Goku only beat Time Skip by NEGATING it by POWERING UP. Who ever has the larger power would just win against any hax in DB apparently. But It cant work against Jotaro cause Jotaro doesnt use Ki to skip or stop concept of time unlike Hit who just use ki to go into another Dimension where time is slower or something like that idk, hit power is complicated yet irrelevant in DB
Wait, aren't the beams from Goku multiple times stronger than Goku himself? That means that if Goku launches a singular beam, it could potentially be fatal. Plus, as shown from the Tien fight, Goku understands if the beam would hit or not showing that he understands good timing to hit those beams. He could also bend the beams if he must as well.

reminder that Goku has used just his Kamehameha in genuinely creative and unpredictable ways back in his youth even without flight, now add that with all the techniques he has now (Solar flare, instant transmission, destructo disc, afterimage, Kaioken, Ultra Instinct, Vegeta's Technique™)
his situational awareness is also insane considering he took Roshi's glasses to block solar flare mid-fight, used the water as cover in Namek for a sneak attack, and uses falling debris as footing for the sliding kamehameha.

I like the idea of equalizing stats for these types of discussions. It lets you bring out character ingenuity and think of all kinds of hypotheticals. DBZ in general is hard to compare with other series because it very VERY quickly becomes a "My Number's bigger" argument. Which to me is both un-fun and antithetical to what dbz was supposed to be about.
You point out a lot of the interesting aspects in this. Both fighters are uncannily astute and analytical when it comes to a fight, in completely different ways. Goku is a martial arts genius that took EVERY lesson about how to improve to heart. Jotaro is kinda more like Batman, being crazy observant and aware of his surroundings. We know Goku has the capacity to adapt and figure out a time skip, not unsafe to think he could quickly figure out a time stop. Jotaro could also very easily realize how dangerous Goku is really fast and try and shut the fight down immediately... mand I could think about this for hours, cheers. xD

I'm also referring to how a lot of these fights wind up becoming "X is capable of city level destruction while Y has done double that, therefore Y wins any and all fights between them." To me that kinda feels pointless a lot of the time because it ignores things like character flaws, personality traits, or demonstrated combat ingenuity that makes the characters so beloved in the first place.

Even with equal stats it’s just very daunting for Jotaro to win either fights. Goku has to much experience on his side, so if Jotaro doesn’t end the fight instantly he loses.

Isn't... Isn't that a pretty massive bar to cross in equalized stats when it comes to speed? Especially since unlike SSJ, this isn't a form, it's a technique, so trying to argue that it counts towards stats equalized enters some pretty weird territory.
Of course, in character, Goku isn't going to immediately reach for that option, but I felt like this was forgotten about.

If it's Goku who just arrived on namek then 3x is his best but if it's post Ginyu fight Goku who was healed in the healing pod then he can do 20x

Ok so first of all I think this is really interesting, and while I believe Goku wins most of the time (rip my man Jotaro) I do think there's a couple of variables that would be interesting.
Outside of time stop and maybe some more scrappy ingenuity using his things on the battlefield to his advantage (something Goku doesn't really do, he's more so good at adapting to an opponent) the biggest advantage Jotaro has is the fact that Goku can't see stands, and won't be able to predict SP's moves.
Now, stands are a manifestation of the soul/ fighting spirit which arguably could be equated to ki (or genki, which is technically different in Dragon Ball) so you could also argue that Goku could sense SP, which would remove much of Jotaro's advantage again.
Lastly depending on whether or not Jotaro himself is changed at all, the fight could be over as soon as Goku lands a hit on him
If he's just regular Jotaro and Goku's brought down to SP stats (or even more so if the other way around), he probably wouldn't survive more than a punch from Goku, he's only a human .
If he is however buffed, we could potentially see him fighting Goku on two fronts, and drawing attention away from his stand. We know Jotaro is pretty strong for just a human, being able to absolutely beat the shit out of an adult man as just a little child.
An even more interesting match up would probably be Dio (part 1, part 3 and part 3 with his full vampire powers restored) vs Cell (imperfect, semi and perfect). Or Ultimate Kars vs Cell

