Oceans of Slumber are some of the most talented and overlooked folks - they definitely tell stories that people need to hear

Dobber Beverly and Cammie Beverly are amazing people. I think this song pushes everything to a new level. It shreds the idea that progressive metal is just opera vocals when it comes to female lead vocals.

Thanks for checking the video out and just know that this is one of the more middle of the road songs on the record. Some of it swings more into the dark cinematic metal world and the other swings for the fences with epic and emotional. And some mix more of all of it. Truly could be our best and most cohesive record yet 🙏🏽

My first contact with that band…..I can't find words that are enough. I have to hear and see that several times.
    thanks for the good explanation.

Thanks OSN for that explanation of the rope art used in the video. It's given me a better appreciation for what Cammie & company are presenting. As for the song, yes it's incredible! I have been a huge fan of theirs since "Winter" and "The Banished Heart", but I felt that what they put out since then was not up to my expectations of doom and heaviness. Which is OK...they are not here to please me. But this song has put the band once again front and center for me, and I am very much looking forward to hearing the other songs from the new album as the months tick away. BTW I gave the band some comments about the video via FB saying that I love what they did in the video but please don't have Cammie try a Lindsey Stirling stunt! (Let's see if you and others catch my drift by what I meant by that!) Hey if you are in town (H-town) Monday for TYR, or in Austin for Blind Guardian on Wednesday, I'll come up and say "hi"!

The thing I noticed when I heard Winter for the first time was the voice. The lyrics resonated on a level that moved me. OoS are one of the greatest bands around today.

I discovered this band on a list on a Brazilian website of 10 doom metal bands we should know, and it became one of my favorite bands

I don’t comment much, but I feel I have to here. Excellent reaction (well, nothing new there😉) but I really respect you explanation on the shibari theme. It is an art form and it really fits the theme of the song. Very well seen and above all, very well explained. We did a video in the same vein a few years back and we had to to a lot of explaining… The thing I really loved is you first talked about trust. Which is the most important.

This is the first track I heard from them and I felt exactly what you said this is amazing. I live in europe so I can only hope to see them live oneday. Her voice gives shivers up my spine. But you said that they toured with eleine and them I do know infact I,m one of their patrons. But my question to you is ,do you think eleine has been an influance to them for this new song?
