#RighteousBrothers #You'veLostThatLovingFeeling
By some accounts this recording was played on the radio more than any other single track in the 20th century. One of the greatest recordings of all time.
By some accounts I'm the greatest lover in the world.
@@phantompower Well, at least the only one that really matters, BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.). Not sure what official organization has acknowledged your exploits.
Actually the most requested song on radio was The Beatles’ song Yesterday
@@philipdickey6460 No. "Yestrday" was one of the most covered songs though.
Stairway to heaven
No auto tune. No pro tools. Just two incredible voices live in front of the cameras together. Incredible
As if those production tools were available in the 60s...
Actually, their studio performance *is* dubbed onto this live _video_ performance (listen to their recording, and you'll see it's identical down to the millesecond). Both actual performances are fantastic, but you should know that before posting the reaction-video. Here's the actual audio from that video: ua-cam.com/video/WVijsLP0G5M/v-deo.html
This is not live. They're lip synching to the studio version. The fade out at the end is a clue.
@@TheScottEF Your link is a different performance than this one.
@@Vlasko60 the fade out is the clue? You know they still had sound people that took care of mixing levels right?
Soul and Inspiration by this superb duo will bless the eardrums. ❤
Their best one in my humble opinion!
my fav RB song
Definitely. Soul and Inspiration is amazing
Do they have anything but stellar recordings? I think everyone could go done the list a pick a fav!
Backing vocals in this performance were done, in part, by a young Cherilyn "Cher" Sarkisian.
Bill and Bobby's voices went together like peanut butter and chocolate; excellent by themselves, they combined into something even better.
I was 14 when I first heard this and am now 72. Love you young people enjoying it like I did in the 1960s
Same here. 14 & now 72. Great song!!!! June
I was station in England USAF when this song came out rembering wispering this song in my girlfriends ear while we slow dance at the Air mens club she loved it to this day I still think of that moment...im 78 years young now❤ I miss that loving feeling
I'm 39 but did the same with the wife
This is one of the greatest performances is recording history imo. I’m not old enough to be alive when it happened but it gets me every single time
I was born 9 months after this song released.
I think that speaks to the power of the song and its real world impact.
Just love when youngins finally hear our music 🎶.
I have a lot of respect for somebody who who can appreciate older music and be into metal like myself. Great reaction have a blessed day. Never stop smiling! 😊😀👍👍❤💯
I've found that metal heads tend to be much more eclectic than fans of other genres. While metal is my favorite, I also enjoy classical music and synthwave as well. I have a bit of everything from ABBA to ZZ Top.
You have the whitest teeth I've ever seen!
The Most Played Song of the 20th Century.
It's so cute how you really get into these songs.
If you ever get a chance to listen to Unchained Melody, you'll love that too.
I'm pretty sure that's what she was talking about right at the start of the video. Already did it.
@@blitz3643 Here's the link to her reaction to "Unchained Melody": ua-cam.com/video/GPkNeKnby3A/v-deo.html , as you mentioned.
Not to mention 'Soul and Inspiration' or 'Ebb Tide' or 'I just Wanna Make Love To You'.
I love this girl , nothing but smiles
And twitching eyebrows worth going to war for.
No autotune, just pure voices. Won't find that today. Nice to know such a young person appreciates pure music!✌️
This is the kind of music I grew up with in the 60’s, towards the end of the Big Bands era that my parents listened to. Great memories!
If you enjoyed this song, then Soul and Inspiration needs to be next on your reaction list. It was written as a follow-up to the success of this song by the same songwriters, features the beautiful harmonies of both "brothers", and peaked at #1 for three straight weeks in 1966. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/cwTdRpYTS4c/v-deo.html
I lived that song! I've been married to my current wife for 33 years!
Also check out just once in my life
The final scene of Top Gun (1987) immediately comes to my mind 😍
Also one of the fist scenes where Maverick and Charlie meet
As I recall, this song was #1 for 16 weeks on the charts at the time. Saw them live twice in the late 60s and they were magnificent. They had been my favorite artists of all time up until the A cappella vocal band Home Free during the past 10 years. Both groups share the same style of talent, timing, harmonies, and the special way they soothe the heart and soul with their music.
