Get oem timing components believe me it's worth the piece of mind.
Make sure any bearings are made by NSK/NTN/Koyo and you're good. Mitsubishi OEM timing belt probably the best bet yep. :)
Since gates makes the belts I usually just go with them. I had their blue kevlar belt for 60k and now their normal OE style belt for 45k.
I also really like the PCI bearings. I've used them for both belts and they worked great.
Let me check out in the garage and I'll see what I have extra that you might be able to use for the car.
Also, like Troy and others have said..Use OEM Timing components! JNZ Tuning or Extreme PSI should have everything in stock.
For the 2.3L going into my 93 I used OEM Hydraulic Tensioner, Tensioner Pulley, and Idler Pulley. I went with a Gates Blue Kevlar Timing Belt and a Autozone Water Pump. Not that worried about the Water Pump being non OEM, and the Kevlar Belt is supposed to be stronger than the OEM Belt. Iv'e used this combo in plenty of cars with no issues, but YMMV.
Nice bro I was wondering how much it'd be for accessories like that on my 90 tsi. I've been working on the road and all I am doing is saving to have it fixed up within a month or so

I think extremepsi.com has timing belt cover. If it is the whole giant side cover not the cam cover it is like $120.
