@@JThePervertedSummoner That's just stupid Powerscaling. Powerscaling is quite literally about substituting things from 1 series to another to try to fairly compare 2 characters. If you actually understood powerscaling, you would realize that both Haki and Stands are manifestations of the will/spirit of the user, and that you would need to substitute one and the other to have a fair powerscale.

One thing i'd like to clear up is that a logia user does not need to manually dodge unless the attack includes haki. If it is a physical attack without haki, it will act as if you hit whatever element they are made out of. With haki, it will hit their main body and you need to use haki of equal strength to counteract it, or manually dodge it. This is why people with haki can easily hit logia users, because they never had to manually dodge attacks so when they are forced to do so they don't have the skill required.
A lot of people make the misconception that a logia user consciously have to dodge but they don’t they are made of there element and will break apart on contact whether time stops or speed regardless.
@@josephalli2086 The Alabasta scene with Smoker and Ace does muddy waters, but I think where we are now it's pretty set that logia intangibility is just a passive thing. Like genuinely we never see this blitzing a logia user before they even consciously think about being their element.
That said, Jotaro can just run or learn Haki, since it's willpower based, it should be easy enough for him

Logia users can produce an infinite amount of their element. In more than 1100 chapters of One Piece, there's never been a case of a logia user "running out" of their element. So, there's literally no way Jotaro would beat Smoker by "inhaling all of his smoke"

Haki is a manifestation of the spiritual energy/will of the user, just like stands.
So a stand should be able to touch logia users.
Edit: As one guy pointed out in the responses, it should also work in the other way. People with haki should be able to touch and see stands, with armament and observation respectively.
And vice versa, for consistency

@@czms922 also there are multiple points in the series where logia users are not aware of an attack and their logia abilities save them. for example ace in the ace novel where he sets his hat on fire after eating the fruit because he didnt know it was a devil fruit, crocodile getting cut off by luffys punch with his eyes closed but the logia effect still saves him. and sabo also setting stuff on fire because he couldnt control his ability.

Iron body doesn't mean it's as strong as iron, it means it's strengthened the body beyond human limits. And One Piece characters already have a big edge on durabilty and stamina compared to Jojo characters.
I really like these videos of placing Jojo characters in another universe and seeing how they stack up.

Logia users don’t reflexively change to that element, they ARE made of that element. There are multiple example in the series where logia users get caught off guard but are still undamaged. They are kind of like stands in the fact that they can only get hurt one of two ways
1: Another logia who naturally counters their element (a la Eneru and Luffy)
2: Armament Haki

@@xenobreyden That’s the thing; some of the stuff you equalize doesn’t make sense when you try, especially for more complex stuff. They mechanically work similarly, with both using one’s spiritual/life energy, but they function completely differently. Reiryoku, Curse Energy, and Ki make sense to equalize since they are relatively similar in and function, but something like Reiryoku and Haki doesn’t because they function alike, and if you want to verse equalize, do it with stuff that functions similar rather than mechanically sounding similar at first. For example, stands and devil fruits function more alike than stands and haki.

I feel like stands and haki measure up pretty well in terms of what they stand for. Haki is will infused into people's fists/weapons, and stands are fighting will. I think they would interact in some way lol

About the Logia thing, they aren't reactive, they are passive abilities, even if you catch them off guard they can still get phased through, the only way Enel got hurt is because a dial stored in pure pain itself and transferred it to him while he was off guard, he has been attacked off guard a lot and it never worked they just got zapped just touching him

As a one piece scaler, Enel should scale to the attack that was going to destroy the entirety of Skypiea, or island level. This is because he is the powersource of said attack, he just needed the machine to cover a larger area. So, while he could destroy an island, he has the AP, not the DC to do so.
By that point Jotaro would be able to blitz but not to damage. Luffy also scales to that level as he dispelled the same attack with a punch.
I would argue that Enel should be somewhat below island level as he destroyed Skypea, an island made of Island Cloud, and Ganfall states that Vearth/Earth IS stronger than Island Cloud after he witnesses Enel destroy Skypea

I could see Jotaro losing to Kuma and then gradually learning how Haki and Stand Power aren't too different to each other
Imagine him rolling back up post-timeskip with a grasp on how to apply Haki to Star Platinum or himself, or what he can do with observation haki in tandem with his already insane precision

But to add:
A) As some people mentioned. And does come up in Vs debates - Logia users are passive. They don’t need to react in order to phase through attacks, it just happens.
B) Luffy didn’t have Observation before the timeskip, he was just that superhuman to react to Kuro, Bellamy, etc.
C) Post-timeskip OP power ceiling goes CRAZY. Without spoiling you - Haki is a wild system.
with the Enel fight there is some context you miss
Enel has a basic form of observation haki he calls “mantra” that covers the entire island of Skiepia, Jotaro needs to get close to fight but Enel could just espam range attacks util he kills Jotaro
remember that in the fight with Sheer Heart Attack Jotaro suffers some mayor damage, so Enel really could kill Jotaro be throwing lightning at a distance
You should consider this video idea again but with a crew of all Jojo protagonists or just with other characters in general. I always enjoy this types of content

