Not only was this song #1 on the Billboard charts for 16 weeks, it went on to be the most played song on the radio in the 20th century up to the year 2000. Saw them live twice in the 60's and Bill Medley at his own nightclub in 1980. They were the best duo ever.
NOT TRUE. It didn’t make it go the year 2000! The Police’s “Every Breath You Take” surpassed them in 1999. Most definitely bought. Because radios were playing the other at a ridiculous rate in the late 1999.
Ladies: You just heard and saw one of the best songs and live performances of American pop. One of my favorite songs of the mid sixties and it still is. Amazing!
Their one of the greatest or thee greatest duo in music history. Bill Medley (deep) & Bobby Hatfield. Many very good songs. Soul and Inspiration Just once in my life, Ebb Tide, Latin Lupe Lu, The Night time is the Right Time and more plus songs they sung alone.
Sisters Both Hatfield (Tenor) and Medley (Baritone/Bass) were a group until 2003 when Bobby Hatfield died while on the road in a motel hours before he & Bill Medley were scheduled to sing at a venue.
Both of you will definitely want to react to a 1964 live TV performance from the ABC prime-time Rock music program, “Shindig”, in which The Righteous Brothers team up with The Blossoms (a female African-American singing trio) to sing a cover of the Ray Charles song, “(The Night Time Is) The Right Time”.
They were magical. I remember when it came out in 1965 when I was a teen. Great musical chemistry between them. Hard to believe you don’t know it but hey, never too late. Did you see the movie Top Gun? The first one and it played in that movie.. they are my favorite all time group. If you want to hear more of they’re great songs try another number one hit Soul And Inspiration, also they did a tribute song to stars that have passed with rock And Roll Heaven and so many more. Take a trip down memory lane of the 60’s and 70’s. Thank you girls
I see that you watched unchained Melody performed by Bobby Hatfield he also does another solo. Call. EBB. Tide. Which is also an amazing performance and as you mentioned all these guys had was a microphone hooked up to an amplifier and some backup singers they just don't make em like this anymore pure raw talent and FYI the righteous Brothers were considered. As blue-eyed soul because their music was based on Motown
Lovely ladies glad you were digging this fantastic song so much.. The Dynamic Duo never disappointed!JUST ONCE IN MY LIFE by them is similar and another fantastic song.
"Soul & Inspiration" is another famous Righteous Brothers song to react to ... this is the best and most popular version for doing reactions to. The exact title that you should use in the youtube search is: (You're My) Soul & Inspiration - The Righteous Brothers (Rare long intro) 1966 {Stereo}
O.K. ladies, thanks for reacting to the very awesome song. They have many hits. But apparently you have never seen the movie Top Gun! Grab a big tub of popcorn and settle in on your couch and watch it tonight. Enjoy!
The uploader remixed the audio and lowered the instruments a bit too much. He apparently wanted to highlight their vocals but did so at the expense of the overall effect.
