    It was by the grace of God I never contracted anything. I was reckless my whole teens, 20's and half of my 30's... The anxiety caused by living that way and dreading every test was absolutely crazy in hindsight. Its even less safe out here now.

    As I'm watching this there is someone who died yesterday, because she didn't want to take her medication, and she left 3 kids, how I wish she saw your story before taking her decision, I feel for her kids they are still young.thank you sis Khanyi.😢😢😢💔💔

      You dont just stop taking your medication or refuse going to the clinic guys,satan is really at work here,we need to pray very hard for these people to be strong and see life in a really positive way.these people go through a lot rite from their homes,neighbours,nurses at clinics and then they decides to just give up.lets put them all in out prayers they'll survive

    So was the teacher investigated by the police? Sounds like he s3xually 🆎used her but no consequences just because he said it didn’t happen, also the teacher should have been fired because under his supervision the kids were heavily intoxicated, that irresponsible behavior

    She is so real in her story telling. I know of a friend who was taken advantage of by his cousin and friend . She was drunk. They took turns. Thank God she is not infected, but she couldn't remember

      Not spiritual at all, your immune system become soo low that the brain becomes infected with fungus, cryptococcal meningitis ensue, or else encephalopathy and encephalitis as a result you become mad, / psychotic, that is not spiritual, get ARVs then you become fine😊

      Protection is your sole responsibility. Do not leave it to anyone. Disclosing your status is a personal choice. And by the way, the virus in her body is undetectable, she can not pass it on to anyone, for as long as she adheres to taking her meds.

    She should have tested in 2008. Fear and denial ruled. The school teacher most likely infected her. It's not her fault she was infected as she was intoxicated.

      She's not laughing like that. No one has actually been arrested for infecting others. E.g if I get raped n infected with hiv ,they the arrest the guy for rape not attempted murder.
      Also both parties are held responsible if consensual
      Especially now there is prep

    The voice of both persons is so calming. I am so happy to see and feel her smile.. Staying depressed will only make your sicknesses worse. You are beautiful inside and out. Also your story I know will help our inexperienced youth who because of frontal lobe development not being complete make decisions that can affect them the rest of their life. This story can also help those affected to know their life is not over.. I look forward to a time when the total earth will be filled with right hearted persons who love God will live in peace forever..

    I’m not understanding. You were sexually active, sounded like rape, and everyone said he’s positive for HIV but no adult took you to get tested? Then continued to have relationships, especially with women who are more susceptible due to our many openings and just still didn’t get tested? 🤔

    Her story is absolutely beautiful because I can see the ignorance and fear at the time she realised that she was a carrier. I see people on the comment section blaming her but don't forget she was very young and the same decision people in her then age will make because of the fear of being judge by the society, friends and family.     😂argh when she said she didn't want to go to the clinic again because this time she might get arrested(getting big bad news again)...i love her sense of humor. She went through such a journey and yes we mught fault her for not getting tested right after high school but who are we to judge, I'm just happy she got her life back to order and is living happily now.❤

    Hearing you are hiv positive the first time is traumatizing I know the feeling and damn I cried even the social worker was finding it difficult to talk to me I couldn't hear a thing but I'm still alive 13 years later. That life I saw crashing down before my eyes is now in the past

      Are you aware that HIV has a VERY LOW to NO transmission from woman to woman?!?!? I know several women who were unaware of their infection and didn't transmit the virus to their men for years. Most transmissions happen MAN to MAN & MAN to WOMAN!!! MEN are the PRIMARY INFECTORS!!! Google is FREE

    Oh dear, had you gone to the hospital immediately your friends told you would have been put on PEP. It is effective within 72 hours of exposure.