So that means goku can see Star platinum without a problem

I do believe Jotaro would be able to take more than a couple of hits from Goku, because as he's taken on an entire flurry of rushes from The World who has the same strength as star platinum, that only fractured three of Jotaro's bones (and those these move mftl which is crazy).
@@nobled1113 a serious punch from Star Platinum crippled Dio and punched through his gut I don't think Jotaro would survive a punch like that from a professional martial artist like Goku
Also the only fan translation I can find that says Star Platinum is faster than light is one full of shoddy translations, the one I read which seemed to be better translated heavily implied that its ftl movement is not a separate thing but how time stop works, which also matches how we generally think space time works, the faster you move the less you experience time, so that moving at the speed of light would cause time to freeze from your perspective.
If people are using an actually good translation to claim that it can, then maybe it has more merit, but I've yet to see that.
(I also don't understand how a stand that can supposedly move faster than light was caught off guard by a stand that could only move like 300km/h Crazy Diamond, that should be snail's pace even at close range, iirc about 1000 times slower)
Ultimately both are fan translations so we'll have to wait until the official one comes out to say for sure

Ki blasts are all stronger than their users physical strikes, or are implied to be in all cases they're used. Even a standard kiblast would be stronger than a regular punch the ki user would use. Its why they use them, cheap, fast, and hits hard.

You know I'm really glad you took their characters into account because too many what if fight scenarios just say "Oh Goku would kill this other person immediately" or "Oh my character would just kill Goku immediately with X hax ability despite the fact they've never once began a fight using it!" It really adds to a more mature take by taking their characterization into account as well. One thing though, Other characters such as Nappa and Dodoria are able to emit Ki from their mouths and Goku himself has shot a kamehameha from his feet before so I could see a scenario where Jotaro breaks Gokus arms only for Goku to shoot a kamehameha from his feet and headbutt Jotaro since I doubt Goku would ever just outright kill Jotaro
I always wondered about this. And a lot of other characters in Jojo versus Goku.
In an equalized stats case, Jotaro isn't exactly the best matchup for Jojo given that half of what he does is that he has a high statline compared to the Jojo cast. In an equalized stats case, it benefits characters that traded off stats for other things. However, no one in the Jojo cast is terribly all that good at fighting so most of the ones who beat Goku just beat him anyway without needing to equalize stats because they hax him out and there's nothing he can do. For example, GER stops Goku from doing anything. Goku attacking Wonder of U will get him killed. The only ones I see where stats would change the result are maybe ones like Okuyasu and Vanilla Ice. Okuyasu basically comes down to the first attack, maybe the second or third when space scraping to move happens. Vanilla Ice likely gets bodied till he goes inside Cream but Goku being Goku would probably wait for him to do so at which point Vanilla Ice probably wins. Dio is the same as the Jotaro matchup except that he's more likely to win because Dio is more prone to doughnuting than Jotaro.

This is a cool vid. Great work and I agree with everything you said regarding the fights. One quick minor misconception I noticed was Super Kaioken’s existence. With any grade of SSJ that isn’t grade 4 you will die from it due to the reasoning you gave. However, grade 4 is essentially your base form but stronger which would allow for the usage of Kaioken on top. I definitely can still see and understand why it’s thought to be impossible though. The series tells us it twice and we never actually see the concept unfold other than with Blue or DB Heroes.
Goku has said somewhere in super that he can't use kk in any form other than blue, he can only use it because of the amount of ki control he has in mastered ssjb. and the only time he used it in z was in a non-cannon fight vs pikkon
@@nobeldum5417 that is contradicted by the fact grade 4 is exactly like base form as stated by Goku in the Cell saga that they were working to perfect the form with no drawbacks. That’s why I call it a misconception because grade 4 should be what we see Goku using by this point as the previous grades are irrelevant. Also Old Kai was the one who said if you mix SSJ + Kaioken you die. That would only apply for grades 1, 2, and 3 tho.

