- Beautiful abandoned early 1900's farmhouse with amazing woodwork inside. Canada Explore #42
update this beautiful house was saved and people are now living in it
This house sits on on a street with a few abandoned houses. Road widening and new development they will most likely be demolished at some point. I did a bit of research on this farmhouse and it was built in the early 1900's and could be on the heritage list but I cant confirm this 100%.
There used to be a large barn behind this house but it is no longer there.
A lot of the woodwork, doors, door knobs and staircases all look original to the house. This house has been abandoned for approx. 1 year. This house is decaying pretty rapidly on what I can see. Water is coming in through the ceiling on the main floor causing water damage to the drywall, insulation and hardwood flooring. Lets hope this beautiful home can be saved.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

Update this beautiful house was saved and is now lived in 😁👍
awesome to hear! its a gorgeous house...
Those pines planted as windbreak have to be nearly as old as the house, they are stunning.
So glad that it will be taken care of by new owners who probably appreciate the beauty of that home. Thank you for your walk-thru - I kind of figured it was too good to be raised. It may have been listed with a Realtor when you were there or for sale by owner, perhaps.
Finally, a happy ending. Thanks for the explore.
thank goodness
I am so glad that beautiful house got saved and someone is living in it.
What would be really nice is if the current owners contacted you for a follow up video walkthrough showing the restoration. Would love to see a family enjoying it.....
Yes! He should approach them!
I legit got teary when you said this beautiful home is probably going to be demolished. I would move to Canada just to live in this place. I swear, humans will destroy everything beautiful in the name of money.
Indigo Angel agree.
You are so right!
Would love to live in this house
Agree with you.
Update this house was saved and now lived in 😁👍
imagine all the family christmases in there.
Would hate to see this demolished. Glad to see it hasn't been trashed!
This house was lived in recently. Incredibly clean, some modern touches, no vandalism. Still beautiful.
I agree, the plastic on the windows looked pretty new as well

Oh my god that fire alarm battery notification is driving me bonkers!! LOL
I can’t imagine walking away from something so beautiful!
We bought a house like that just a bit smaller, it's gorgeous!
This is exactly the sort of house I would love to have and renovate or more just fix it up as it’s in fairly good condition and I would prefer to restore places like this to be what they were originally built to be! It’s magnificent!
This is a great home. I am so glad to hear it has a new family that has moved in. Thanks for sharing this beautiful place with us.
Beautiful old houses that haven't been updated in years are my favorite! I love history and I find original wood so fascinating.
Houses today are nothing more than expensive boxes
大王 agree and made of rubbish too. Unlike these solid homes
So true and with no character-they are all made the same yet cost so many hundreds. 🍁
Reading comments after watching, this house sure is loved. What a dream house. All that wood is amazing and those old doors/knobs.
So right on you are to tell us the house was saved and people living in it. Thank you for all this you bring to your viewers.🍁
Thanks Dana!
MY name is Bonnie FoersterI am 76 years young and I live in Salt Lake City Utah I just love what you do and then when you go through these older homes it brings back so many memories of my life my grandparents house was tore down in 1948 and it was built in 1900 the older homes have so muchthey all remind me of when I was a child you do such a fantastic job thank you you make me so happy when I see these older homes they're so beautiful than were woodworking is incredible the craftsmanship will never see you again thank you so much and stay healthy and well love from Bonnie from Salt Lake City Utah USA 💜
Your welcome Bonnie I’m glad you enjoy my channel 😁
I would self isolate myself there during this time.
Gorgeous place. Tfs!
Can say that again. The fireplace with all the wood character would be a dream (minus the leaky roof:)🍁
I really would hope they wouldn't tear down something that beautiful! Such a gorgeous house. I would LOVE to live in a house like that! Thanks for the tour!
Your welcome!
What a beautiful well loved home, such a shame to sit empty and forgotten
Not forgotten anymore! It is lived in!
That farmhouse was amazing. Beautiful inside and out. Love the red brick. The wood work was amazing. The house was in very good condition to have been abandoned....even when people move out they don't usually leave a house that clean.....even the garage was pretty clean for an abandoned property. Some of the house had been renovated....such as the kitchen and the downstairs bath. The upstairs bath was pretty true to the time period of the house. I simply love this house.....if it is demolished it will be a real shame. Too bad it had the leak ....hope it can be saved and soon so it is not ruined any further. I would love to know what happens in the future....if it is restored or demolished. Could you please let us know? ??? Please. :)
Yes I’ll be checking on it and will let you know. Hope it’s saved
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada where do you find these places anyway?