I had the honor of hearing the Righteous Brothers while still in high school and loved every minute of listening to them. During my time, they were one of the hottest groups.
Another great song of theirs ... 'Soul and Inspiration.'
This song was played on the radio more than any other song in the 20th century !! Read that again !! These guys were amazing
One thing for sure this is the most beautiful song ever. And for sure loved her reaction to it ❤
Watching your face while you were watching these boys was a joy. This was released when I was about 11/12. We took this sort of music for granted. It is only now watching the younger generation discovering and enjoying good music from my youth that I realise just how good they really were. ❤️🌹
My heart is in classic rock, but music like this will melt your heart 🥰
“Cause baby! Something beautiful’s dyin!” Such a hard hitting moment of this song!
The best male duet in music history…the sound these two guys were able to make is just incredible & will never be “heard” again.
Great reaction
Oh and PS,
U know how these two had to be talking beforehand about not holding nothing back & they blew the f**king doors off
The crescendo that builds & builds until…BABY! BAAAABAAY!!
Lol that’s one of the best live vocal performances ever
I grew up listening to a station called 97.1 the lady that would put this kinds of songs her name is Delilah. She raised me on this kind of music. Mind you I'm 30 years old. When I started to listening to that station I was I was 8 . But this music always had my heart and soul.
Agree with Julio, that always has my heart and soul, as he said. Listen to Summertime and Somewhere and Dream on and so many more Righteo😅us Bros.
And Eric Clampton’x Tears in heaven or Holy Mother or Percy Sledge. The first time ever I saw your face sung by Roberta Flack, Crying by kd Lang
We have Delilah where I love. She always asks for requests and lovingly asks why. Good time with her!
You have selected "Blue-eyed Soul" again. Great choice... These men are darn good. i predict that you will LOVE their work.... Take care and continue to explore music from this time period.... Bobbie can tear those high notes UP. He has/had a great tenor voice... AND Bill could do the low/bottom notes!!!! They blended their voice so well.............. Raw talent and skills!!!!!!!! Do they make singers like this anymore??????? I am tickled PINK that I am old enough to remember when these songs and this group on the radio........
I'm your average 45 year old guy and this song can bring me to tears. That's how powerful this song is...
Soul and Inspiration by Righteous Brothers!!!...
Now that you've heard both 'brothers' sing, I'm excited to hear your reaction to 'Soul and Inspiration' another of their classics. I'll put money down that you faint when hearing that song! I really enjoy your reaction, Aileen. You give this old dog hope for the next generation of music lovers. I see today's music like a seven layer, five flavor wedding cake - gorgeous, delicious, but overdone. The classics are like a cupcake made by Mom with homemade frosting and a few sprinkles. The wedding cake is fabulous but you'd crawl over broken glass to get one of Mom's cupcakes. Blessings to you!
This song and Simon and Garfunkel's Bridge over Troubled Waters always get me. If you havent listened to bridge it I s a must😊
Great duo of all time imo. I’m old enough to have been alive when they recorded it along with Bobby Hatfield’s recording of Unchained Melody live on the Andy Williams Show. Sadly Bobby left us in 2003. Thank you.
arguably the best duet of history in music.....
Phil Spector's arrangements and recording techniques were the perfect match for these guys to light up the great songs they sang. Incredible lush and tasteful atmosphere for them to exist in. Spectors genius worked especially well with the romantic themes the Righteous Brothers excelled at. Perfect recipe for success.
Just a beautiful heartfelt reaction from you, Aileen! ❤
It's wonderful to see how moved you are by this classic music.
Staying in the category of beautiful melodies from the 60s, let me suggest you sample Gerry and the Pacemakers.
Two real gems are "Ferry Cross the Mersey" and "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying." They're British.
Fantastic song. Thank you for reacting to this great song🎉
My mom raised me on the music of the 50's and 60's,and I am so thankful that she made music a big part of our lives. I am 44,and was blessed to see The Righteous Brothers in concert in Reno when I was a kid, just before Bobby was hospitalized here with cancer. Nobody knew at the time, and my mom and aunt were working the floor where he was. They would catch glimpses of Bill Medley as he hurried in and out to visit. I was sworn to secrecy with this knowledge lol
Her smile through this was everything.
