpaid robot said, Oh I have an idea!! And an on-the-spot scene change was made, and they never bothered to reshoot the glass case scene because that would have meant having to get more breakable glass made, and well this movie was on a tight budget, if you couldn't already tell. I'm surprised Two-Face didn't tell the Riddler "No, you gotta flip for it."
0:09-0:11 So the Riddler's power is shrinking diamonds mid-edit.
1:33-1:40 Wouldn't they just be calling him The Rip-Off Artist? The Riddler-type character exists in the movie with all the toys Nygma had. So why don't people recognize it?
2:39-2:45 I could hear The Last Angry Geek exclaiming "It's a cone!"
I like how Two-Face’s henchmen have two-faced masks on, to resemble their boss. This movie is corny as hell, it’s awesome.
Like in Arkham games where each gang had their own suits. Noone finds it corny cause it's comics movie.
