- Owners vanished! Abandoned and forgotten farmhouse. Canada Explorer #41
This was a great abandoned farmhouse to explore. This house sits in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors around. Lots of stuff left behind at the house. There was a Singer sewing machine, Grandfather Clock, photo album and 2 beds that still had blankets and pillows on them. I tried looking up some history on this house but found out nothing so I'm not sure when or why it was abandoned. I'm assuming it has been abandoned for over 5 years. There was a boat and a large Barge in the back. I'm not sure if someone dumped them there or left by the previous owners.

About me:
I have been exploring abandoned places since I was a child and now I would like to film the explores and share the videos with you.
My father took me to my first abandoned house when I was 7 years old. I remember going into the house and a old farmer came in and told us "we better watch out as the floors are all rotten and unsafe". Ever since that day I was hooked on exploring abandoned places.
If you have a location you would like to share with me or want me to explore for you please send me an email at abandonedurbexcanada@hotmail.com and I will give you full credit for the share in the description and during the video if you choose.

By looking at the outside of the house you would never guess what beauty lays inside. Shame whatever happened to this family. We can speculate all day long but a total tragedy had to have happened. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
I love how you show so much respect with their belongings.
Thanks Maggie
I noticed that as well Maggie. I kinda smiled as he gave an extra tap to the bible and the photo album as he set them back down 👍🏼
I really like the care you give the items in these places. For example, moving the clock putting the bible back, picking up the photo album. It’s obvious you care. Thanks.
Thank you for pointing that out😁
Dont forget he hide the big big knife,,he really care,,,
I always look forward to your explores. You don't sensationalize anything or ghost hunt or anything like that for clickbait...just a walkthrough with good camera work and your commentary is relevant and not overdone.. Thx for always making these videos interesting, and for being a nice guy.
Oh wow thank you for saying this. Your very kind 😁❤️
Every house full of history and memories. People lives. Like a cemetery.
They say you can't take it with you but, sometimes "it" dies along with you.
To think, these homes used to be someones pride and joy! I love how you show feeling with people's possessions, like you're thinking how sad it is, that someone really loved those things and treasured them! Another great/colourful explore 👌 thank you!
Your very respectful of others property. The bible and photo album scene showed this, the little pat you gave them. Nice to see that.
Thank you I’m glad to hear this 😁
Where is this all taken from

@@brucefawcett4953 what do you mean?
You can tell that somebody at one time loved this house.Greetings from Nova Scotia. I love your Canadians explores.
Thank you Victoria!😁🇨🇦👍
The history of someone's life has gone far into the past and this house tells us about the existence of ordinary people who lived in their era.
A little care, a lot of paint and an interior decorator will make this a lovely home.
Another large abandoned home.. felt as thought it once had a family that enjoyed living there..the Singer sewing machine was one of the first that had an electrical connector. Lucky lady…. Great drone pics.. love hearing the birds
Thanks for sharing your video. This house is very colorful. Shame that somebody don't buy it. And restore it. It's a big house. Wish you could have. Got some history on it. Thanks for moving the clock. I love the sewing machine. Thanks for respecting the Bible. And the photo album. You and family have a wonderful evening.
Thanks Patricia! Your very kind 😁
what a beautiful old house ! So sad looked like they were happy at one time
it’s so nice and warm with the dark wood, the ceiling beams, floors, great country kitchen with the wood stove !
Family pictures are always so sad. Like, is there no one left who would want these pics? 😢
It saddens me, that places like this are being abandoned and left to rot to the point that it would be cheaper to just tear it down and rebuild. There's a housing crisis in Ontario Canada (If not all over Canada) and these abandoned houses are unusable, but someone like me, who will likely never able to afford a house, would love to make a place like that a dream home.
My thoughts exactly. Such a waste.
The west is ungrateful and wasteful which is why everything is being taken away.
If walls could talk. Good video. 👍
Your hitting the nail.
Afford it.
No mortgage company gives away free money
hi Brent,I find your video just 2 weeks ago,and since then I am watching every single one of them, and I must say you do a very good job taping the old houses, search and looking for them, keep up with the good work you do,your video is a reminder,we are here only temporary with limited time and after that comes back to ashes, thanks Brent, all the best boy.
Thank you! Glad you found my channel 😁👍
Love the rugs, too bad they are left to rot! But I would never feel right taking anything from a house. Thanks for the tour!!!
Same I feel like something would come home with me if I take something 👻
@lisa grant Bismillah literally means 'In the name of Allah'.
