DIY Portable Solar Generator
Video of building your own portable solar generator. Decided to build my own as I can modify it if my needs change and can easily replace components in the event of failure. I have use it to power lights and fans at our off grid camp for multiple evenings/nights, to operate power tools in remote locations, to power multiple utilities during camping trips and so on. Below is a list of the components used to build the solar generator:
Amazon list: amzn.to/3t9JGUy
Battery: ca.litime.com/?ref=yj5jtimt
Inverter (could use any inverter): www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/motomaster-eliminator-power-inverter-1500w-includes-wired-remote-0111866p.html
Solar Panel (do not need kit if buying inverter separately): www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/noma-80w-solar-panel-kit-with-power-inverter-3994350p.html
Be aware this is an informational video only and you are responsible for properly wiring the circuit. Do not attempt this build if you do not have knowledge in electrical circuits as you can cause damage to components or even cause serious injuries.

Camper Renovation - R-Vision 7212
Переглядів 128Рік тому
Here is a video of our camper renovation. We bought this with the intention of doing a simple refresh, unfortunately water had seeped in to the back wall. This forced us to open up the wall and reconstruct it from the fibreglass shell. Decided to make a video to help give inspiration to others to renovate their campers even if the renovations is more than anticipated. Here is a few items we use...
F150 LED bar easy install
Переглядів 699Рік тому
Quick video on installing a LED lightbar hidden behind the front bumper grill. Please note this may reduce airflow to intercooler, which may in loss of warranty or even damage. I installed the following lightbar: www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B078Y1MFCR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Enjoy
Installing 7 pin plug on 2019 F150
Переглядів 11 тис.3 роки тому
#curt #f150 #trailer #camper Quick video on installing a 7 pin plug on a 2019 F150. This was a fairly simple install. The wiring was a bit confusing with the colour listed on the output part not matching the diagram. As mentioned in the video ignore the colours on the part itself and follow the diagram, orienting yourself using the notch. The end result was a plug and play type install with OEM...

Hidden LED bars for standard chrome Ram 1500 bumper

Decided to share a short video on LED addition to standard chrome RAM 1500 bumper as there was not much online for this style of bumper without installing the bar on the roof or above the bumper. Enjoy! This video is about LED bars
Music sucks
Thank you so much. Basic and simple without all the nonsense.
Tysm! my clip was broken horizontally somehow and I had to zip tie it :( lol. Should be illegal to make parts plastic.
😂😂👎👎👎as soon as I saw that adjustable wrench!
Thank you very much. Simple fast and to the point. Greatly appreciated
Got any idea what causes this?
Where did you find the kit at?
What size hole bit was needed to fit the cutout ?
Hi do you know if it’s the same size for different f150 models ?
They all are different for the four doors. It has to be from a four door and then from a crew cab. It has to be for a crew cab.
I don’t even need to fix my car, I just really enjoy this video. Wonderful music.
Where did you connect them too for power if I may ask?
I have the same camper. I bought last year. Needs work done just like yours!!!! Some water damage. But fixable. Help! Love the video!!!
U can make a bracket and sell it to me?
I just had to do this on a 2022 1500 classic. The biggest problem I had was the window had come off the track at the front. I managed to get it all clipped into place but it jammed half way up and I could see it wasn't lined up properly in the track, so my advice is before clipping it back in make sure it slides all the way up--by hand--, then it should clip it pretty easily. Put the yellow clips back into the window, then sit the window back into the white clips on the rails. The design here obviously sucks, as I've never had this happen in three decades of driving cars. I think there was some ice in the window and on the retraction of window there isn't much keeping the window in the clips other than its weight, so when the motor fights ice to pull it down it unhooks.
Great Video! Same procedure on 2018 Longhorn 3500, just a few more wires to disconnect, clip was not broken, just let go.
Will they fit on 2008 f150?
Why take the speaker out? I can't seem to get the damned clip to clip into the track. I've tried with the clip on the track and trying to get the window set and I've tried with the clip on the window and trying to get it on the track. It seems like the window will just not move down onto the clip. Frustrating.
I had the same issue. I then realized the white clips have a hinge, so I was able to force it all together, but it still wouldn't work. That's when I realized the front of the window had come out of the trench/track it rides up in. Get it into that so that the window goes up with your hands nicely first. Then you know it's all aligned, and then it should clip in okay.
thank you
One detail I found, when pushing the window down into the clip, you need to push the window slightly outboard to have it glide over the locking knob.
Thanks for the video. My window just popped out of the clips. I will be waiting a few days until the temperature gets up above 30 to fix it. Excellent video.
Yeah ...lotsa help. Where do we find brackets???
Made them.. get a fab shop to make them… shouldn’t be to expensive
Just the video I needed. Mine 2014 popped out today. Had to fix it in the dark with a flashlight at about 15 degrees F and a stiff north wind but this video made a huge difference. Thanks.
Bro tell me why I’m about to do the same in 18 degree weather on my 2016
About to this shit in -10 degrees at night 😂
@@anthonyarizola2307 window froze and you rolled it down?
@@thefraudsniffer5485 yeah I got hot from the heater so rolled the window down to get some cold air in my truck and didn’t notice the bottom of the window had ice stuck to it that kept it in place but the mechanism went down and the window stayed in place popping the window out of place
@@anthonyarizola2307 Mine roughly did the same but broke it horizontally lol.
Thank you! That made it a super easy job and saved me a ton of money. Cheers 🙂
What size are the nuts ?
That's perfect thank you. You didn't need to explain anything it's all clearly demonstrated
Thanks helped alot was pretty easy with your clear video🍻
Thanks for the video, saved me $200
I appreciate the video, but the lighting!
Great video for physical installation, but does not show how to wire in the 7 pin...
Could go without the music Jesus
thank you! of course it wouldnt be winter/ICE that caused it to pop out haha....
Good video. Obnoxious soundtrack.
Helped me out a lot. Great video thanks!!!
Thanks brother
Thank you for making this video
You don't explain anything thanks
Great stuff! Thanks for the help
Thanks 👍🏻works for 2017 too
I couldn't read the writing due to it getting smaller and smaller. What do you do once you take off the speaker nuts?
Thank you, Window came off track from ice and snow, had it fixed in half an hour.
Do you recall if there was a torque spec on them? I don't want to snap of one the pre-installed studs off...
Where do you get 12 nuts id there 8 studs on each side?
What's the weight rating on those
Nuts are M10 by 1.25 pitch serrated flange nuts btw on my 2015. F250 and F350 running boards also fit but hang lower. Good for a lifted truck.
Actually they are M8 by 1.25 pitch serrated flange nuts for my 2018
@@eub100yep I ordered the 10 🤬
Nuts are M10 by 1.25 pitch serrated flange nuts btw
What about screws?
@@xNozzz they come w truck. They are stationary. If they are not there. You likely won’t be able to install them.
@@rolandos64 just looked thank you! Nuts are m10 by 1.25 for a 2016 f150?
The words on the screen started small and kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller. By the time I got to the end I could not read any of it.
What brand did you use for the 7 pin
www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01CGPYW1E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I need to try this cuz my window doesnt work up or down i can lift the window den it wants to fall ,😂
Would had helped if you didn't have that stupid music playing.
Haha! That is why there’s a mute button
Mute button or not, I'm sure you've watched other UA-cam channels. Music is f'n annoying, clear spoken instruction is where it's at bud
Fortunately for me, I'm literate, so reading the instructions wasn't a problem .
How much were they?