Kkkk
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada I wouldn't be surprised if someone is still caring for it. No one put plastic on the windows like that if they didn't plan to return to it.
@@TheCanadiangirl4 True enough. The inside looks SO well kept. I hope they at least plan to move the place to new property. It would be a gem.
What a beautiful old house!!! It’s good to see beautiful hardwood that isn’t covered up with paint!! Thank you!!
Yes or carpet 😂
So happy to hear that the house has been saved.
Hope they remediated that mold problem
So much beautiful character. The woodwork alone dazzles the eyes and mind. I hope this one gets saved. I hope my dream home is half this beautiful
Wow, the house is stunning, it is sad that it has been abandoned and is forlorn. I hope it is never demolished and is lived in once again.
This looks kinda like a Craftsman house. Just lovely!!
I hope and pray this house will be saved and kept.
Wow, what a stunning house. I dont understand why people would put a thumbs down on this video.
UA-cam recommends my videos so it reaches people that don’t like these type of videos. 😁👍
The people that lived the were very clean. Beautiful home!
Beautiful house, what a shame. All the built-ins are awsome! The light switches and door knobs are just amazing. Thanx for the video.
Your welcome Eric😁👍
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada Is it official that the house will be torn down?
@@TheCanadiangirl4 he posted an update that it is now lived in!
This is a beautiful house. I am glad it got saved and is being lived in!!!!
And all your videos, y'all have the most beautiful pine trees in Canada! Thanks for the videos
Such a beautiful house someone poured there heart out to build it. I hope it's not demolished.....
There was an update posted that it is now lived in!
This house is absolutely gorgeous!! Yes there was some water damage,! But, wow, I'll sell my house and move into this house!!! It'll be awfully horrible to tear down this house!! I was so excited to see your new video!! You're amazing and awesome,!!♥️
Thanks so much Peggie! Your amazing!
Very expensive home in beautiful shape except for the leak. Excellent craftsmanship with all the brick & wood. I truly hope it is saved & resold. 💕💕
If i lived in Canada I'd buy that house. It deserves to be redone. Beautiful house
I love this house, would love to live in one like that. Thanks for showing us this one!
THAT is a beautiful house! All those huge bedrooms were really nice and the woodwork was just gorgeous! The pantry in the kitchen seemed to have a trap door in the floor that would have taken you down to the cellar. Would have been called a root cellar in the old days. That room upstairs with the couch in it may have been a sleeping porch. The kids in the family would have slept out there on hot summer nights. I wish I could explore old houses, but my husband can't go along with me and I'm too scared to go alone. So I really enjoy going along with you. And thank goodness there was not an abandoned sewing machine in there!
Glad you enjoyed it Mary. I’m surprised there was no sewing machine there 😂
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada LOL!!!
Mary Ellen Brennan, I thought I noticed that trap door too
What is the significance of an abandoned sewing machine? 🤔🤔
Hope this beautiful home is saved.So much character.Would love to live there
Oh I hope this beautiful house is saved!! I love the woodwork! Thank you for another great video!!
Wow the woodwork, doors, and the cabinet built into the wall! And clawfoot tub to top it off. Beautiful! Great find thx :)
Shame if it is torn down.
Hope you’re right about it being a Heritage House so that it might be saved. Interior woodwork is beautiful. From inside it almost gives an “Eastlake” vibe. Lovely explore. Thanks for taking you with us. Stay healthy!
~~~Deb in Virginia
Thanks Deborah. 😁👍 take care
Deborah Rogers what is Heritage House?
Carrie Adams In the US we have houses designated as either state or national historic sites. As such they’re eligible to receive certain tax benefits but they’re also restricted as to what renovations/remodeling is done. Soooo-I’m assuming that a Canadian Heritage house would be similar.
Deborah Rogers thanks!
What a beautiful property and absolutely no vandalism which is so refreshing. I hope they save this gem as so many are turn down to make way for poorly built homes
Thank you for sharing
Your welcome Cherie
I’m really glad someone is living in that beautiful farmhouse! Thank You for the tour..... your awesome!😉
No your awesome 😁
Thats a beautiful house! Love love the built- ins.
one of the rooms downstairs looks like it use to be two and the wall was taken down.
And your looking good too,Brent😉
Yes I noticed that too going across the floor. Thank you! 😊
I thought maybe there were pocket doors that were removed. That was common back in the day.