Thanks so much for your great care and love and respect for the past. Such a proud old farm house left to decay. Such a heartbreak.
Your welcome Mona 😁👍
So sad! What a waste of once beautiful home! These old homes have souls!
agreed, what a sad waste
and spirts
Awesome!! I agree, that Bible was in great condition! I thought that the kitchen was big too! Incredible how there's no one to take over this house and property!😔 Another great video!❤️
Thanks Peggie
Love this house! Appreciate the respect you give items left! Especially with the family bible! Thank you!
Thanks Cynthia
I'm always amazed at what is left behind. I often wonder if squatters actually bring stuff in and leave it.
Nice but somehow sad explore. I hate seeing things thrown around like that, although we have certainly seen much worse. I love the respect which you show to the properties. Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much Roberta! Yes I hate when things are vandalized
That bridge shot freaks me out every time
No need to apologize for protecting yourself! I can certainly hear you fine. Stay safe out there! Keep the content coming. I am running out of urbex videos to watch now! Thanks for sharing your adventures. ☺
Thanks Lori! I’m trying to pump out videos during this time as I have a lot of time on my hands now 🤪
Feels like there's a really sad story behind this house. All the rooms are painted bright, happy colors. Looks like they had to leave and just took what they could. I would love to know what happened.
Yes me too, I tried looking it up but nothing
aliens
It appears someone put a lot of of effort into making into feel like home, what tragic event would make a family leave the family heirlooms? Really sad.
She died or at best is in a nursing home.
The kids waiting for the land price to go up.
The house is doomed for sure; nobody even wants to rent those money gobblins.
What a great house! Oh my, that sewing machine! It was a really nice one. The decals on it were almost perfect. That machine started out as a treadle and the motor was added later to speed up the sewing process. When we get machines like that, we always remove the motors. Too bad you couldn't have taken the machine out of the table, which is super easy to do, and saved it's life. Thank you so much for making these videos for all of us to enjoy.
Yes I heard the ones with the decals still in good shape we’re not used that much. You would no more on this 😁
Wow some very interesting colors in that place.
That place was weird....it had some very old things, like the treadle sewing machine. (no motor, manipulated the foot pedal to make it run).....the paneling looked like it was cut especially for that house. I loved the kitchen.....it was well designed and large....but the island is a newer idea. The colors were definitely bold.....the rugs were probably pretty expensive at one time......the clock was very amazing too. The iron bedstead was old too. I suppose it was like most families....some things are passed down through the ages. Thanks, Brent. Your aerial views with the drone are amazing!!! sorry for the long post.
Thanks so much Susan glad you enjoyed this house. You know your stuff! No worries about the long comment I love them 😁👍
This was someone else’s dream house and i hope this did not end up in a sad story.
Thank you for showing such respect for the items in this home! I always find that so heartwarming in your videos. The clock made me sad since I am a clock collector. Thanks for another great video! I really enjoy going along with you on these adventures.
Thank you very much Carolyn
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada You're quite welcome!
VERY well done. You took the time to show everything. House was realy nice. Shame it has been ruined. Shame on leaving that Grandfather clock. Acept for the basement it looks to be in good condition even with broken windows and such. Enjoyed this.
Thank you Bonnie glad you enjoyed it
I love farmhouses. I was raised in one. I can see it from my front porch. Sometimes I sit on the porch and think about those days. BTW when you said raccoon poop I automatically held my breath.
😂 I hate raccoon 💩🦝
This house was probably really nice once. Very unique architecture. I would like to learn what happened. Very curious and very sad. Well done!
Thank you! I couldn’t find anything on this place 😳
Alberta bound !
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada Is the property bank owned?
I think this is one of your posts that I have enjoyed the most. Like how you placed the family photos and Bible together in one place. Of all the videos on UA-cam exploring abandoned properties, you are the best!!!
Oh wow thanks Deb! Your very kind to say that 😁❤️
So sad. You can tell that was a well loved and cared for home at some point. Someone took pride in its appearance.
DOESN'T THE LOCAL LAND OFFICE HAVE RECORDS OF WHO OWNED THE LAND? YOU COULD START THERE AND FIND OUT THE HISTORY OF THE OWNERS. WOULD MAKE FOR GREAT VIDEO BACKGROUND STORY.
Exactly, that’s what I’m thinking too.
I think my imagination is better than the real story. They were a retired circus family and had a half man half fish living in the basement and that is why there is so much water in the basement
I like how you think
Yeah...people don’t just vanish.