Hit time skip is very and I mean VERY different from a time stop so even if we talked about db super goku he won’t counter the time stop like he did with hit time skip.
He would get caught the first time but would use after image or a smoke screen every time after if he thinks it's coming, it would be like jotaro vs mih but he gets to keep his 5 seconds
@@TLDH1They are very different abilities, but it does show Goku's ability to adapt to something in unique ways and get a read on his opponent. The way he countered time skip was by having seen how Hit fights, he started predicting ahead in the fight and started making snap decisions based on what Hit was most likely just about to do, as opposed to what Hit was actively doing. Not saying this gives Goku the ability to counter Star Platinum, but it does open the window for him to make it not just an Insta win button.

this makes me wonder what Jolyne vs Goku would be like, afterall, she has her strings and martial arts prowess as we saw in the C-Moon and Planet Waves fights.
My favorite part about this is the complete fighting-style difference between the two. Whenever Goku fights someone the hardest damage he does is break their arms or something similar (excluding regenerating enemies like Cell and Buu). However when Jotaro fights he actively tries to cripple them in whatever way he can. I don't think it would have any difference on the fight, but it would be funny to see.
Goku crippled Nappa but he was extremely pissed off that most of his friends was killed so that’s a exception.

Both believe to be perfect and both believe to be the ultimate life form, it would be actually interesting knowing how they both can regenerate and what they'd do in a similar situation with equalized stats.
Could start off as Imperfect Cell vs. Kars then Perfect Cell vs. Ultimate Kars that would possibly progress into Super Perfect Cell vs. Ultimate Kars (with Hamon, and many more liberties on him such as hypthetical stands)
or even separate the third fight with a Jorge Joestar's Kars.

cell wins because of his regen factor, kars has no way to erase every cell in cells body. also cell is part saiyan so if kars chops him into pieces cell will heal back (because of Piccolos genes) and be a lot stronger.
@@EliyahDaBoss Cell can only experience a zenkai boost when he comes from the brink of death, which - given his biology - is incredibly extreme - he had to basically blow himself up and become nothing more than a small nucleus

A thing I wanted to mention was that Jotaro can one shot Goku in time stop via stopping his heart. This is why I think Jotaro just clears Goku in a blood lusted fight to be honest

One interesting thing to reflect about this two on a friendly sparring.
If you don't consider reading ki enough to detect an stand, is the idea of Goku fighting an "invicible" opponent.
And assuming Platinum is the one that scales up to him, it'll be quite a thrilling puzzle of a fight.
Plus imagne he has Senzu beans for when the fight ends, that"ll real change how Goku sees beat up a human
Goku would know Jotaro is bacically at the level of Mr.Satan.
He'll be force to fight cautious against someone who can unleash as he pleases
Just imagine, Goku being a prick forcing Jotaro to bend a knee, putting him on calculated risk as he realizes how he depends his integrity on his ghost something, ¿would you unleash this barrage of punches that might finally put me down at exchange of allowing you hit the ground like a projectile?;
Destroying the scenary, using his ki blasts and bending them at last minute, speedblitzing a finishing poke attack
And Jotaro using his time stop and smarts, to both turnt the tide and counter just another barrage of punches.
Which speaking of their fight styles, an equalized Platinum would beat Goku and give no break at close quarters, the fun thing starts when he realizes his poor range.
Finally we reach the ideal scenary of Goku fanfic fights. Where the thrill of it is Goku can lose without realizing on it, by the simple thrill of it!
Who would win between Jotaro, DIO, Diavolo, Kira, and Pucci against Sakuya Izayoi (stats equalized)? I equalize stats because I don't want to hear "Pucci blitz" or "Sakuya blitz" arguments. Can these time manipulating stand users defeat the maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion?
Even with equalized stats, I think Sakuya wins because of resistances. I think that she's just straight up immune to time-related abilities, which instantly nullifies the JoJo top tiers' hax except for one: Kira. But even if he destroyed her entirely with KQ, she has acausality (so killing her wouldn't matter because she technically exists outside of time).