J.fletcher
U beautiful
Mamacita
😩 I would looove a house like this!!! This is beautiful!!!!
Me too!! Id move in right now as is lol
As usual u did a beautiful job of showing this wonderful old farmhouse..love it..gorgeous..I hope this house is saved..I would love to live there..it deserved a family living there to make it a home..
I hope that this house isn't torn down. It's so beautiful. Houses today aren't built that way anymore. It would be a shame.
Your right Maria
Crazy how tiny that kitchen is compared to the rest of the house!
I was noticing that. It's not an "eat in" kitchen. Does that mean maybe that the kitchen was used, but everyone ate in a dining room adjoining it? Was it small because perhaps the original family had servants who did the cooking?
christistratton I was explaining to my daughter that I felt like a lot of kitchens were smaller back then because the lady was the main one cooking. We didn’t have friends and family over all gathered in the kitchen talking and just “hanging out” in those times. The kids were outside playing, doing homework or chores. Our family or friend’s were home at supper time doing their family gathering and evening routine. Every room in the home was used as intended!
Mimi Susie
Too bad it’s not original
That kitchen isn’t even small. Pretty standard size for most of the world, Americans just have HUGE kitchens in houses.
The back stairs usually went from the kitchen to quarters for hired help. The original main kitchen was probably in the larger room which the new kitchen adjoins. This home therefore originally had a very large kitchen which was repurposed for a dining and socializing area. The kitchen as it is now had an auxiliary use (no doubt kitchen related) when first constructed. Possibly the kitchen as it exists now was kept separate from the main house for cooking and baking during the hot summer months. This was the norm "back then" when all farmhouses had a summer kitchen.
Loving that staircase
Beautiful old farm house with an amazing floor plan but the wood work is what makes it such a shame to demolish it. So much history. Surprising that the kitchen is so small and yet the dining room was huge. Would take at least 50 thousand to bring it up to standard - complete all repairs and re-roof. Thank you for taking me along with you for this great explore.
Your welcome peewee! Glad you enjoyed it😁
beautiful house...thx for visit
It's beautiful. It would be a shame if it was torn down.
if only someone could come in and take out the hardwood doors and floors...re-purpose ya know??
I live in NC. The old unused houses and barns regularly get stripped of the solid wood doors and complete frames. They steal everything from these places. There is such a market for knotty pine wall panels, windows, doorknobs and latches. Rich people buy that stuff like crazy. Mostly Yankees from New England who made their money and moved down here with their New York attitudes. It's like the second invasion of the carpet baggers.
tylinall And windows.
Thankfully it was not. It is lived in once again.
I would love to be hiding in one of those closets when you walk through those houses and jump out and scare you🤪🤪🤪
Oh that would be mean 😂
😬😬😜🤪🤣😂
Hello Brent! Thank you so much for the great tour. I love this house and the claw foot tub.
I grew up in a house similar to this one. It was a wonderful place to live.
Such a beautiful house. It would be a shame to demolish it. Surely it is a historical structure.
Beautiful home.If I lived in Canada I would absolutely love to live here. Absolutely the best home yet hands down. Gorgeous.
Shame they are tearing it down , you don't find houses like this anymore.
Nope not at all. I live in one built in this time period...you are correct
They didn’t tear it down! It has new owners and it is lived in.
Your videography is breathtaking! Thank you for sharing your skills and these beautiful properties with us!
Oh your welcome Deb! Your very kind😁👍❤️
This farm house reminds me so much of my Noni's house in Upstate New York. It was built in the early 1900s
These homes bring back so many reminders. Homes today built so fast are so simple and dull.
What a wonderful house could be brought up to snuff easy. The walls and woodwork, stairs look great. Water damage if not let go to long.if the brick work is ok . Families were large back then it looked like a dairy farm. What a shame if no one fixes it up.
Yes hope it’s saved but unsure
I'm mesmerized by this house it is stunning. Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner in the dining room the smells of the turkey and smoked ham. Breakfast in the morning pancakes Canadian bacon Maple syrup fresh eggs scrambled the smells of coffee. Where is this house located? Love Canada.
To nice to be demolished!! Easy fix up!! Just beautiful!!!! 💕
Wow you were not kidding about the woodwork. It would be a sin to tear this house down. incredible doors ,windows, built ins, stairs.amazing. Thank you!.
Beautiful House should be preserved i was wondering what is the round metal thing ''Pease foudry co limited'' what was is purpose never see that in a house thanks and great video Brent
It’s something for the old furnace that’s all I know. I’ve been trying to google it with no luck.