Oh wow Brent!! What an AMAZING find!! I was sold as soon as I saw the property and tin roof! I just loved the old doors and hardware.. Then the windows on top of the doors!? The original wood floors were quite the treat too!! I'm ready to move in and bring back the old charm!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Your so welcome! Glad you liked this place 😁
Love those huge old farm house kitchens. They always seem so homey.
I love that old pedal sewing machine my grandmother used to own one
when I was a child we used to use it as a racing car.
This house must have been lovely in its hay days...
Loved the bold colours!
Thank you for showing us around 👍
Best Wishes 😊
I loved watching you go through the Abandoned Farmhouse you know it's a beautiful home & it's a shame who ever Abandoned a beautiful home like that I would love to have a home like it.
Same here Diana
Love this place! It seems whoever lived here last tried to fix it up a bit. Wonder why they left. Thank you for showing us this place!
That sewing machine is old & that house is nice I also love that fathers clock, I have 1 almost like it, I wander what happened 2 the family, thank u for showing us these nice old houses.
Your welcome Loretta 😁
Great find Brent!! Loved it 👌 Stay safe & GOD bless 🙋♀️
Thanks Victoria! You as well
Yes I love the Kirkland Lake area ~ Life is fleeting. You can see these people loved their home and enjoyed the waters around this area of Ontario. May ALL their Souls RIP. Best of Health to you and ALL your Relations ~ Thanks for the peek into this life ~ Cheers from Suse & Crew Vancouver Island BC CANADA ~*~
Thanks Suse! I’m planning to head out there this summer but the airports might be closed 😞
Your handling of the Bible, very commendable. Thank you. I like your humor also.
What a great video. I love how you respect the things that are left...especially the Bible. Stay safe...things are pretty much shut down here in New Brunswick.
Thank you! Yes everything is pretty much shutdown here as well
That grandfather clock is in pretty good shape really, it could be restored. I once owned a delivery business. We shipped one from Australia to London then up to Scotland for repairs then sent it back to Australia. It was an amazing clock but to keep it unique the owner wanted it repaired correctly seemingly. Another of my many crazy memories. Loved the Horse and hounds pillow. Very different. Great video Brent. Cheers 👍
What a beautiful old home❤️
Whenever I see these kind of videos I think of homeless people , What a paradox, such a big house, empty, at least two families could live there
Always leaves you wondering what happened and why? Not much in the way of clothing but other things like beds and some furniture. Big house. Good find
Why? Could have something to do with the lake in the basement.
Thanks Jo!
@@lorraine9242 That is no cause to leave family heirlooms
Another great find! Thank you Brent!
Your welcome Barbara!
I always wonder what the story is behind these sad places but I guess we will never know. You do a fantastic job with your videos.Shame about the poor clock, it was nice of you to move it to a better place. Thank you for showing respect. Stay safe.
Thank you! I tried looking up the history here but nothing
Thanks for sharing. Neat explore but sad too. Someone's home. It sad how it was left still with some great items. The clock and sewing machine, the carpets. Thank you for respecting the Bible and family photo album. Great job on video.
Thank you Elaine!
Hey you! I enjoyed the explore as always! 😊. The window that went all the way to the floor was cool. love how respectful you are of the owners property. Thank you 😊
Hey you! Thank you, Ya I think there used to be a door where that window is.
👍😊
So much respect and Thank you enjoyed
Oh great glad you enjoyed it 😁👍
Wow. My grandmother used to have an old Singer sewing machine with a treadle. She had to pump with her foot to get the machine to work.
Love watching you check oot these hooses. Keep em coming
Thanks Eric! 😁🍺
Another great video! Thanks👍❣️
Thanks Lizzy! Thanks again for your KO-FI donation 😁❤️ I just received it. This video I filmed before you donated last time so my next video that I filmed today I gave you a shutout to say thanks 😁👍
Great video, love the aerial view. And dang, the boats ! Beautiful old machine !
Thank you!
Always find it sad to see houses just left discarded like trash
Perfect for a haunted house movie.
It's really too bad what vandals can do to an empty or abandoned home. This home is super cool. Thank you the video
Your welcome Lisa!
That makes me so sick to see those antiques sitting there to rot. That sewing machine is worth some money. Shame.
Same here I see it all the time
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada is it illegal to remove the items or do you just not want to disturb the place? Just curious.
illegal and generally seen as unethical by the Explorer community.
A common motto is take only pictures and leave only footprints so the next person can enjoy it too. There's also cases where long abandoned homes have had family or owners turn up to reclaim thing's. Sometimes if family lives far enough away, they have no means of getting out to rescue things.
