- It's 2023 and I was hit with a huge dilemma. Do I get a PS5? Or do I upgrade to a Switch OLED...? Turns out, Nintendo had the answer for me when they unveiled the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Special Edition Switch OLED.
Man, that's a mouthful. But anyways... I HAVE TO GET IT.
I'm glad I upgraded. This is nothing short of amazing.

Even with the switch successor being officially announced i bought this anyways ive been wanting a oled switch for awhile and the design is just so good.Totk is my favorite game.Cant wait for my new switch to arrive although im not excited about me needing to transfer all my stuff thats gonna take awhile 😅
I've been debating whether to upgrade to the OLED, as I can potentially get one for a very good price. Hesrjng your thoughts and how much better the screen is might've just convinced me
I only buy physical games for single or couch co-op games. Online multiplayer have to be digital this way i share it with my son
I upgraded from the v2 red/blue switch and I bought this and paired it with the skull & co neo grip zelda edition.
Now I have a perfect handheld and docked zelda fix 💉
I don’t think it’s selling very well or they made lots of units. It’s still available on Amazon uk and Nintendo store uk
Though im a zelda (botw era) fan and was the reason why i bought switch in the first place, buying this oled version isnt enough to warrant an upgrade from v2. Probably when they make a new switch with better overall specs and performance, maybe. For now, im contented with mine. 65% dock and 35% handheld user.
I just bought one the other day on Amazon. Just hoping it shows up intact and not stolen......I had to order 2 copies of Let's go Pikachu because when it showed up at my door. The game case was strangely warped and the game was stolen from the case......Didn't even bother with a refund and took it on the chin. However, I will unleash hell on earth if I don't get this Switch in perfect condition. It might be armageddon
are you having a problem of joy cons randomly disconnecting? does your console detect joy cons in handheld mode in "Change grip/order" setting?
Not for mine
Never had that experience even with my Switch Gen 1, even till today. Check if there’s any debris or dirt inside the connector slot or on the connector pins itself, on both the Joy Cons and the Switch itself.

Put the TV output to lower (480), play docked. The framerate is much better. Handheld, even the Menu opening takes more time, no matter if its og or oled.

I hope you got your PS5 and waited long enough to get the slim version. It's way better than OG PS5. and stays way cooler. And you will never hear the fan or jet engine noises that the PS4 makes.
How? Theyre regular joycons with a diff a design and the system doesnt even come with the game. My mind was blown when i picked up the box and it said does not include the game.
That's why you gotta research first before you buy something.
