EASY High Protein Dessert | Yogurt Panna Cotta with Rum Caramel

    You could also serve this Yogurt Panna Cotta with fruit sauce. It’s also great for breakfast with fruit & granola!
    Ingredients:
    • 2 cups of non-fat plain Greek yogurt
    • 1 cup of milk (dairy milk or any type you prefer, such as coconut or almond)
    • 1/4 cup cane sugar or sweetener such as monk fruit also honey or maple syrup works really well
    • 1 vanilla pod with seeds removed or 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
    • 1 envelop of gelatin (0.25 ounces) or 2 tbsp of Agar Agar Powder
    • ¼ Caramel Sauce of choice OR 1-2 tbsp per serving)
    • Splash of Rum
    • Flaky Sea salt
    Instructions:
    1. In a medium-sized saucepan, pour the milk and add the sugar, sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the top add vanilla seeds & bean.
    2. Heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin completely dissolves. Be careful not to let the mixture come to a boil.
    3. Once the gelatin has dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
    4. In a separate bowl or measuring cup, combine the Greek yogurt then pour the hot milk mixture. Mix well until the ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
    5. Once the mixture is well combined, divide it among individual serving dishes or ramekins. This makes 4 servings
    6. Place the dishes in the refrigerator and let them chill for at least 4 hours or until the panna cotta is set.
    7. Once set, remove the panna cotta from the refrigerator.
    8. In a small sauce pan, add the caramel & splash of rum. Heat until it simmers.
    9. Pour Caramel over your Yogurt Panna Cotta, sprinkle with flaky sea salt & enjoy.
    10. Serve and enjoy this versatile high protein yogurt panna cotta as a delightful dessert or even as a healthy breakfast option with fruit & granola.
    This high protein yogurt panna cotta is incredibly versatile. You can experiment with different flavors by adding a hint of lemon zest, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, or a dollop of fruit compote on top. It's a great option for those following a high-protein or low-carb diet.
