  • My car detects a misfire on Cylinders 4&7 that isn't actually happening. In this video I go through the repair procedure from the Ford TSB 13-6-15
5.0L - MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) - DTCS P0300-P0308 AND/OR P0316 NO DRIVABILITY SYMPTOMS - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 5/1/2013.

Just watched this vid and the Range Rover one from a while back, really enjoyed your review and honesty. And you are right we are well blessed if we can buy a second car. Please do more videos on the mustang and L322. I know i am a late comer to the channel but always wanted an L322 and could not afford one when I worked for JLR but now I hope to. Have a car in auction so will see what that realises and decide. Thank you.

Thanks, appreciate the nice comments. If your car does well, hit me up and take the Blue L322 off my hands as I’ve just bought another project L322 and I’m short on space (not to mention funds right now!).

Needs a 300 mile trip to totally confirm the fix.

If it happens mainly during changes in seasons. Summer to winter and winter to summer, It good chance it’s temperature of the changing season. Meaning, Going into winter
Time fuel blend for summer time HOT temps, will cause P0316. Sometimes with a P030……. Same will happen from winter to summer.

Is the scanner process required to ensure a successful repair? My mechanic has a high end scanner I’m just not sure if he has the software to do this procedure if it’s not standard on the scanner. Thank you in advance for the help and advice!

I would say that the answer is yes. For me, it didn’t resolve the issue until I had done the relearn process. Some people seem to have been able to just do that and not even fit the o-ring.
Your mechanic should be able to see if he has the option in his diagnostic before taking on the job. I have an iCarsoft that I use, might be worth seeing if they offer a cheap one that can do it and factor that into the cost of your repair. You’ll always have one then and though initially expensive it will save you money in the long run.
Let us know which car you have an how you get on.

Thank you! Love the video and you worked in some epic humor. Good luck and I hope that CEL stays off.