I have actually been mulling over for a long time which team would come out on top, CP9 vs La Squadra.
Especially if it's an elimination mission; the in character match up of La Squadra trying to assassinate Spandam in Water 7 while dealing with the cloaked CP9 Agents in their masks. The opportunity for mind games, slowly gathering intel on both sides, and watching simple pieces like Blueno or Pesci getting picked off building towards Metallica vs good ol Leopard Robert.
I think it's a really fun topic.
Note: if you think that CP9 needs more home field advantage, then playing fortress defense in Enies Lobby would probably be easier for them.
So i remember this topic quite a while ago, but who would win between Muzan and Diavolo? I don't think Diavolo has any way to kill Muzan other than to stall the battle until sunrise. Who would win between these two?

In a straight up fight its Muzan. Diavolo is faster and stronger than Muzan with his stand but Diavolo is still human. He's a worse Dio. Time Erase is a worse setup ability than timestop. Sure Diavolo is intangible during the time erase but he can't hit his opponent during it. Thats why Diavolo fights like an assassin. His best shot of winning is making sure his opponent can't retaliate. If they survive the first hit, his chances of winning dramatically decrease. Polnareff could prepare and counter for Diavolo. His stand just wasn't strong enough. Really if the whole crew of Passione were able to survive into the colosseum they could've taken down Diavolo without GER. GER is overkill.
That said Muzan only needs one good hit to win the fight and he can endure whatever beatings Diavolo gives him. Diavolo's only chance of survival is evading him with Time Erasure which can be simple with Epitaph. Diavolo can potentially wait until the sun arises. I could say that Muzan is intelligent enough to eventually figure out Diavolo's ability but as someone that finished Demon Slayer. I'm inclined to say no. Guy's too emotional, too full of himself, too cowardly and flat out stupid at times. His subordinates have more battle IQ and just general awareness than he does.
Muzan is massively stronger, and Diavolo is massively faster. The only way Diavolo can win is if he stalls until sunlight, and I think it would be pretty easy for him, considering he has Epitaph and is just faster in every way possible.
Biggest whif was that you didn't elaborate how Jotaro is a tactician. One of the largest gimmicks of a stand battle is to figure out the users ability (or user themself)to counter it. If Jotaro knows the ability right from the start of a battle that gives him plenty of time to figure out a comprehensive strategy. He can also shoot bullets from his fingers too so I can see most battles going into frozen time and him headshotting them and walking away.

Im currently crusading in my toilet while watching this
Depending on how much you want to gas Stands, Jotaro could go decently far or not that far. If you give Stands the innate ability to hit souls due to how they can interact with other Stands, Jotaro goes decently far. Otherwise, I can't really see him getting past Crocodile, mostly due to the logia barrier, unless he finds out about the water weakness. Then he loses to maybe Enel due to long range attacks or Moria if he gets his shadow taken. If not Enel or Moria, I can see Sabaody or Impel Down being the hard stop for paradise.
As for New World stuff if you think Jotaro clears pre timeskip, again unless you want to gas Stands so much that not even Observation can sense them, most Observation haki users can most likely sense Star Platinum and its movements. Dodging Star Platinum and countering timestop will still be an issue. However I think he stops at Dressrosa. Doffy has too many long range abilities and pseudo-flight, Jotaro being close range is a big issue and even timestop won't be enough. Doffy arguably has even enough durability to survive Star Platinum.

Jotaro has the speed to dodge crocodiles attacks and if luffys dumbass could figure out water would make crocodile solid, jotaro deffo could.
But he deffo loses to enel cuz theres no water and he doesnt have rubber so theres no way to damage enel.

There is also the con that other haki users can in turn also see Star Platinum and even punch it (don't think it's necessary since Jotaro's an easier target) but that's acceptable for him.

Enel can destroy islands, he was almost going to wipe out both Skypiea and Upper Yard in one shot, also has a 500 million berri bounty and some of the best observation haki

Logias are whole can of worms with evidence on either side of the argument for if the ability needs to be specifically activated, and the 2 points agaisnt it are Crocodile saying he had to train to be able to reflexively turn and Smoker and Ace getting hit by Luffy's Gum-Gum Rocket (hell Ace even reacted when Smoker was hit), but those are early story events and we know how OP can be a bit inconsistent in terms of powers

Now, your first intention to this question is to just say it’s the main villains stand, right? Well, it’s not always necessarily the main villains stand that the main cast struggles to defeat the most, but rather the stand that the main cast struggle with, at that particular position they’re in at that exact moment and fight.

Keep in mind, Jotaro is a very tactical fighter than a majority of one piece characters.
He could also defeat characters without necesarily having to kill them, similar to how Josuke handled Angelo.

