Just the video I needed. Mine 2014 popped out today. Had to fix it in the dark with a flashlight at about 15 degrees F and a stiff north wind but this video made a huge difference. Thanks.
@@Scamala_Hindu_Harris yeah I got hot from the heater so rolled the window down to get some cold air in my truck and didn’t notice the bottom of the window had ice stuck to it that kept it in place but the mechanism went down and the window stayed in place popping the window out of place
Thanks for the video. My window just popped out of the clips. I will be waiting a few days until the temperature gets up above 30 to fix it. Excellent video.
I just had to do this on a 2022 1500 classic. The biggest problem I had was the window had come off the track at the front. I managed to get it all clipped into place but it jammed half way up and I could see it wasn't lined up properly in the track, so my advice is before clipping it back in make sure it slides all the way up--by hand--, then it should clip it pretty easily. Put the yellow clips back into the window, then sit the window back into the white clips on the rails. The design here obviously sucks, as I've never had this happen in three decades of driving cars. I think there was some ice in the window and on the retraction of window there isn't much keeping the window in the clips other than its weight, so when the motor fights ice to pull it down it unhooks.
Lucky you. Cause I never seem to get out of there without at least a $2000 bill with things that "need" to be fixed. But yeah. This video is just perfect. And epic song choice 👍 thanks OP.
Why take the speaker out? I can't seem to get the damned clip to clip into the track. I've tried with the clip on the track and trying to get the window set and I've tried with the clip on the window and trying to get it on the track. It seems like the window will just not move down onto the clip. Frustrating.
I had the same issue. I then realized the white clips have a hinge, so I was able to force it all together, but it still wouldn't work. That's when I realized the front of the window had come out of the trench/track it rides up in. Get it into that so that the window goes up with your hands nicely first. Then you know it's all aligned, and then it should clip in okay.

Bro tell me why I’m about to do the same in 18 degree weather on my 2016
About to this shit in -10 degrees at night 😂
@@anthonyarizola2307 window froze and you rolled it down?

@@anthonyarizola2307 Mine roughly did the same but broke it horizontally lol.

I don’t even need to fix my car, I just really enjoy this video. Wonderful music.
Thank you so much. Basic and simple without all the nonsense.

Great Video! Same procedure on 2018 Longhorn 3500, just a few more wires to disconnect, clip was not broken, just let go.
Thx man! I wouldnt have known about that reset, if I hadnt have watched your video. Cheers.
No prob.. Cheers!
Thank you very much. Simple fast and to the point. Greatly appreciated
Man, thank you so much for this video! Saved me at least $100 it was going to cost by taking in to the dealership.👍
Glad it helped

One detail I found, when pushing the window down into the clip, you need to push the window slightly outboard to have it glide over the locking knob.
Thank you, Window came off track from ice and snow, had it fixed in half an hour.
Great video, saved me in a pinch during a winter storm!! Enjoyed the music as well. Tyvm!!
Glad it helped!! I love the old Mumford and sons lol
Yes, very good video. And THANK YOU! Saved so much time and money. Good job in keeping it concise and short.
Glad you liked it!
Thank you! That made it a super easy job and saved me a ton of money. Cheers 🙂
The words on the screen started small and kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller. By the time I got to the end I could not read any of it.
Thanks for the video, saved me $200
Thanks helped alot was pretty easy with your clear video🍻
thank you great video saved an expensive trip
Gotta love youtube lol Cheers!!
I couldn't read the writing due to it getting smaller and smaller. What do you do once you take off the speaker nuts?
Helped me out a lot. Great video thanks!!!
Would had helped if you didn't have that stupid music playing.
Haha! That is why there’s a mute button
Mute button or not, I'm sure you've watched other UA-cam channels. Music is f'n annoying, clear spoken instruction is where it's at bud
Fortunately for me, I'm literate, so reading the instructions wasn't a problem .

Thank you for making this video
Tysm! my clip was broken horizontally somehow and I had to zip tie it :( lol. Should be illegal to make parts plastic.
Great stuff! Thanks for the help
thank you! of course it wouldnt be winter/ICE that caused it to pop out haha....
Thanks 👍🏻works for 2017 too
Thanks for posting....music was....unexpected
Could go without the music Jesus
Good video. Obnoxious soundtrack.
Thanks brother
Mine might be off track it goes up and down but not all the way down
Mine was actually dropping down inside the door when trying to completely close
thank you
I need to try this cuz my window doesnt work up or down i can lift the window den it wants to fall ,😂
Why do you have to play music we don't want to hear music we Directions on how to do it. Music doesn't make everything better
Music sucks
