Thank you so much, Karina. I appreciate advanced techniques and don’t care how long your videos are. You are an asset to my sewing life. Have a Happy Mother’s Day.
Don't listen to you tube! As with others, this is why I seek you out! After years of being away from sewing I am having to relearn so many techniques! Thank you Karina!
Please do not let complaints change your incredible videos. You made this look so easy. Brilliant explanation, details and visuals for an intimidating technique. I thank you so much for your hard work and mentoring of how to sew. There is so much love and gratitude for you and your channel. ❤💙💚💛💜💟
not sure if anyone cares but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of days =)
Sweet Karina. I want to thank you for caring about others and how we can improve our abilities. You are a positive influence for me. You’ve motivated me to enjoy the process and take my time. You are a blessing and a great resource of tips. Girl, keep on keepin’ on!💙
Your technical instructional videos are my sewing reference book. I watch your videos like this over and over to cement it in my brain. I know that I can trust you to show me the BEST way to do something. Keep up the great work! 👍👍❤️
One of the reasons I watch your videos is because of your amazing instructions , ideas . I don’t think your videos are too long at all, I watch them over and over again. Keep doing what you are doing
I love that you do these videos. Sometimes I won’t watch because I don’t need the technique right now, but I will definitely watch when I need the skill later.
Thank you for not being a slave to the algorithm! We will need these tutorials and it's so appreciated that you are here for us! Thank you. I'm making some straight leg trousers and they are very plain but this will be awesome to try. After lots of practice of course.. 😊
I, for one, look forward anxiously to each of your technics video! I find your explanations of how to do things, and I appreciate you so very much, my friend.
Thank you for your technique videos. I watch most after you post, and I have often re-viewed when I am ready to try the techniques on my own garment. I hope you will continue to produce these!
I so agree with Betty & the others. It’s the advanced techniques that often trip us up, for which we need help, and that you produce these brilliant instructional videos for. It’s like having you in the room with me! Who are these YT techies to decide what we do and don’t need based on numbers?
Thank you so much. The algorithm on YT is very powerful and I’ve been on the platform for years now and know exactly that videos like this will perform poorly. I make them anyway but know I couldn’t have a channel with only videos like this because my channel is my livelihood 😊
Thank you so much. Because my channel is my livelihood I know I couldn’t just post technique videos, but one like this in the midst of the others will compensate for the poor performance of this one. It’s so much work to make a video like this.
I love watching your tutorials. Your really good at showing every little detail for a perfect make. Much easier for me to follow someone in a video than written down on paper. Don’t stop showing us how Katrina, we love your how to tutorials 💖
😂 I love what you say about ruining fabric… I was always to scared to try anything, my husband says the same thing.. they have more fabric at the store…. You are both great! 🥰
Thank you for continuing to make these tutorials. I like these pants but didn't get them because of the welt pockets...now I think I will get them. Awesome job!!
I like your advanced techniques best! I’ve 60 years of experience and still watch your videos. I learn some sort of new idea or technique each time . . . even though I’ve done it before. And as an American EXPat living in The Netherlands, I feel some comradely with you! I also appreciate instructions in English. You’re especially a gift in this time of Corona and lockdown. Thanks!
Yes I will Continue to make them but I couldn’t do them very frequently without hurting my channel and my income. The algorithm is super complex unfortunately.
How can anyone complain about the length of your videos.. your teaching is outstanding and the ones that appreciate you would watch a 3hr video if you made one..
Karina, I love your tutorials. Even if I am not ready to try the techniques I watch and save the videos so that when I am ready I have it available. I feel like you are an excellent teacher who makes the explanations very understandable.
Don't EVER be afraid of taking your time demonstrating to us how to do something right. I love how you showed us to do the invisible stitching. Turtle slow wins the race on something this intricate.
Thank you for continuing to produce amazing technique videos for those who wish to geek out on your content! Back welt pockets on trousers are such an intimidating feature but you made it so easy to understand. I will also use your basting technique to mark hard-to-see markings on my fabric for better results instead of my usual guesswork. I look forward to watching your additional video about your beautiful purple trousers.
I did a welt pocket about 40 years ago. While it turned out well, I swore I’d never do one again! Your step by step instructions have given me the confidence to not be fearful and try it again when I improve at pants fitting🙂
Please keep making videos with advanced techniques. I love that you take the time to be precise and don't shortcut any technique. These are the techniques that make your garments stand out. I think perfection still has a place in sewing. I was taught to rip and redo until it was perfect - old school.
Well u tube does not understand our sewing needs does it !! For many of us who like to sew and who want to improve our skills and enjoy trying something new this is a SUPER video ! Also , the recently launched Itch to stitch trousers require this and I was fearing these pockets , so a huge big THANK YOU 🙏 .
Brilliant video Karina! I've seen a few welt tutorials and it has always looked like witchcraft to me. This is the first time that I have finished watching a welt tutorial and felt confident that I could reproduce the technique. Thank you so much for producing technique content, regardless of what the algorithm 'thinks' of it. Can't wait to see the finished trousers!
