What about the Suzuki GSX-S1000F?
@@ericw1261 GSX-S1000 with a bit more plastic. Very sports focused, in my opinion one of the ugliest looking fronts, and no touring consessions. This 2020 Kawasaki now has ride-by-wire, cruise control, TFT. It carries over the IMU TC/ABS, and has 1/2 gallon larger tank than the Suzuki. The GSX-S definitely has a more exciting engine with more power but in stock form the emissions ruined the throttle control. Kawasaki is a superb value for the dollar. Suzuki is more sport-naked focused.
@@exothermal.sprocket throttle control easily fixed with an ECU flash but yes, very snatchy when stock.
@@ericw1261 I've considered the GSX-S1000 naked version for several years. Loved the engine when I demo rode it. Also from research, 152-154 whp is available with 84-85 ft-lb torque after full exhaust and ECU flash. It's a monster, and only weighs 461 pounds stock. Suzuki does superb transmissions, but the ratios are straight from the K5 Gixxer which are really stupid for street use.

A great proven bike, good to see they binned the old exhausts, they got in the way of your pillion if you had one, but the stepped seat should be at one level like the ZX14R.

Are those accessories available at the showroom which we can buy ? Special that navigation unit ?
The navigation unit looks to be a TomTom Rider 550 mounted via the TomTom Motorcycle Mount on the fork stem. I've personally been using the Rider 400 mounted this way for years now and it's great.
I bought this bike last year! I now expect many Jet Ski like minded friends - come on Kawasaki don't let me down!

Review on our channel coming soon - along with Z H2. My main issue is that I will almost certainly buy this much more advanced Ninja 1000SX. I only didn't buy the Z1000XS as it was so far behind.

How much? I got the new Ninja 400 on sale for $3150 and it will go 125 mph which is plenty. I rode my Bandit 1200S for 15 years and topped 100 once.

@@mynameisciko4885 actually?? Whats gonna replace it? Because the h2sx is not as comfortable nor has shaft drive and electric windscreen. Ugh my only 3 opinions now is the Yamaha fjr1300, bmw K1600gtl and honda goldwing. I like long rides so I don't want my butt and back hurting after every ride.
@AR10R Carter I'm so confused why Honda is the only manufacturer that updated their touring bike. It has an automatic transmission for christ sakes now lol. But they don't really need to update it, because all it really needs is heated seats and cruise control. And maybe a electric suspension for a bonus.

Why kawasaki is not building a bike better than BMW R1200GS ,HONDA AFRICA TWIN , KTM 1290 ADVENTURE R , TRIUMPH TIGER . Because versys is not capable of doing that much off roading. I know if Kawasaki will build such a bike it will kill all the others in the market. Please build such a Adventure Sport bike.

Kawa, PLEASE, we need 2-cylinder engine! 650cc is an excellent engine, but we need 800/1000cc 2-cylinder Versys and 800/1000cc 2-cylinder SX!
Wish you could opt out of the ugly ass green stickers, especially the long rectangular ones in the middle. So bad. Who designed those stickers thinking "yeah those are sharp!"
an extra £1000 for cruise, quick shifter and color screen....not worth it
Big T they’ve also completely changed how the throttle system works .. I think it’s ride by wire now ..?? There’s variable power modes too as well as the standard power modes .. and there’s full smartphone connectivity and the screen is more adjustable than before and the quick shifter is up and down ... I think it’s still fantastic value for money!!! Look at how much some of the competition charges for similar type bikes ???:-)))I think a grand is about right .. I was expecting much more !!!and not to forget a full LED lights package..:-))
@@dmandhelen LED lights will be the indicators front and rear, no big deal - ride by wire is the only way you'll get cruise control anyway and power modes are just software - the current model has two power modes as it is. So it's still CC, QS and a TFT screen - this isn't worthy of a grand price hike.

@@dmandhelen but that's exactly what Kawasaki are playing on - last years model could be had for under £10K, they know only BMW are producing a comparable machine (R1200R) whereas everyone else has gone the adventure route. The Z1000SX isn't a modern machine by any stretch of the imagination, the motor has been used since 2004 and the frame has not changed since 2011. All that has changed is the plastics, lighting and electronics and yet year on year it's gone up a grand each time. Also, it won't do more than 40mpg which these days is not good enough for a sports tourer. But if it seems good value to you then by all means get one, it's not a bad bike at all but it's not the 'bargain' it first appears.
Big T yes you’re right to a degree ..:-)) but How I look at it ..is that .. to get the most modern UPTO date version of what I consider to be the perfect mix of sport and tour...I have to spend over 15k and have to be sat on 200bhp.. I don’t want to spend 15k and have a 200bhp missile for the 60 miles a day commute that I do .. BUT .. I do want an SX... as UPTO date as can be and I think that 11k is still fabulous value for money.... I don’t know if you have one or not .. but I’ve done nearly 20,000 miles in less than 2 years and it really doesn’t feel like an “old” bike .??.. it also does nearly 50 mpg ..?? I know what you’re saying is valid to some degree.. but it isn’t Kawasaki’s best selling bike for no small reason ..:-)))
