Hey man, this is the best sounding e-drum-video on UA-cam! I know SD2.0 but never saw a video with such a great balance between the e-drums and play-along track. Really great and not-over-the-top playing! Great job!!
NICE KIT *T* ....I liked your song choice, LOVE Boston....... The NAP? LMAO (cute addition) Great playing too!!. I would like to see more...........Kim =)
Thats an awesome video man. Pretty cool that you can get the bell sound on the ride, is that due to Superior Drummer or the Roland kit because I can never get that with my Yamaha DTXpress kit and EZdrummer, lol Upgrading to Superior next week though =D
Since the release of guitar hero and rock band video games, there have been many of the bands music used for the games original isolated tracks floating around the internet.
u can get the bell sound with ezdrummer too...just need to assign that zone of ur ride to trigger the bell sound if you have a dual zone or tri-zone cymbal
My drummer hates e-drums...but I record with them almost exclusively because they are so much easier than a traditional setup. No mics or effects chains to worry about. SD 2.0 sounds great...even using a crappy module like the TD-3.
@wendrummer google "music4drums" there's a forum with drumless tracks, but you have to be registered to view it. I am on there and do drumless, infact, I thin my next song will be this one. This video initially got me started on VST haha.
hi taurusdrummer, I have one td3, but when link the midi/usb to the pc, the pc signals a midi interface so far so good, but then what i have to do in superior drummer to get it work properly? Is it just plug an play to the td3 and the PC? Does i need to do something else? thank you, nice vid and nice drumz beats :D
***** I am using the TD3 to trigger the signals from the Roland pads, and linking the TD3 to my MAC via MIDI cable. Then Superior drummer takes over with the AMAZING drum sounds and playability. I am still using this rig today 2015!!! simple and very effective
So the sounds are coming from SuperiorDrummer? What does the TD-3 brain do -- Send signal via MIDI to hardware interface which triggers Superior Drummer?
I do exactly the same thing with an Alesis. Stock sounds don't compare with e-kits like Roland or Yamaha but using it as a midi controller you can get any sound you want without spending $5,000+.
I wouldn't be surprised if he just put in rock band and put it on practice mode. Its a surprisingly good way to get drum tracks. As dumb as it sounds :P
Did you have any problems with tuning the kick-drum. My feeling is that the sound is too low when playing through MIDI via my EMU 0404 USB. This is no problem when using the built-in sounds in my TD-6 module. However, when I increase the sound on the kick-drum in SD2 it has a tendency to sound distorted. I want this fat-sounding kick.
One of the best videos for electronic drums on You Tube. Thanks. Look forward to seeing more.

2:04 LMAO x 3! Nicely done bud! Great rig and sound!!!!!
I have to admit, I keep watching this video. It's now fav'ed and I have subbed.
NICE KIT *T* ....I liked your song choice, LOVE Boston.......
The NAP? LMAO (cute addition)
Great playing too!!. I would like to see more...........Kim =)
Wow, really awesome. I love the play along, I'd love your setup with a few more triggers and toms but wow man, very very awesome.
I am getting these Vs! Great band, Great playing!
flawless drumming, and awesome sound!
Great rendition!! Well done.
Nicely done, Thumbs up , Great song
Great playing, great song to play! Nice job.
GREAT SOUND ON YOU SNARE AND HIHAT BRO!!!!! GOOD JOB!!!!!
So choice. Woot, TD-3. I love mine more than my car.
Well done, sir.
Awesome Job !!!
Clean playing. Good going.
Wow very sweet. That's a TD-3 module??? I definitely underestimated that module.
amazing kit...and a roland td-3? good job

Great video! wow im upgrading my alesis with a roland module fo-sho!
Great nap fill!
Haha, yeah looks funny to play.
Love ghost notes.
Where did you get the backing track?
yeah I have the same set up. Only my triggers are as old as the dinosaurs. And my cymbal is broke. But awesome job on the drumming man. Great job.
good job!
Since the release of guitar hero and rock band video games, there have been many of the bands music used for the games original isolated tracks floating around the internet.
pleasant video!
amazing
AMAZING GREAT SOUND.......NOW I KNOW WHY IM GETTING AN E-KIT :)
Best Cover ever
Yep... still best ever...
Great!!
u can get the bell sound with ezdrummer too...just need to assign that zone of ur ride to trigger the bell sound if you have a dual zone or tri-zone cymbal
you can do it that way. I think with Sony Vegas pro 9, you could record video and audio simultaneously. Am looking into that myself..
@zekeavila do you want to use it with a program like sdx or do you want to record the the direct out?
My drummer hates e-drums...but I record with them almost exclusively because they are so much easier than a traditional setup. No mics or effects chains to worry about. SD 2.0 sounds great...even using a crappy module like the TD-3.
Great vid bro. What sound card are you using?
smoken!!!!
EZdrummer also has ride bell sounds, so it must be your e-drum kit or the configuration.

hey man!
Can u show the vh-11 expressions with TD-3? Roland says no to the compatility but many users say yes, can u show witch ons is right?
Thx!
any chance you could record a midi track of this...
so i can plug it into my superior drums?
@xPLDxPunisher hes using e-drums into drum sim on his computer.. so the drums you hear, he is actually playing..
did you record this through usb? if so could you please tell me how to set up usb instruments in logic please. Cheers :)
How did you incorporate the VH11 into the TD3?I was told it could not be done as it requires 2 inputs.
yeeeeeeeeeeee
Dude!!!... really??? 14 years?? woah! I feel old
S2.2 is not choking my cymbals. How'd that manage to work for you?
I'm running the same setup except PC based software.
how did you get the third crash?? i have the same module, but only two crash inputs
what song is this?
i love it..;]]
Hi, how did you map the cymbal choke sound to sd2.0?
where do i get these drumless tracks?
hi taurusdrummer,

thank you, nice vid and nice drumz beats :D
I guess you can take all that sound baffling down now :)
This music sounds like The Nice!
How much was the total cost?
SO COOL!! are you using a midi cable to an interface and then to the mac? how does that work with the TD-3? THANKS!!
***** I am using the TD3 to trigger the signals from the Roland pads, and linking the TD3 to my MAC via MIDI cable. Then Superior drummer takes over with the AMAZING drum sounds and playability. I am still using this rig today 2015!!! simple and very effective

student702 Yes you are 100 percent correct

it wouldn't be hard to "hack" these - just take the audio out from your tv or games console directly into your computer/recording device?
I know, I meant, when you put it on practice mode, there is no drum track, and you can play over it.
why would you want zero? you cant tell with 1ms. I can barely even tell at 10ms 12-14 starts to push it
@xPLDxPunisher ah yeah! sorry d00d
i know eh!!!

@justinschmueck most likely a Y cable I love them cables I got a bunch on a cheap drumkit but yea its cheap and old
