Their hit Bloody Well Right from the earlier Crime of the Century album is a total banger and so much fun. One of my favorite rock outros with somebody going nuts on the guitar is Sweet Memories from the middle of side B of the Rush 2112 album. The very very last thing you can hear if you listen closely is Alex Lifeson doing this crazy wild out-of-control unexpected bend really up high. It's just total hardcore jam craziness, which I'm sure they jammed on that for another minute or two after the fade-out.
this song seems simple but isn't! every note (keyboards guitar bass drums) played the right moment whit the right sound and the dynamic development is masterful
Great song! The way the guitar solo develops is genius. Steely Dan does a lot of outtro guitar solos, just teasing you to turn up the volume as it fades.
Great reaction,… Great analysis and feel for the music,… Great song,… great album,…..Great group,… Thank you for that!!!!! Look forward to whatever you got coming!!!!! Peace….
Regarding the high falsetto backing vocals, it does kind of sound like the Bee Gees but to me it is has always reminded me of doo-wop backing vocals from the 1950s.
I gotta say, you're an interesting guy. I rarely get into reactors who talk so much and I'm enjoying seeing you process, learn, and grow as you expose yourself to music you've never heard before/
I was just thinking that when you stopped the video to mention it. I have heard this song so many times but never thought about it that way until I saw your reaction. I used to own this record when it first cam out in 1979. Bee Gees were Disco and this was prog and you just never thought about it that way
A friend of mine was a confirmed bachelor. We were on a dart team together and so we went to bars. He was the life of the party and he was always saying that 3 words would never come out of his month ... "I love you"... he was usually with one for a few days then move on. There were times when one would move in with him, but he would not let her stay for more than a few months and didn't let her tie him down. There was an occasion that one of them latched on to him. They would go out dancing and she would get jealous. I heard women criticize him. He would tell her go with someone else. Me for one. But he did always made it clear to everyone That those 3 words would never come out of his mouth.
I really wish you would do some listening to The Moody Blues. Another freaking awesome band that could do it all. They were out before Supertramp if I’m not mistaken. One of my all time favorite bands.
Goodbye Stranger sounds like the life of a band that is always moving on. There is an official video that looks like they are in a studio stage playing this very version.
If you're new to Supertramp a few other great tunes that you might not have heard is "Bloody Well Right", "School", "Fool's Overture". Although pretty much their entire catalog is great. But the songs I mentioned were amongst their bigger songs.
Bloody Well Right from Crime of the Century is one of my favorite songs of theirs but it doesn't get mentioned as often as stuff from Breakfast in America.
You should listen to the whole album by Supertramp called "Crime of the Century", it's fantastic. Also, their album "Even in the Quietest Moments" is great, too.
This is one of my favorite Supertramp songs. Definitely in my top 5. In response to people telling you to settle down. That is entirely up to you. If you're not ready, then it wouldn't likely work anyway. You settle down when you're ready. On that note, you should check out Hank Williams Jr. - "All My Rowdy Friends (Have Settled Down)" ua-cam.com/video/Ct8V4nF9oOI/v-deo.htmlsi=LZDLTsB7sk2tQwOV
A better thing to call it would be Pop-Rock Pop by itself you be more like Olivia Newton John, John Denver, The Carpenters, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Hellen Reddy and songs that would get airplay on AM Radio Supertramp would be played on FM and that was for more hardcore also you need to check out Steely Dan. They even have a song called FM
"Rudy" is for me one of their best work, from the album "Crime of the Century " Comparing to Bee Gees is a joke!!! "Breakfast in America" was just their more commercial era! For me "Crime of the Century", "Crisis? What Crisis?", "Even in the Quietest Moments" was the best of the band....
Never paid this much attention to the lyrics,but-- I can't believe the ladies would respect this type of 'attention'. And now that I'm tuned in to the lyrical bent-especially that 'devil is my savior' line, I have a newfound disrespect for the the song and lyricist. Respect this? Nope--no can do,bro. T
@hanierfamily No, mine is the FEDERALLY MANDATED spelling of America's Founding Crop - this is the only one of two Laws that remain intact from FDR's 1937 Enactment and subsequent SCOTUS Case, US vs Timothy Leary 1969, which lead as you should know to President Nixon's CSA 1970. (Passed without requisite constitutional amendment, mind you) This is why every single criminal prosecution case in the United States exclusively spells it this particular way
@@matthewstover5149 And it is still the improper spelling of the word. Intentionally, by the government. The actual term you should be using is cannabis. It is a plant that has been villainized by the American government to to help chemical and oil companies in making huge profits, because hemp, what they really wanted to make illegal, would bankrupt them.
This is a fun song, catchy. Always a favorite.
Take The Long Way Home is another one of theirs. School, too.
Supertramp was technically such a tight group. The high energy and lighthearted quality are what stand out for me. Love this whole album, too.
Their hit Bloody Well Right from the earlier Crime of the Century album is a total banger and so much fun.

my favorite supertramp song.