I think you'd love hearing them sing Soul and Inspiration. My favorite Righteous Brothers song. If I was around back then I'd definitely would have wanted to see them live.
they sang to your soul.
1965 to 1975 was the best time ever for music.
1959 to 1969
I grew up in Orange County California same as the Righteous Brothers they were just a few years older then me so I got hear them on the radio a whole lot. One time I to a club in Costa Mesa to hear a new band that were doing their 1at gig and when I sat down I realized I was sitting next to Buddy Miles and when he stood up there was Bill Medley sitting next to him.
Well done Aileen, another epic song! Tnx❤
It’s called singing with authentic “soul”.
Righteous Brothers are Icons! Love your reaction!
Lots of passion for sure
They are the greatest Duo ever!!! This fantastic song is one of the greatest songs in music history. Soul and Inspiration & Just once in my Life are great also. They were on 🔥🔥🔥 doing Little Latin Lupe Lu and The Nightime is the Right Time. Bill Medley(deep voice) is 83 and performing with Bucky Heard. Bobby Hatfield sadly passed in 2003. Best of success on yr channel
Bill Medley’s last 2 albums of blues songs (Your Heart to Mine and Damned Near Righteous) are fabulous!
Not only were these Brothers Righteous, but this reaction is gonna be righteous too 😎 Excited to see the reaction and I can’t wait to see what you have to say about this artist and this type of music 😭
A other quartet from the mid 60's to check out is THE VOGUES. 4part harmony which translated into scores of beautiful romantic sons with incredible lyrics.
Blue eyed soul music at its finest, nothing like that around these days!
Just found your account and I love it!!! New sub!
Phil Spector's "Wall of Sound" and the Righteous Brothers vocals what else needs to be said?
These guys were the real deal. Nice job with this one! 🙂
I was trying to think of a word to describe you, and the one that keeps coming to mind is SIMPATICO! Muy, muy, muy Simpatico! Please keep doing what you're doing. You are a breath of fresh air!
Many years ago, my ship was in Trieste. We played the local rugby club and afterwards went back to their clubhouse. The girl who arranged the social part was the wife of the team captain and turned out to be Welsh. She had a bit of a falling out with her husband over something or other and my entire team, plus supporters, serenaded her with this song. It worked. I will never forget the look in her eyes as she watched the boys slowly approaching and then looked to her man. Pure joy.
I am so glad you are discovering the oldies. I was one of the guys to suggest Stevie Ray Vaughan and your reaction to it was absolutely worth the wait! Another group you would do well to have listen to is the Bee Gees. 'Too Much Heaven' or 'Stayin' Alive' are two good introductions to this super group. Please do us a favor and give them a try. 🙂
Ok, I feel like an idiot. I searched your channel and did not find the Bee Gees. Only to realize I misspelled their name. Doh! 🤦♂ Anyway, thanks for the great reactions. 👍
You nailed it Aileen!!! Great reaction!!!! So great to see someone who just loves music and sees greatess when she hears it!!!!!
Perfection, and perfect gentlemen. Any impact on ladies is achieved with class. The vocal contrast on the bridge is a showstopper.
They were the masters of blue eyed soul!💘💘💘
One of my all time favorites! Beautiful song, beautiful woman, beautiful reaction!
I just subscribed because your reaction was brilliant and honest.
Song request: Come On - Oktaf Kanis, thank you 🔥
Banger 🤟🏻🔥
Aileen...Welcome to the sound of 'Blue-Eyed Soul'.
They have a lot of soul. 😇
Oh, my guys from the 60's. I was in high school when they came out. They were awesome and just had to go out and buy their next 45 rpm hit. I have every vinyl record album they made. ❤❤❤
I'm a classic rock and metal head. But damn these guys put out some great songs.
I would recommend soul and inspiration, also never walk alone.
Two of the greatest voices in recorded music history! The Righteous brothers had soul!