I love your detailed tutorials. You are able to simplify these more advanced skills and methods and encourage me to try them. Whipping up a quick t shirt is fine but delving into more complex garments is more challenging and rewarding.
I love your teaching style of video! I, personally watch to learn tips, tricks and techniques, not what you have sewn or fashion parades of things that have been made. Having said that, I love your mix of content. Regards Christine 🙋♀️🇦🇺👍🏻😊😃😄🤩
I try to have videos focused on sewing and the look book be about 2 minutes long only. I like fashion but I won’t talk about it or about styling... 💤lol. Fashion is so personal and it’s Not a topic I’ll discuss in detail.
I love all your videos, Karina! Thank you so much. I was intimidated by welt pockets, but now I feel like I could do it! I've started saving your videos to replace my evening TV time. This works great because I still want to be sewing, but I've learned I have to stop before I get too tired or I end making a lot more mistakes. This way, I can still be thinking about sewing and learning. I really appreciate you and all you've taught me. ❤️
I always watch the technique videos when they first come out so I will know when I need it later what is included. In fact, I just watched this one twice - once last night and again this morning. I remember doing a double welt pocket years ago that took me quite a while to finish and hadn’t done one since. Now with this video I am ready to try again. Thank you for sharing you time, knowledge and enthusiasm for the more intricate elements of sewing.
I’m so glad that you still do these types of videos, that you cater for a wide range of sewing levels. I was a beginner when I first found your channel right when you were new to UA-cam, but after developing such a love of sewing and doing it at every opportunity 😂 and with help from people like you, I am now able to sew pretty much whatever I want. So these days I’m working on improving the fit of my garments beyond what I’ve been able to do so far, plus trying new challenges like bra making and bag making. Love love love your videos, thanks for all the time and effort you put into them.
Karina, Thank you for your time to show us your techniques, I cant always watch when you post it, but I go looking for you anything new. Please continue with your videos, you have encouraged me to start sewing again. I also buy Love Notions through your link. Thanks again 💞
I am amazed to learn that viewing numbers drop when you post technique tutorials as these are the main reason I watch UA-cam sewing vlogs. I call it My Sewing School. Thank you for everything you do to encourage our sewing.
It seems that most view for light entertainment than for techniques? That’s the trend I see on my channel and others. Actually some videos that just show a fashion show of sorts get thousands of views.... way more than the videos on my channel. But, I have teaching goals and that is what fulfils me.
Don’t underestimate yourself. When I learned to sew in the 60s, my mother didn’t tell me some of this stuff was difficult or fiddley. Consequently, I first made a gathered skirt with button and buttonhole and my second garment at age 11 was a dress with a zipper. Just follow Kristina’s video. Go slowly. You can do it.
I love your videos because of the techniques you show. You explain things so clearly and show enough detail to to make them easy to follow. I used your video on creating the itch to stitch Chemainus top placket and it was super helpful
I've seen these welt types on some of my patterns and have stayed away. LOVE the "turtle slow" motion. You make this look so easy. I really appreciate your video tutorials. I will definitely be practicing this. I wasn't sure about the striped fabric for the pockets and had me wondering but I kept watching. That was Amazing how it turned out!!! Thank you Thank you!
I love that you do these technique videos! You have such knowledge and are so good at explaining things clearly. I haven't sewn a welt pocket of any kind yet but I do have a couple of patterns which use them so this tutorial will definitely come in use.
Absolutely excellent easy-to-follow and all the reasons for each step. Thankyou beautiful girl. Love your excellent tutorials and sweet personable communication. Blessings, Eunice, Australia 🌏
Complaints? Critics about the views. Ooh my dear Christina. Don't let it beat you down. I hear about your helpfull en positive video's al over the place. Even here in the Netherlands. I love to watch them and I learned so much.
Thank you Karina! Now this is a technique I KNOW HOW to do. 😁 I do them all the time making bags. But...I haven't seen it done like this with a dart and the loop. See, you can ALWAYS learn a new technique! PLEASE NEVER stop making the technique vlogs u think they are timeless and may not get as many views in the beginning but over time....will surpass the other vlogs!💜👍🏾👍🏾
You did a fantastic job on the pocket welts. I love the advanced techniques, and you were the first sewist who made me realize it was okay to go slow. Yay for turtle speed!!
Thank you Karina. I am confined to bed following foot surgery but your fantastic videos are really keeping me going. Can learn a huge amount from your wonderful skills.
Exactly. You are building a library of information that is timeless, and in the end will be much more valuable than new patterns for spring 2021. Kinda like comparing meat videos to dessert videos. One is for the emotions, the other sustains the heart and body. Thank you for what you are doing for sewing. By the way, what does your closet look like?
I've learned so so much from you and really appreciate your knowledge and skill. Thank you!. I find I do a lot more hand basting now and see that the results are well worth it. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks so much for that great video. You take such good time with your sewing and it is so, so neat. I really enjoy your techniques. It truly makes sewing a pleasure. Continue your wonderful craft.
Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. Welt pockets are a big fear of mine so this is immensely useful. Please keep posting these advanced tutorials, like others, they are a real strength of your channel, and I for one greatly appreciate them, and come back to them when I need to for a project. Thanks again for the wonderful sharing of your expertise :)