I was wondering what that was as well.
Chrissy URBEX FAN please help me find out 🤪
Sorry Brent, the most info I could find is that Pease was a furnace company.
Chrissy URBEX FAN yes I think it’s some sort of a holder
Beautiful house, made me wonder about the people who lived there … I also wonder if its haunted ...
Maybe 😁👻
We used to live in a house so similar to this. All the beautiful woodwork was amazing. The small set of stairs that came down to the kitchen were called servants stairs. It was 3 stories as well, with winding staircase and pocket doors. It was built in 1910.
Lucky you were. I had some childhood friends with homes like so (north/east of Orillia) I love everything about it. Especially the doors/knobs and furnace grates, etc...
Beautiful old house....all that beautiful wood!🙂
Omgosh.... that house is gorgeous!! It should be criminal to demolish something so beautiful and still has so much to give. I love the old farmhouses. They have so much character. Beautiful explore. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Your welcome Rhonda!
Beautiful woodwork. Gorgeous old farm house! So much character and history!!
There are so many kinds of small and beautiful decorations in this house.
I’m so glad this house was saved! It is beautiful and would be so sad to have it torn down. I hope the new people are enjoying it.
We had glass door knobs in the flat we grew up in. My grandparents bought it for the family. That was the days when families grew up in the same building. The locks had the skeleton keys except the front door. It must have been four inches thick planked wood with a mail drop in it. I think it was early 1900 too. The claw foot tub was my favorite. They restored it beautifully with the two tone colors. The etched glass is up there too. Are the trees planted in double rows to keep the wind down? They were on the field side too. Maybe to keep the dust down as well. I hope they save this house. People like seeing them. Those are the ones that people drive by and wish they could own one day. Thanks for sharing.
Your welcome thanks for sharing this 😁👍🌲 hope it’s saved
All the woodwork in there is absolutely stunning. Such a shame no appreciates the craftsmanship in these homes.
So happy to hear it was saved and is loved! The reason the power was on was to keep the well pump going like you found. We have a house built in 1900 and if the electricity goes off the pump stops and the basement fill with water!
It's great to see these old homes. Really love the craftsmanship that goes into them. That faded away in the late 50's and by the 80's, they were built to sell, not to live in. Breaks my heart when people want to demolish them in what they think is progress. Thanks for posting this.
I would live there in a heartbeat. Put all new windows in and blow in the insulation. Done deal for many many years to come. Beautiful old home. The woodwork is gorgeous. I so hope this is a heritage home that will be saved from destruction.
It was probably once a very beautiful home..Very Spacious.
Love love love all those pine trees
Beautiful farm house and so clean
You find the most amazing farm houses...brings back so many memories...thank you❤
I love all the drone footage also...❤
A very beautiful older home
The floors are exquisite the detail is remarkable. Every room you go into is so cool. Neat glass doors
I saw that trap door on the floor in closet off the kitchen!! Then saw blue stairs in basement to the trapdoor! 👍👍👍
Wow it’s in great shape!! I really love the old grates and door knobs!! I have a farm house so these are my favorite explore!!
What a beautiful house. I hope they don't tear it down.. Beautiful wood work.
Thank you for sharing these videos with us. I used to live in an old home like this and we loved it. It is so sad when a home like this is demolished. Thanks again, and greetings from Kernersville, North Carolina, USA.
Such an amazing and beautiful old house. It always saddens me when they sit empty. I sure hope it doesn't get torn down. It needs a family to fill it. Thank you so much for sharing this exploration.
It has new people now!
That place is awesome! I love those hardwood floors and that staircase not to mention the doors. And that tub!
Glad you liked it 😁👍
Everything is still good. I'll love to live this house.
This house is a work of art..
So much good material to salvage. Doors, door casing, hardware, claw foot tub, newel posts, railings, windows.
Oh for sure!
A rare time for me watching abandoned houses where I ached in hope that this house will be lived in again. The wood trim and built in cupboards are lovely. Some one loved the look of creme coloured walls and wood and did not commit the sin of wallpaper. Thank you for taking your time even though the house was empty.
Your welcome! Check out my other videos if you like to see stuff left behind 😁
This is an amazingly beautiful house. I love all the wood.
What a beautiful house. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I love this farm house it’s beautiful! Thank you for sharing🥰
O my lord what a dream. The doors, the wood work are aammmaaazzzinngg.. I’d give anything to own and fix that beautiful home.