Stuff like Kaioken and Super Saiyan multiply the base, and I of course am assuming that their equalized stats are based on their base. Namek Goku can immediatly go x10 making him 10 times stronger and faster than Jotaro. He would also use Kaioken, as he can use up to x10 safely on Namek . Now, the same goes for Super Saiyan, a x50 as stated in the vid. Even if we account for Jotaro breaking limbs, it doesn't take the to use ki attacks. Limbs just make it easier, like a wand used for magic. It's a channel. I believe Goku sweeps both of these fights easily.
if you wanna make naruto content, then i'd say making a naruto character vs jojo character discussion would be a good idea, as it would draw in naruto fans, and would make standalone naruto content more easily attainable to be sold to a larger audience!
I do kind of disagree with the last point you mention of saying that we have 3 parts to know that Jotaro does this kind of stuff, when you are specially using only End of Part 3 Jotaro which is not as experience as the other 2 and I would think Goku would probably take the second round cause of that and better Battle IQ
But overall, this was a pretty fun video, it’s interesting to think how those 2 versions of Goku would probably interact with that Jotaro in a fight where they are on an equal
Enrico Pucci versus All for One
Battle of the Thieves, both are able to steal abilities, one can use stolen abilities, the other can create command disks and manipulate memories
Ngl, one thing he sorta forgot about, is that when jotaro is bloodlusted, especially in the dio fight, he tends to aim for the head. So on the cell saga side of this fight, Jotaro would most likely end up busting gokus skull before he figures out that jotaro is going for the kill.

You should probably mention their starting points and the amount of distance between them because it plays a crucial role whether or not Jotaro can immediately stop time and kill Goku as the most diatance we've ever seen Jotaro cover in stopped time was 15ish metres in part 4. Part 3 Jotaro's timeskip is 3/4 of part 4 Jotaro's so if he isn't in 12ish metres range of Goku at the start, it gives Goku time to fly in the opposite direction and think about ways to beat Jotaro

The big difference is that Goku may be able to sense star platinum (but not see him), therefore being able to sense Jotaro.

I think most of everything you said here is fine, EXCEPT for a key detail: Goku relying on his hands and legs to use his powers. Uhm, this was a plot point several times, actually, in Dragon Ball.
Goku's limbs being broken was a repeated occurrence by antagonists to specifically reduce his danger level, like when King Piccolo broke both his legs and one arm, and was defeated anyway because Ki isn't some limb-limited force. It can be projected at the same capacity through one's feet, or mouth. Similarly, when having BOTH LEGS and BOTH ARMS broken by Piccolo, Goku still defeated him via just headbutting him. And when Vegeta broke both his legs, Goku literally just fired an energy blast from one of his remaining hands in his eye.
What I'm trying to say is Jotaro will try, and probably SUCCEED, in breaking a limb. Maybe two. He won't get all four, as Goku will recognize that strat and fight back. Worse, it would and should totally surprise Jotaro, since this assumption he made was completely wrong. And even if he did get all his limbs, Goku can still fly and fire beams without his limbs working, and if all else fails, headbutt.
And as you've mentioned, Goku's compatriots already got around stopped time, and Goku canonically has figured out how to get around a similar power in the form of Time Skip. I find it incredibly unlikely Jotaro could succeed at this strategy, even in stopped time, via things like his barriers able to prevent attack or harm, and Jotaro DOES have a cooldown of some sort for him to operate in-Though it does seem to vary depending on the amount of Time Stopped. Regardless, the point is Goku's limbs being broken simply isn't a factor.
Even with equalized stats, I think Goku's superior maneuverability, range and combat experience will give him the advantage to pull the win. That's just my opinion though.
This is an equalized match, in this fight Star Platinum would be a huge problem for him.

And even if super was involved, the stats are equalized. Ofc Goku would wipe the floor with Jotaro in a regular setting. But here their physical attributes are equal. Star Platinum is physically stronger than Jotaro and Toriyama confirmed that time abilities in DB can only be overpowered by those who are more powerful than their wielder. Like i said, in this fight SP would be a major problem for Goku.