These technique videos are an important reason I follow you and watch your videos.
Don’t stop posting these advanced methods ! These are what makes you my favourite you tuber!
Mine too
Absolutely!
+1!
not sure if anyone cares but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last couple of days =)
@Ben Raphael yup, I have been watching on Instaflixxer for months myself :D
Sweet Karina. I want to thank you for caring about others and how we can improve our abilities. You are a positive influence for me. You’ve motivated me to enjoy the process and take my time. You are a blessing and a great resource of tips. Girl, keep on keepin’ on!💙
I love videos that have instructional content. Please don’t stop making them!!😅
It's your technique videos that make you special! I feel like I have a personal instructor who holds my hand so I can get it right!
Your technical instructional videos are my sewing reference book. I watch your videos like this over and over to cement it in my brain. I know that I can trust you to show me the BEST way to do something. Keep up the great work! 👍👍❤️

I agree, Ann.
Thank you Karina. You are special and a wonderful, kind, sharing teacher. I appreciate you!
Thank you so much for the encouragement ☺️
I love your tutorials.... especially for intermediate and advanced techniques! Well done!
I love that you do these videos. Sometimes I won’t watch because I don’t need the technique right now, but I will definitely watch when I need the skill later.
That’s perfect. I know these are very specific and that less viewers are interested, but it’ll be here on the channel for when the time is right.
Thanks Karina, your views may be low but my appreciation is huge. I love your simple explanations and expertise. Thanks again.
Thank you, thank you, a thousand thanks! If no one else needs this, I do!

I wear pants almost exclusivily so I REALLY appreciate a tutorial like this from you. You have a really clear way of teaching.
I LOVE WELT POCKETS AND BUTTON HOLES, SO MUCH NICER LIOOKING. TAKES YOUR GARMENT TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL.THANK YOU
I love these videos. Please don't stop making them. You teach the best.

I am so happy that you post videos like this. They help me a lot. Thank you for making this.

