It's amazing 6-7 years into this systems lifetime, people are still loving it and talking about it almost as if it was still brand new! No I have pal ds and I borrowed NTSC cartridge and it didn't work and for SNES european version don't have and as I know other ones too but I am sure only about european
The N64 isn't technically region locked either since all you have to do is swap out the cartridge tray in the console one that doesn’t have tabs in it, there's no region locking chip in the cartridges or console with the only thing being different are the tabs on the cartridge case and in the cartridge tray
Neither are the NES or SNES. It's just that the cartridges are shaped differently to fit each regional system. There are certain adapters to un-region-lock the consoles

The only permanent fix for drift is to replace them with hal effect sticks. As for the 2019 revision of the switch, it didn't just provide longer battery life, that longer battery life came from a die shrink on the processor which led to improved cooling, as well as a boost in overall processing power.