Nothing about the original question implies that jotaro gets haki. Its just jotaro as we know him already. Giving him haki and one piece growth is just finding a way to make him win.

first off you're completely neglecting to mention one of jotaros most valuable traits: his intelligence, jotaro is extremely good at figuring how an opponents abilities work and is perfectly capable of figuring out how to counter most of them, he also has a high understanding of physics which he can use to achieve a lot in combination with star platinums power and speed (like using friction to light a fire).
you're also underestimating star platinums sheer destructive power, star platinum can break diamonds with his fists, which means that star platinum is stronger than casual mihawk who could not damage jozu at marineford, meaning that the steel bodies of franky, kuma or the pacifista aren't an issue for jotaro at all.
No, it's not. Because Mihawk's slash wasn't even intended for Jozu. There's a whole thing about swordsmen learning to cut what they need to and not cut anything else, which is what Zoro is doing. Thats what Mihawk did to Whitebeard, hence why Jozu could block it. Hell, Jotaro isn't winning against Jozu, simply due to Haki defence. He couldn't even destroy a road roller when he needed to, he's fucked

On stands vs one piece I would say that Anubis could defeat Mihawk. Might take a few tries but Anubis learns from his mistakes so after enough of his Weilders die to mihawk he would squeeze out the win. Also the sword phasing might surprise mihawk.
Honestly, yeah. With how much Anubis grows in that short amount of time, I say around 15-20 iterations of possessions and he could get Mihawk. Shorter if Anubis possesses a New World tier swordsman. Heck I could argue if Polnareff plus Anubis had the AP they could beat Mihawk simply cause they have the speed already.
@@msaag5490 in all fairness though you would need wielders that could keep up with Mihawk and there is nothing stopping Mihawk from destroying the sword as he could probably tell that the sword itself is cursed thanks to perception Haki.

I think people forget how insanely clever jotaro is, I think he would have logia users figured out pretty quickly for the most part, I could probably see him getting at least as far as maybe sky island without much difficulty and even then I think he'd beat Enel

I made a post once on an OP subreddit about which of the eight JoJos from completed parts would be the best fit for the Straw Hat crew; maybe that's an idea. If the JoJos all formed a Pirate Crew, what roles would they play? Who would be the captain, the first mate, the navigator, etc.?
For context, I think we all collectively decided the best JoJo to join the Straw Hats was Gappy, and not just because he dresses like a sailor.

He is not surviving long, he doesn’t have haki, he stand range isn’t long, his time stop range aint that far, his time stop doesn’t last long and we all knows the affect of Jotaro using timestop alot
He can learn haki... If he's just dropped into the verse he will eventually learn Haki... Stand range is made up for in Part 4 (ball bearing go brr), TS doesnt have "Range", and 5 seconds is enough to ora ora almost anyone

What happens if someone moves into the time stop's range _after_ it was already activated? Does the time stop's range update when DIO/Jotaro move? If not, what happens if they run outside of it while it's still active? There's too many issues for it not to be global
@@Ammiad its not global because during the fight of dio and jotaro it was a point in battle where jotaro was trying to flee away from dio to escape the range of his timestop but dio caught up to him. Made in heaven is global cause the mf can quite literally speed up and move at infinite speed meaning bro can quite literally travel across earth a infinite amount of times. Plus you have to look at star platinum range stats its a C which is NOT GOOD even when he learns bearing shot his range still isn’t all that good cause his and dio stand is not a range stands there close range, plus time stop is a skill that only freeze things around jotaro. Also if anyone one or thing walks in it they are indeed frozen in time kinda like silver chariot requiem his range is not world wild but once you are within his range you will be affected there only like 2 or 3 stands to my knowledge that can genuinely affect the entire planet.

I don't know, I think Stands being a physical manifestation of psychic abilities would be similar to Haki and would mean that a punch with Star Platinum is like being punched with armament haki, which would nullify logia-users' ability to evade damage. Basically, Star Platinum punches are not bludgeoning damage, they are magical force damage.
Probably not. He has no way of dealing w logia users and without timestop most characters are way faster and have better durability to withstand star platinum. Especially luffy cause blunt force is way less effective on him.

Please do a lot of vs and powerscaling on one piece, there is not much about it on youtube and i find it hard because of the goofy nature of the characters to scale them, since you seem good at it i would like to see your take on those characters powers
Now you got me wondering if there are any Jojos that can make it further. For example I bet young Joseph could have easier times than Jotaro with some logias due to his insane intelligence. I can easily see him figuring out Crocodile’s water weakness and Enel’s rubber weakness.
By the way, turning into logia elements is automatic. The only exception is the Mochi Mochi no mi, Or Mochi Mochi Fruit, which technically isn’t a logia but has the same behaviours, since it isn’t a logia the transformation is on reflex and observation haki. Jotaro cant beat logia users unless he has sea stone or armament haki. Technically, they are constantly in their logia form, but just look like a normal person, and their elements don’t react with the environment. But that is possibly a translation issue.
Possibly time stop could beat them, but that’s a bit iffy. All in all JJBA and One Piece are both awesome!
