Loving a bit of Micra action. They have a habit of eating brake pipes and tend to rot at sills and front cross member but mechanically are sound. Intrigued to see what it becomes
I have no doubt the wee micra wont pass the MOT. Well done guys for doing the repairs outside in the cold, not everyone has the luxury of a garage to work in.
badge of honor the weld ,had a few k11s they use to say if they had a sunroof caused a lot of problems on sill and corrosion something to do with the drainage ,great engine bullet proof although face lift not has good has earlier k11 Renault started getting involved with nissan
I do wish it was a pre face lift but it will still be cool when we are finished with, the good thing about this car is everything is solid except the 2 rear cills, a good coat of sealer and itll be good for years to come. Thanks for watching.
I remember some old people saying "we don't have winters like we use too" we'll they're back again - 5 freezing fog here in Cheshire last night and it's going to be colder tonight. Great video again Scottie, fingers 🤞for the mot pass.
The K11 is a fantastic car, had a 1.216v in red early 2006 while i was at college, before that i had a K10 Match edition, the rust got to that one though.
Gordon Bennett - Tis NOT the season to be working on the driveway !!! Almost up to 6k subs - well done - onwards and upwards - woah - just behind Charlie there - Micra's galore on the driveway !!
Tried to buy a T-shirt but the site just says " hang tight, almost there " but doesn't go onto payment page..fingers crossed you get it sorted...here was me buying a T-shirt and it's freezing outside and a couple of feet of snow!!
Plenty of K11 sill repair panels on ebay but not cheap. Ideally keep aerosols vertical so not accidentally spraying pure propellant and point downwards so no overspray above the masking tape.
Ive had a look, most of them seem to come from Poland also and im not sure what shippimg that far would be like for damage/cost. When i oick the car back up we are rubbing it down for paint.
Awesome video as always guys. Always looking forward to a Sunday night for the new video, constantly checking my notifications to see when it's uploaded 😂😂 keep up the good work and it's amazing to see how much the channel is growing
Thanks Steven, every Sunday at 8pm unless UA-cam is on a go slow 😂 and the odd Wednesday at 8 but there will be more midweek videos in the new year. Thanks for watching.
@@HomeBuilt brilliant guys, always look forward to them, you need to get Charlie out of school and on the spanners/camera full time. Im a mechanic at a Subaru/Isuzu garage out in eaglesham so if yous ever need any advise or parts please don't hesitate to reach out.
@@flippingcarsrepairs nice,we don't see to many of them anymore, mostly just outbacks, xvs and the new fully electric Subaru. Same to yourself,if you need any help with anything I'd be more than happy to help yous out if I can

Ordered! Love the videos and hope Micra passed! What happened in 2014 had 28k then following year 144k. 110k in a Micra in one year would take some doing
Brilliant, thank you. Not sure about the mileage, me and chops think its had a cluster replacement at some point. Im 100% convinced the actual mileage is below 60k
I have two like that and at this age they have aaround a 55% pass rate which is good at that age and compared to the competition. Should be ok on the mot
Very reliable motors in the day, but they did suffer from rot unfortunately. Fingers crossed for you on the mot. Great video content as usual especially leaving us hanging in the balance awaiting an answer lol.
Just ordered my t-shirt. I thought that they would be extortionate but they wern’t hence the purchase. I ordered a 2xl but the receipt says regular. How do i correct this please? I’m looking forward to seeing more videos of the micra especially as i came over from chops garage.
Thank Paul that’s awesome, I have seen your email and I will make sure you get the correct size. I can’t wait to get some more done on the Micra, it will be awesome when it’s finished.
Brilliant video as always, I’m a driveway way mechanic no motivation though in this weather so hats off to you both ,are you using gassless mig to weld the sills
@@HomeBuilt I would wax oil it as opposed to under seal that cracks and will let salt water in. My mazda only had 33k on it, was only 9 years old looked like it had been down a salt mine only saving grace it did teach me to weld, lesson learned don't but a Scottish or a North East of England car.
I built a few of these at home back in the day..fitted side skirts from a Suzuki beino..the under pinnings are very similar to mk1 fiesta if you look at the drive train and suspension set up from underneath i often wondered if the japs stole the design .. front crossmembers used to fall out these with rot finger crossed this one ok for you or you got more miging to do..good video lads full of the cold myself not done anything outside for a week now….🏴👍🥶🔩🛢 13:01
You can't beat a nice bit of " ARC EYE THE NOO" !
😂 my mask was playing up, I need to have a look at it when I get a chance.
This should become a UA-cam pass around car. Could soon make it the best K11 Micra on British roads.
I think its almost as famous as BORIS, people are always asking about it.

Won’t be too long before you find out.
Looking forward to the micro mod. 👍👍👍👍👍
We are too, been planning it for ages.
One best Nissan ever produced
Yep, that and the R33 skyline

If you use ozyceteline you could keep warm as well !
😂 nice little fire going.
Nice one boys that looks cold as I watch it from Perth in Australia where it's currently a very mild 25c
I wish we lived in Australia, thought about the move years ago but couldnt convince my wife.
Ha, the downside is it isn't great working outside here in the summer when it's 40+ C and you can fry an egg on the bonnet
You definitely need an air conditioned garage over there 😂 at least in the cold you can layer up
Yea rub it in while we are minus 4 🤣🤣🤣
Great channel just subscribed:
Awesome, thanks Dave.
once again great video
Thanks Dude
thankyou gentlemen a great video as usual...👌👌
still no luck with the boys doing your lean to/car port stevie ???
Thanks Stevo.

No car ports for me im afraid.

Nah, they don’t sponsor us yet😂