For sure. It’s so satisfying to challenge ourselves and grow. I sew knits for a little break sometimes but the wovens are what get me singing :)
Thank you for showing this technique Karina. I finally understand how to do this now. X

Brilliant! I have never attempted a welt pocket but you have made me feel that I can actually do it now. Thank you.
That makes me so happy! Once you do it, the fear will be smaller :)
I'm one of those that searched for a tutorial for this very pocket and pattern. Thank you so much for a PERFECT tutorial! 🥰
Karina, Thank you for your time to show us your techniques, I cant always watch when you post it, but I go looking for you anything new. Please continue with your videos, you have encouraged me to start sewing again. I also buy Love Notions through your link. Thanks again 💞

These pockets are so beautiful, they deserve visibility! Maybe worth a tuck in! Your precision is impressive! Thank you.
Every video you do is helpful. Thank you !
These are not favourite videos. Great tutorial. Thanks
Was always intimidated by welt pockets. This video has helped me overcome that fear. Thank you so much!
I’m not ready to sew these yet. But, it’s always good to know that I can come to your channel as a good resource.
Don’t underestimate yourself. When I learned to sew in the 60s, my mother didn’t tell me some of this stuff was difficult or fiddley. I always come to your channel first when I need to know how to do something. I love that you go slow enough to follow along! Thank you.
I also love your technique videos!!! ❤️❤️❤️ And just bought this pants pattern last week... so the content is just up my alley 😊👍
That was a brilliant video ~thank you! And yes; a beautiful finish.
Thank you so much 😀
I love that you do these technique videos! You have such knowledge and are so good at explaining things clearly. I haven't sewn a welt pocket of any kind yet but I do have a couple of patterns which use them so this tutorial will definitely come in use.
Always refer back to your tutorials for help.
Thank you so much 😍
Thank you Karina for such a detailed tutorial. Love the striped pocket bag material❤
I watch allllllllll you videos. You took me through the Metra Blazer😘😘. Been sewing for ages, but still learning from you.
Superb demonstration! Perfectly executed.... thank you 🙏🏻
I just love this kind of tutorials. Do not ever stop! 😊💕
I won’t but they are present every now and then because they do so poorly with the views.
Absolutely excellent easy-to-follow and all the reasons for each step. Thankyou beautiful girl. Love your excellent tutorials and sweet personable communication. Blessings, Eunice, Australia 🌏

Very nice. Great looking. This will be my reference when I do adorn my own xxtt. LoL ~ L
Excellent tutorial thank you. You make it look so easy. You are a very good teacher.
Thank you so much 😃
You did a fantastic job on the pocket welts. I love the advanced techniques, and you were the first sewist who made me realize it was okay to go slow. Yay for turtle speed!!
I Love your videos they’re informative and I learn at lot.
Wow, you are so knowledgeable. That looks intimidating, I’ve never done one before but if I have to I will come back and rewatch your video. Thanks.!
Thank you Karina. I am confined to bed following foot surgery but your fantastic videos are really keeping me going. Can learn a huge amount from your wonderful skills.
I really appreciate these types of videos!!
Thank you so much :)
Beautiful intricate work! Well done!
Thankies :)
Thanks again I love these tutorials
I’m so
Glad you do!
I like your long and short video's thanku for your knowledge
I've learned so so much from you and really appreciate your knowledge and skill. Thank you!. I find I do a lot more hand basting now and see that the results are well worth it. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you so much, an excellent tutorial!
Thanks so much for that great video. You take such good time with your sewing and it is so, so neat. I really enjoy your techniques. It truly makes sewing a pleasure. Continue your wonderful craft.
Thank you :)
Thank you. I’m just about to make my new Itch to Stitch trousers so will be referring to your wonderful instructions for the welt pockets.
Thank you! I hope one day to make a tailored jacket. This will help!
Blazers are the best! There’s nothing like them 😄
Excellent video!!
Thank you so much 😌
These are great videos as it helps me! When I sew to help me I find whatever on your channel then I go step by step...so I am VERY appreciative!
Great video. I would watch your videos no matter how long there are. Your content is always fabulous.
Thanks for showing and sharing your knowledge, my fav. videos ! So well expl. and encouraging.
You’re very welcome :)
I meant these are my favourite videos
I understood :) thank you so much ☺️
Thank you for the excellent detail instruction! It was so helpful!! Beautiful work!!
So glad I found this! Sometimes the instructions aren’t as clear as is I’d hope. It’s nice to see a visual. 😊
thank you, as you said, waited until today to watch this as need the technique now!
Karina thank you I appreciate you taking the time to teach us xx
