- My car detects a misfire on Cylinders 4&7 that isn't actually happening. In this video I go through the repair procedure from the Ford TSB 13-6-15
5.0L - MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) - DTCS P0300-P0308 AND/OR P0316 NO DRIVABILITY SYMPTOMS - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 5/1/2013.

I got in touch with the dealer I bought the car from. Asked them to do the crankshaft sensor TSB and pcm relearn and it rums great. This videoi headed me in the right direction. Thanks again for this video
Excellent news, glad it helped out.
Never get service at The Transmission Shop Plano TX. 1 code b4 I took my car their now u have 5 codes & still can't drive my 2016 Mustang GT No. 5. Clutch install doesn't work. Dishonest & basically sabotage my car.
Just watched this vid and the Range Rover one from a while back, really enjoyed your review and honesty. And you are right we are well blessed if we can buy a second car. Please do more videos on the mustang and L322. I know i am a late comer to the channel but always wanted an L322 and could not afford one when I worked for JLR but now I hope to. Have a car in auction so will see what that realises and decide. Thank you.

Thanks, appreciate the nice comments. If your car does well, hit me up and take the Blue L322 off my hands as I’ve just bought another project L322 and I’m short on space (not to mention funds right now!).
I just got the same issue, it was P0300 and P0308, and then I got P0316 and P0300. I swapped the coils and waiting for the issue to return hoping it is the coils or spark plugs.
But I also noticed that this issue right after a weather change in the Bay Area, it was very hot for 2-4 weeks and now it is really cold. I have a 14 5.0 with a CAI, off-road Xpipe (catless) and corsa extreme tuned.
I tried swapping things about like that with mine but the fault remained the same. If you've got a decent diagnostic, the crank sensor will be a cheaper fix but only if that is the issue.
Let us know how you get on and the fault is when you've got it sorted.
@@FatNFurious Hello, so the coil from cylinder 8 is working properly. Next thing is to check the spark plug on cylinder 8. Although, I know that’s not the issue but it is a quick diagnosis. I think your approach is going to solve the issue. It is a very weird issue because the car drives perfectly fine but with no power, it is not heating up and A/F ratio is good. I think S197 platforms are going to have more issues because it is an old generation now. We should all start some sort of PAGE or a forum so we all can help each other.
@@1The1Shadow1 find the fix?
@ yessir, apparently it was just my spark plug. For now everything is good and check engine light is gone.
i dont have a good scanner like that. do you think clearing the codes and letting the battery sit unplugged for a while will do the trick
I have a 14 GT when its cold i will get a P303 if i get on it flashing cel then after driving a while the cel will go solid. I changed the number 3 plug and coil. I'm going to take it to a dealership and have them to check this very thing. Car only has 52000 miles on it.
does anyone know the relearn process full name, maybe i can hunt around and find someone with a good scanner to do it for cheap thx!! im having this issue and its driving me nuts EDIT nevermind i found it
Is the scanner process required to ensure a successful repair? My mechanic has a high end scanner I’m just not sure if he has the software to do this procedure if it’s not standard on the scanner. Thank you in advance for the help and advice!
I would say that the answer is yes. For me, it didn’t resolve the issue until I had done the relearn process. Some people seem to have been able to just do that and not even fit the o-ring.
Your mechanic should be able to see if he has the option in his diagnostic before taking on the job. I have an iCarsoft that I use, might be worth seeing if they offer a cheap one that can do it and factor that into the cost of your repair. You’ll always have one then and though initially expensive it will save you money in the long run.
Let us know which car you have an how you get on.
Thank you! Love the video and you worked in some epic humor. Good luck and I hope that CEL stays off.
If it happens mainly during changes in seasons. Summer to winter and winter to summer, It good chance it’s temperature of the changing season. Meaning, Going into winter
Time fuel blend for summer time HOT temps, will cause P0316. Sometimes with a P030……. Same will happen from winter to summer.
Needs a 300 mile trip to totally confirm the fix.