I absolutely love this song 🎵 I love blue eyed soul 😮I'd love to have a a voice like either of righteous brothers ❤️, thank you again Aileen much love and respect my friend keep up the fantastic reactions your one of favourite music reaction channels 🙏 ❤
So happy you enjoyed the song
One of those all time amazing songs that cant be touched.
I graduated HS when this came out !! Love you and your reactions. Keep it going !!
Aileen, please do "Come On - Oktaf Kanis" thank you :)
The righteous brothers are amazing love the tempo I always play them when I go on road-trips or even whim I just take a drive through the woods it’s just gives me peaceful vibes
It’s like magic
The Righteous Brothers were a big part of the Blue Eyed Blues movement. in the mid 1960s
I always love watching people react to Righteous Brothers. Still waiting to see you react to Skinny Puppy - Tin Omen
these two guys were amazing together this song and Unchained Melody are great Aretha Franklin is one suggestion of a singer from the past to check out she was the queen of soul
I grew up in the 80s and this was my moms music, my dad played the rock and my played the soul. Ive heard this song 1000s of times and at 42 years old I still get week in the knees hearing " baby Id get dowm on my knees for you"
I never get tired of listening to this song🎵
You're makin' some awesome material here. Keep goin'👍🏾👍🏾
I love your commentary and your reactions are priceless!
I have always loved the Righteous Brothers music, thank you for this video beautiful lady.
Probably the greatest pop song of the 20th Century...
I love your enthusiasm, and I agree, they are fantastic!!
So Timeless....So Beautiful; definitely meant to sing together to create such beautiful works!! If you loved this, you Need to hear **UNCHAINED MELODY** , You Will Lose Your Mind! Cheers!!!!
Great reaction
2 more songs from them that are must listens: Soul and Inspiration and I Just Wanna Make Love to You.
I Just Wanna Make Love to You is a completely different style and one you just can’t miss. It’s a “must listen”. It had to be quite scandalous considering the date of the release.
@@rhhfayettevilleThere was no scandal. It's actually from the 1950s.
@@Aurora-tp3dy I did not say anything about a scandal. The content was considered “scandalous”. It’s a great song! It was released by the Righteous Brothers in 1964 and was a cover. Etta James released her version in the 50s.
@@rhhfayetteville Scandalous/scandal whatever. It was written in 1954 by Willie Dixon and recorded by Muddy Waters. It reached #4 on the R&B charts.
Etta James' recorded it in 1960. She did a bit of a rewrite making it a woman's point of view.
For whatever reason, Bill in 1964 used that version. I believe he heard her sing it and was determined to do it.
Lovely reaction; your smile says it all!
Please keep diving into their repertoire. They are so in sync and just pull each other together. Melissa Ward here. Check out their live performances with The Blossoms. So much to find with them.. many types of music. Also, "Just once in my life! Ebb tide!never walk alone' and so many types of mustc. Hope you check them out,all of their beautiful music. Ty.
You may like the song “Friends of Mr Cairo”, by Jon & Vangelis. Its a tribute to old movies I think. Also tye song is a bit of a journey, with some really beautiful vocals by Jon Anderson (lead singer for the group Yes).
One of my faves by them that doesn't get enough love is called Just Once In My Life.
You have class kid, and your grasp of talent is refreshing.
I'd like to request Elliott Smith for a future video. There are barely any reactions or analyses on UA-cam. His style of singing is very unique and hard to describe. It's very delicate and listening to his songs feels like stumbling upon a private conversation, as if he's singing intimately to himself or a confidant.
The songs I'd recommend are: Pitseleh, Angeles, Between the Bars, Needle In The Hay, A Fond Farewell
Thanks for a genuine reaction!!!
Love your reaction Aileen!
Awww I was hoping you we're going to react to the righteous Brothers again.. thank you for always brightening my day with your reactions.. so I'm Italian, Irish and Norwegian lol if you don't mind me asking other than being beautiful what is your ethnicity at first I thought you were boricua or Colombian but you also could be Italian one thing's for sure your so beautiful inside and out ❤... God bless have a great day baby girl
Love your reaction, such a great response to something completely beautiful
That little movement you can do with your eye browse is simply amazing!😍
A song that you can understand what it is all about "Love" and what great voices, very enjoyable to listen to.❤
