Interesting to watch the repairs, done a few of those myself. Never plan anything around vehicle repairs and I would always leave about a week after doing any work to make sure its good locally before going on a trip.
Idk if he cares, if that watch is real its a rolex GMT master (root beer) which goes from £17k-£20k, and i have no reason to believe it would be fake! so his watch is worth significantly more than the car 😂
@@RennyChuggs I have a watch more than his car too, but wouldn’t mean I’d like to be in and out of Richmond Garages taking things out and putting things in and being billed 4 digits. I guess it makes for content .
Nice to see some RR content again! Since you sold the zed its the only car we share. Will be nice to see you taking it on a longer journey, i will be doing that for the first time this week leaving for spain from the Netherlands. Getting some nice 20 inch wheels from a scrapyard and investing in pirelli scorpion verde rubber (current rr tyre) will transform the looks and ride, that might be a nice upgrade.
You should do wheel alignment after messing with suspension stuff. I had the same problem with steering angle sensor on my Z4 after putting new lower control arms and wheel alignment fixed that. It's just a good practice to do that occasionally. Like the Range. :)
I'm telling you now you properly made a lot of people annoyed being there saying this and this and this will be done today. and from the state of that garage I'm surprised any one can find anything.
Hey Joel, instead of saying that 80% of your viewers aren't subscribed, you should say that 20% of viewers already are and that numbers are increasing consistently. Apparently that's called social proof and the idea is that you don't want people that haven't subscribed yet to feel it's okay to do so as so many others haven't. And the increasing bit is important as apparently also people have a tendency of believing in things being trends. Anyway just a thought. Love the content anyway.
Currently on my third Range Rover l322 over two decades. Truly magnificent vehicle and although my cars have been 5-10 years old when purchased I have had a generally very positive experience (and that even in Switzerland where garage labour rates perhaps twice that of the UK). And if driven mostly with a light foot the Super Charged has not been TOO thirsty. Shame LR muted the exhaust so much.
It is amazing the night and day difference between a Texas Range Rover undercarriage and a U.K. Range Rover undercarriage. Is rust eventually the final nail in the coffin for vehicles where you are from?
I purchased a Range Rover TD6 at a similar time you bought yours, it’s good to have someone else to relate to with the high and lows of Range Rover ownership.
Good Luck with the rest of the journey with the Range, Joel! Great content as always - hope you get some good views/money off of your future bills... think you might need it fella! :)
Hi Joel. Another good video. I'm a qualified mechanic and also my best mate is a land rover independent tech. We have talked about the M62 engines and their weaknesses many a time and i wanted to ask you if you have looked at the state of the timing chain guides. I would hate for you to spend the money fixing the issues to find that the guides are wearing really low and just a ticking time bomb. I'm posting a link to a video on a BMW channel I follow. The X5 uses the same M62 engine. ua-cam.com/video/MMENfbp5HNA/v-deo.html&ab_channel=NathansBMWWorkshop If nothing is done about them by 150,000 miles, then it's only a matter of time before a whole load oif expensive repairs can happen. Hope that the info is useful to you and interested to hear what Richmond LR have to say about yours.
My 2007 tdv8 vogue has been in my local garage since I bought it 3 months ago , replacement gearbox needed , also major coolant leak to find and air shock & tyres x4 & then a full service 😮
Goodness me Joel, for such a prestigle vehicle it seems to be a really poor quality vehicle. Having seen your video I woulnt touch one with a barge pole.
It's true, although that's £3k at consumer price, which I haven't paid & also I create revenue from the videos with the Range Rover. Would have probably been boring if I had bought a mint one!
Yes absolutely, I’m a unique case in that sense. Though having said that, I think even if I paid 5,6 grand for one, reckon I still would have had to do lots of this work anyway
Helping the algorithm lol joking aside, love the videos. And I know it's not supposed to be hoovies garage UK version but that concept I find dangerously and temptingly interesting haha
@@itsjoel you'll get plenty more of that fixed feeling as your RR journey continues. Those dash lights will be back, and you'll be craving your next fix! I speak as a recovering LR owner; LR free for 6 years, 2 months and 5 days now. Abstinence is the only cure!
Nice one, if you have the BMW engine, just wait till your Vasson goes. Nice little repair is that. I first started with the P38 now have a 2002 lovely to drive, but the repairs have killed my bank account
Most land rovers only make sense if you can repair them yourself. I had a discovery 2 that I spent a lot of time and a relatively small amount of money that I drove for 2 years and got my money back.
My friend's family had one of these. They used to drive it from very close to Richmond here to Sweden, France, Switzerland, and some years they did up to 20,000 miles in it. It died at around 200,000 miles I believe, which is a lot for one of these I think.
Thanks for the l322 videos. I really enjoy and appreciate them. I’m kind of surprised about your low fuel economy. I thought that was one of the benefits of the diesel. I get about the same mileage as you and I have the 5.0 gas motor in my 2011 RR. Also, more information on your dog please. Have you picked a name yet?
Really loving these videos, I'm a massive range rover fan but I've never owned one , a have friends that day and on the odd occasions I get to drive them they are fantastic. Fingers crossed our 1st trip will be to Scotland. Have a great trip in the range rover Joel 😀
Never say it’s working perfectly, it’s a Landrover 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And I may have spoken too soon too…
Egggzactly. I put a newer engine in mine - TUH! Sounds like train track

You’ve never owned one either 😹
They should be renamed Land Yachts, they take just as much to maintain.

absolutely , a road trip isnt a good test drive lol
Loving the music at 05.41.
what a way to throw money away. I don't envy you with this Range Rover.

I love the way you are channelling the mighty Sreten of M539 Restorations at 5:32 🤣🤣🤣
Even Sreten wouldn't tackle a Range Rover.
@@unixnerd23 given this has a bmw engine he might?
There is a separate radiator (condenser) for the AC mate... The radiator that holds coolant is only responsible for the coolant

Thanks for the updates on the range rover. I'd love one but it would be a daily so the reliability and maintenance are putting me off

Landrover specialists but they dont stock any common parts like belts or suspension arms/joints... not really the best advert for them.
