Completely agree, obsessed with dieting and exercise over the years and weighing myself consistently and letting the number dictate my day. I haven’t weighed myself in years and will not have them in the house anymore and I’ve learnt to listen to what my body wants. Finally broke the cycle after wasting so much time from my teens to my 30s x thank you for this
I remember the Diet Coke era, and the low fat era. I quickly realized these did not satiate you in the 1980's. A hamburger does not fill you up like a home meal with enough fiber, and greens. I am grateful I grew-up where Olive Oil was normal. Thank you for being encouraging.
I find you some years ago! i started with book, podcast then youtube. Marisa, you definitely changed my all life, still work on me and i am fascinated how thoughts can change your brain but i was stuck in a bad dark place! Thank you and i send you lots of❤️ love! You are my inspiration 🙏🏻

I totally agree with marrisa .. as a person who has dieted my whole life the weight always comes back after losing as i think the body is clever and triggers u to binge .... although i do think that calories consumed matters i now track calories but i takw off only 100 calories max 200 calories when before i would bw on 1300 cals a day
one of the best video so far. I know probably what Marisa wants to say. I have been athlete for years and yes even there u can fall in very scary hole plus if u not as good as u dreamed of.... I am glad I am out of some mysery but working on my mind set. 🙏
I'm sorry I love Marisa but disagree. I have started tracking my calories and weighing myself because I've gotten overweight. I did this before and ending up losing almost 40 lbs. So it did work. It's when I stopped watching that then I started gaining it back. When I weigh myself I just see it as checking how my progress is going. I don't let it get me down.

That’s the point Marisa is also trying to make.
Diets are not sustainable and at some point you will put on all the weight back,if not more.
But If I want to lose weight ... what to do?! I don't want to give up