I’m pretty sure Goku just wins in almost every case. The only time I see him losing is if Jotaro consistently stops time over and over again. Goku’s a better tactician and can probably predict Star Platinum’s punches pretty easily before the Saiyan Saga. Not only that, just being able to change the landscape at will is a huge advantage for Goku since he can mess up Jotaro’s plan. Not to say Jotaro isn’t going to be able to land any up close hits but he hasn’t had any formal martial arts training, it’s always been a game of power and planning in Jojo.
Another thing worth mentioning is that it’s probably taking Jotaro at least a few time stops to bring Goku down even while bloodlusted. Goku’s pain tolerance is a fair bit higher and a single time stop isn’t enough to instantly kill regardless of which fighter is having their stats raised/dropped.
Its not bloodlusted but even if yeah Goku is just skilled
However we cant really sleep on timestop, having your opponent immobile for even a second is insane advantage if you can do it multiple times then gg. Really comes down to if Goku is gonna go for challenge and not use long range attacks
@@krysert4552 That’s exactly it, Jotaro best chance comes from time stop. Outside of it, Goku begins dominating in sheer talent and tactics. Jotaro needs to find the perfect moments to stop time (and not call out “The World” when he stops time or Goku’s going to catch on to the trick) and somehow cripple Goku, which is hard with the whole equalized stats thing.

@@krysert4552 While true, same can be said for Goku’s perception. And he already excels at hand to hand combat, meaning Star Platinum’s usual strategy of hard punching won’t work. Goku’s going to be aiming for the same shots with a better chance since he knows how to actually fight. Jotaro also doesn’t have much defense against ki attacks, especially tracking ones, and things like the Solar Flare. And Goku’s been able to work ki blasts into his hand to hand combat

And yes Goku may be good at predicting but there is still a thing that he cant see stands so he cant predict star platinum punches just like it to go for injury while not risking one in process. Also solar flare require both hands so Goku cant do it up close and if he does it by flying up he may be able to get Jotaro but Star Platinum acts on its own anyway so it wouldnt really matter in big picrure

I got another animedia character that could be fun to fight with Jotaro. Ren Fuji from dies irae, his power is specifically time slowing which can lead to eventual timestop. Where as Jotaro moves super fast Ren can slow down everything around him so it's an interesting parallel. And I don't mean he moves so fast things seem slower to him i mean he actually slows down time. Somebody with the exact opposite power but it leads to the same results. Specifically uh... Before he gets super OP thought.

KC with equalised stats solos DB because DB a) doesn't have a power system to build off and b) just has boring powers that are "get even bigger number". Meanwhile jjba's stands provide a variety of powers that warp reality as we know it and KC clearly isn't the top of the list in terms of power
@we_be_vibin No what I said was because DB's characters have such boring powers that cause fights to boil down to finding out who has the biggest number, time skip(hit/KC) would both solo that verse with equalised stats. In JJBA, however, the setting has so much variety and has abilities that are intrinsically better than time skip that hit/KC wouldn't come out on top(obviously evident in RTZ which even solos DB without equalised stats and beat KC). The same power holds a different weight in different settings. I'm not disagreeing that hit solos DB with equalised stats, I'm disagreeing that KC is the most overpowered stand in JJBA when stats are equalized

explained in the super anime that goku cant stack kaioken on super saiyan and is only possible to do on blue because of its whole "power through extreme control" thing and it being more compatible with kaioken because of it matching up with its calming focus part and also needing ki control for the kaioken thus making a combination of kaioken and super saiyan blue (mostly) the only form to stack kaioken on top of though technically there could be an argument that super saiyan 4 could be stacked with kaioken but as we all know ssj4 isnt canon to super so... yeah.

Cause if he's not a Stand user he flat out can't see Star Platinum, meaning it's gonna be VERY hard to tell when something is gonna happen if you have a bloodlusted Jotaro genuinely trying to break you and you can't even see how he's doing it, nor can you even stop the thing from doing it cause Goku ALSO can't physically interact with SP.
He wouldn’t be able to see Star platinum but Goku would be able to sense him since Sp is the physical manifestation of Jotaro’s life essence or soul

Namek saga Goku can use Kaioken up to times ten without harming his body. This isn't a fight.
Another thing, Ki Sense WOULD allow goku to see stands since stands are basically manifested life energy. If Goku ever decides to use a Kamehaneha (which he has shown he can redirect to curve and hit his enemies against Raditz), Jotaro would die. The Kamehameha as a technique multiplies the user's power level by about 2.7x while in use, and with that kind of force, you can one shot someone who'd now be that much weaker than you but doesn't have dragon ball level durability. Not to mention, Goku could just activate Kaioken on top of that and REALLY seal the deal.
