    Heyy, I’m using octane engine for the first time. How to enable the graphics card to render it out ? I have RTX 3090. Most the octane is occupying cpu engine almost 80% and GPU 10%. Can you please help me out.

    • @VarunKumar
      @VarunKumar  2 роки тому

      First of all make sure, you've signed up on Octane website and downloaded Blender Octane version & Octane server. Then first login to Octane server with your credentials, and then open Blender Octane. On the right side in properties, make sure your render engine is set to Octane and Device to GPU. That should do it

    • @VarunKumar
      @VarunKumar  2 роки тому

      I think Octane X is for Macs and an app is also available on the store:apps.apple.com/us/app/octane-x/id1548355081?mt=12
      I am not sure as I don't have a Macbook right now to test but I will be getting an M1 mac soon, I can then test it out for you.
      The dispersion effect won't come without Octane.

    I've truly been looking for a video like this for 2 years. Thank you so much. I'm wondering though, do you have any solution for smoothing out or completely removing the reflection of that square area light? It looks a little harsh on the glass, ya kno?

    • @VarunKumar
      @VarunKumar  Рік тому +1

      That can happen if you put roughness as 0. Try to keep it a small number so it's not extremely shiny or you can use another type of light as well.