Journey's "Who's Crying Now" is another one that has a guitar-solo fadeout! Love Supertramp and really enjoyed the reaction. 🙂❤
It's a really fun groupie song. Another one that we love is Faces - Stay With Me. Check that one out.
So glad you let the guitar solo play. It's really the best part of the song
eh
Timeless classic.
Peace….
I love Supertramp!
Gotta love a good whistle solo 😂✌️
Also...your right.....your bloody well right
A song as easy to listen to, as the carefree premise of the lyrics. Thanks for your reaction.
Regarding the high falsetto backing vocals, it does kind of sound like the Bee Gees but to me it is has always reminded me of doo-wop backing vocals from the 1950s.
Oooooo! Youre in for a treat with this one. 🙌
Definitely rock.
THIS ENTIRE ALBUM IS GREAT👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great take on the lyrics, I think you nailed it.
I gotta say, you're an interesting guy. I rarely get into reactors who talk so much and I'm enjoying seeing you process, learn, and grow as you expose yourself to music you've never heard before/
Keep in mind that, Pop is simply short for, Popular Music. So, technically, any song that made it on a Hit List is considered Pop. 👍🏽😁
LOTS OF FALSETTO SINGERS OUT THERE!!! SMOKEY ROBINSON, LITTLE ANTHONY, BEE GEES, BEATLES, FRANKIE VALLI AND FOUR SEASOONS🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤❤❤❤❤❤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤
wait till you dive into Crime of the Century, you will enter into there incredible prog rock side,

Yes, you're right (bloody well right ) couldn't resist :)....Moodies were formed in 1964 and SuperTramp in 1970.
Goodbye Stranger sounds like the life of a band that is always moving on. There is an official video that looks like they are in a studio stage playing this very version.

Supertramp, breakfast in america is the one. Crime of the Century is the other one .
Even In The Quietest Moments
Their 'Crie of the Century' album is - arguably - even better. You're in for a long, thrilling ride ;)
You should listen to the whole album by Supertramp called "Crime of the Century", it's fantastic. Also, their album "Even in the Quietest Moments" is great, too.
Supertramp ... Bloody Well Right ... Studio version because it begins with a fantastic key board solo. Way better than the live version.
This is one of my favorite Supertramp songs. Definitely in my top 5.

This is one of those "strap on your seatbelt songs"..........................
Good observation and interpretation 2 thumbs up
Spot on analysis. It's not too deep, and all about living a carefree life, even if you are a low-down dirty playa
Comfortably Numb, Sultans of Swing end on solo guitar.
The high range is called Falsetto singing
Guitar solo was music to runaway to…😂. One of my favourites
Oh yes 🙌
🔥🔥🔥
👍
"Mary - Jane." Marijuana! Early morning user. Gotta go now and get busy.
You need to check out Steely Dan. They have several songs along the same vein as this...start with "FM".
Get some headphones or earbuds to listen to the music you miss a lot without them.
A better thing to call it would be Pop-Rock
Pop by itself you be more like Olivia Newton John, John Denver, The Carpenters, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Hellen Reddy and songs that would get airplay on AM Radio

Friendly Stranger. Mary Jane.
"Rudy" is for me one of their best work, from the album "Crime of the Century "
Comparing to Bee Gees is a joke!!!
"Breakfast in America" was just their more commercial era!
For me "Crime of the Century", "Crisis? What Crisis?", "Even in the Quietest Moments" was the best of the band....
Solos into the fade?
There are so many it’s hard to list them all.
Pink Floyd had several.
Keep dancin.' The bee gees would approve.
The 70s were a very different time.
Check this song out live 1979 then you can see who's doing what. 🙂
Fools overtune next please
He’s looking for a meaningful overnight relationship.
🤣

No. They are not trying to sound like the BG's. Just because a note is high, doesn't mean it sounds like the BG's.
It is not the BG's style of music.
It's called FALSETTO.....,THAT THING that Bee Gees do singin' like GURLS ya know? You sir, do it pretty well yourself!
Great reaction as usual but I know I wasn’t the only one who wanted to pick that piece of lint off his beard for him…. My OCD was kicking in! 😬
You Missing the best on good songs by Supertramp because you don't juse. HEADPHONES 🎶🎧🎶🎧🎶🎧🎶🎧🎶🎧🎶
You need to get some good headphones ,there’s a lot your missing. You’ll need them for Pink Floyd etc.
Steely Dan my guy?
No way do they sound like the BEEGEES..Sorry. LOL
Its an act, a defense
A fuck you to every woman whose ever hurt him
Most people don't get it, listen closely
I thought he was talking about weed? Mary Jane? Am I wrong? All these years I thought it was about weed?
Dont have me sent to no asylum....
I don't hear too much "fun" music being made these days. Anyone have any recent examples?
No no no, they do not sound like The Bee Gees.
Pink Floyd ends many of their songs with guitar solos.
Never reacted to a song with a fade-out on solo? Must have not listened to much Steely Dan...
This whole song is replete with marihuana slang and references. It's about having to quit weed - ostensibly for a job hire
You spelled it wrong.

why does it bother me so much that you have something stuck in your beard? lol.
