THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! ... I have ben struggling so hard with this pocket as an assignment we got in school, and I couldn't seem ti figure it out with the instructions. But with this tutorial I understand everything . Thank youuuu!
Thank you so much! I was always taught method #1 (still my favorite), however I have seen instructions for method #2 and could not figure out what they were talking about. Now I understand. Thanks again for your amazing tutorials 😊
The Second one is much less complicated. The first is too much unnecessary intricacies for a beginner. I'm trying the second one. Thank you soo much💐🤔!!
Oh my the first one is beautiful but I think that's because of fabric choices. I can't say one looks better sewn than the other. Both look very professionally sewn. Thank you for demonstrating both techniques. I would feel very talented if I managed to do this. This technique could make a garment look like it was sewn by a "Professional seamstress."
great video! loved how you showed us the two examples side by side: same result, different method! Would you talk about what types of interfaces you use and the perfect pairing with the fabrics? Thanks in advance!
Both pockets turned out equally nice ~ But I’d love if you’d make a video showing how to make welt pocket ( single or double) that gives a tailored complete finish inside the pant ~ where the lining comes up all the way to the waist.
I'm finishing as we speak a course on making pants. And I made the pockets as you described. Stay tuned for more details about this course. I'm so proud of it. I know you'll love it 🤗
Gracias! Tengo una pregunta: ¿las medidas estándar? ¿Cuáles son? Estudié alta Costura en un colegio técnico y la profesora no recuerdo que nos haya dado medidas estabilizadas Para niño? Adulto?

Si, me imagino. Abrazos 🥰
I am SO THANKFUL when you show us both the traditional and the easier versions of different projects!
🥰🥰🥰 I'm glad you like to see more than one perspective!

Thanks so much 🥰 Yes, very often is quite important to choose the right interfacing. We need to tackle this theme.

5-18-24 When topstitching outside the pocket, how far away do sew to from the pocket? How do you sew straight
without a guide plate?
Can it be done by hand?
JUST PERFET
Thank you Martha!!!
What is the dimensions of the pocket
The second method is essentially a large bound buttonhole with an added pocket bag, correct?
That's right! 😊
Can I make welt button-holes using this easy method?
Yes. Indeed, just reduce the size and you are good to go! 😉
@@DowntownTailoring You are a genius! Thank you for answering my question ❤️
@@Ziegut My pleasure 🥰🥰🥰
How do you add pocket to suit
It's pretty much the same process, but you need to have very clear where you need to place them. Cheers 😊
Gracias!
Tengo una pregunta: ¿las medidas estándar? ¿Cuáles son?
Estudié alta Costura en un colegio técnico y la profesora no recuerdo que nos haya dado medidas estabilizadas
Para niño? Adulto?
good video
Thanks 🥰
I want to make some pockets now😂
Hahahaha you should!!!
No video on this tutorial.
Can you check your camera?
Many thanks,
Thanks! You can try again. Now is good. Cheers 😊
❤❤❤❤
The traditional one and "the super duper easy OMG why you didin't show me this one first" one... 😆
😁😁😁
:)
Sorry. I like the not so super-duper simple system.
It’s because it’s more correct! Cheers
Gracias!