There was one case with an old abandoned farm house, the family didn't even know thw house still existed never mind that it was full of stuff. They only found out when an explorer contacted them requesting details about the place. Family was horrified that people had been traipsing through taking things. Simply exploring they could have forgiven but the theft and vandalism... Nope.
So as much as it can be difficult to leave valuable items behind, you absolutely should.
Well said and 100% right. I have had family members contact me from the other side of the world. I offered to ship personal items to them. I never take anything. 😁👍
Beautiful house but it ‘seems’ sad. Great explore.
I grew up the next town over from where they make Greenleaf dollhouses. My brother actually worked for them! And I had that exact dollhouse that I built. What a great memory!
So what happened??
At least the raccoons pooped in the correct room!😂. Do you think they got that red and blue paint for a discount price? 🤔😄. Another great find. I can't believe the amount of singer sewing machines that are left behind. Thank you for sharing.
😂 the raccoons are trained here i guess. Yes I see so many Singers!
Love the intro!!!! Great job filming! Thank you for the escape!
Thanks Bobbi!
nice job and for caring about the people who lived there!
Hey thanks Tony! 😁👍
Thanks for the tour.
Thankyou for sharing your intriuging visit.
Your welcome Sarah 😁👍
That’s a really old house. I like the gothic style dormer with the window that goes all the way to the floor. I’ve seen a few houses like that in Uxbridge Ontario. Great video!
Love uxbridge very nice town 😁
What streets were the houses on? My husband tried to find the location(s) and google didn’t have much luck. We’ve only drove by to see the store Schitt’s Creek tv show shot at. And a very old cemetery in Altona. I’m just inspired to check out these places.
Those rugs are salvageable! And beautiful! Would take deep cleaning but they all look very nice !
Foreclosure of a dream
These houses break my heart - and of the very few things in that house a photo album and the shadows of the people who lived there. The house died along with it's missing loving occupants.
Great Exploration
Now that’s a farm kitchen!
Love the beard scruff in this video!
Love the old sewing machine, that’s worth some money! Yikes that water looked really gross!
That red on the walls was really bright!! That blue was very bright as well! Great video, well done Brent!
Take care and be careful!
😷🤗😊
Thank you Bobbie 😁
Such a nice place. Wonder if it will go up for sale. Someone could possibly make it into a lovely home.
Yes for sure!
I love windows down to the floor and I got to say again great video.
Thank you! I think it used to be a door but they put a window there 😁
Wow, your filming is becoming so fluid !! Great house too 🙂... Love the video Brent!
Thanks Kathleen 😁
Thanks for sharing.
Nice. Looked like a sweet little house at one time. And some of those grandfather clocks are worth serious $$$

Great job, Brent! Loved the opening music! You're getting pretty artsy-fartsy with the camera moves, too...in a good way! Haha This place gave me the heebie-jeebies, tho! Thank you & stay healthy!

I enjoyed it very much.Thank you.

Wow someone loved that house
I feel like I would've really liked the people who last lived here.
Just the way it's decorated, everything is clean (not counting the animal damage) and inviting. I wish they had family or friends who would've respectfully handled their things. I feel like they were the kind of people who really deserved it. And as usual, I leave wishing I knew more.
Hi Brent, loved the video. I like the house. That staircase was really nice. Kitchen was huge. Love it. I want that old sewing machine. Thank you for the tour and take care.
Take care as well Claire
Where are you from? I live in Greece. I would give you a treddle machine.
So sad how these houses are lost and forgotten
What an interesting video. I enjoyed seeing all the stuff.
Nice place. I love them strong bold colors like the red and deep blue on the upstairs walls. They definitely pop out at ya. That bible was mint.. excellent. I wonder how old it was. Beautiful clock too. 👍. Nice job.
Looks like they never read it. My Bible is falling apart from reading it so many times.
Thanks Shelley! Glad you liked this place. Thanks again for your bunch of coffees! My thank you is on the next video I did today. 😁
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada Bunches of coffees 🤣.. or gas.. 👍. You're welcome.
That was nice, thankyou
Hi Brent. I hope you and your family are doing well. We're fine here. At least the racoon was using the bathroom. This house looks like it would have been cold living there. Not much comforting items to give you the warm fuzzy feeling. I know it's seen better days, and I hope that who ever lived there had a good life there. Weird that some people just vanish with no trace of where they've gone to. Maybe they wanted to vanish. Who knows. Beautiful photo shots. Much love and be safe.
Hello Ronna, yes we are doing well thanks for asking. Not sure why they left at this location. Maybe because of the paint colours 😂
