In all honesty Guard is still very hard faction to get it to work and win consistently so average player still only break even or loose more games than they win.
@@hexzinggaming5040 Yes, Guard have other good units, but the Aquillons remove practically any counter to them as a faction. That is the issue. Aquillons make IG just simply better than all other armies if played by players of the same skill level. Win-rate is a player skewed stat - Space Marines are a great army with a poor win rate because the average SM player skill level is lower. A lot of players don't have the Acquillon models yet. Other armies meta choice may have immediately changed specifically to counter Aquillons. Etc. It is better to look at the higher level teams competitions to see how armies are really stacking up against each other, and to look at WCW players and why they are literally adjusting which faction they are taking based purely on the existence of Aquillons. Aquillons are a busted unit.
Strong yes, busted no, they should go up 10 pts tho
Just use your bloddy bolt pistols to sweep them away if they try to block ur charge, they still die rather easily
If you think 10 bolt pistols kills 10 guardsmen you're inhaling something illegal
@@jacket2848 you don't need to kill them all to declare multi charge into them and the big ticket unit their protecting, just enough to charge around them, also most armies have far more than just bolt pistols to deal with them
Yep, nerf fuel if ever has been any.
Can't wait for them to be completely useless after the next balance dataslate.
In the words of the FGC “they need it; Bro!”
The Fandom crossover i never expected. Aquilons are like scissor kicks that are plus on block with a disjointed hitbox
These videos saying it's broken, that is broken... reminds me of that bloke in mummy 2 this is cursed that is cursed... get over it! 😂😂
They are Tempestus, best of best soldiers, so what should they be like?
Not stronger than space marines and grey knights that’s for sure. Not for the same price. Sure for 125-130 pts. But 90 is insane for the utility and movement alone. And they get crazy amounts of special weapons. Basic Marines don’t even get special weapons anymore just a grenade launcher.
@davidring681 Astrates are not normal humans, but enhanced humans, with two hearts and other implants.
Tempestus are trained normal humans to the limits of their abilities. Of course, they will be weaker than Astrates. But compared to regular guard soldiers, they are the goats🤌🤌
@@Horus-89 try not to conflate lore with the game. they are two separate things which should only a little vendiagram overlap because everything in lore is written to be the best thing ever and unbeatable. the tempestus should be regular humans with 5+ save and a little better wargear options and maybe just a free normal rapid ingress. at the scale of Guard, and especially the 40k universe as a whole, that would still make super soldiers compared to rank and file guard, no different from real world special ops units and rank and file soldiers.
@@MoonStarBoardGames Why would they have a 5+ save? That's flak armor. All the Scions (and their predecessors) have Carapace armor. And saying "They shouldnt be allowed the special weapons theyve always been allowed because GW decided to take the special weapons away from space marines so they could sell Primaris Aspect Warriors" is doubling down on stupid GW choices.

Guard derangement syndrome. 😂
leave my guard alone!!! SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
How many Guillimans to they kill?
Everything GW is broken when released so all the plebs buy em up… then they get nerfed and normalized while GW releases the next neo-meta.
Not in Kill Team, Aquilins are part of the worst ones 😂 but maybe because people buy teams already no matter what 🥹
Bros talking about plebs and “Neo-meta” in a hobby of mostly middle aged dudes painting little plastic toys.
most balanced edition ever!!!!!!
Ugh, shut up. They're annoying and will be nerfed soon. Look at the win rate data, this IS the most balanced edition ever. One OP unit doesn't change that you muppet
It unironically is. Stuff like this is an outlier.
@@Wind-Whistler what on earth are you talking about? almost everyday there's some busted stuff like this not even a few days ago the beastboss able to put down a primarch. you're a tourist.
not you too! not like this. not like this.
ok auspex ... now GW will increase their points ... thanks a lot 🙄🙄
“Somewhat expendable unit.”
You can tell AT isn’t a Guard Commander.
In the Guard, EVERY unit is expendable.
He literally plays guard
Honestly at this point I just assumed he plays EVERY army @ProxyHammer1
He just won a doubles tournament with guard.
First?
But remember: this is the less lethal edition
What's scary about them? A fair few things have 3 inch deepstrike don't they?
You must have on objective unit that has sticky or never drops to strenght that allow turret to shot it off objective. Otherwise they can rapid ingress in range of that turret of theirs and deny you scoring. It happens at end of your movement turn soo there are very few things that can be done.
@@paweplaczek2191 No, yeah I get that, I just mean a bunch of things have reasonably cheap hard hitting 3 inch deepstrike units. I don't see what is especially scary about the aquilons.
@@jimmydesouza4375 Okay, so no, name me the other "cheap" 3" DS units. This is a 10 model, 10 OC, small base size "3 deepstriking unit with a shoot on drop ability and a resurrection strat (and orders). They have an auto two shot/round flamer that is more reliable than most flamers in the game, and a 3D precision sniper. Other 3" deepstriking armies require an expensive strat/are a single large base and so cant reliable screen or stop charges (trygon)/or have abysmal OC so cant take objective (inceptors)/or are flat out expensive when compared for the utility (Celuxus assassin). Aquillons are only 90 points. Nothing else comes close to the utility for the points.
@@MoonStarBoardGames Thanks for the explanation. The units you describe are all out and out better than the aquillons for the cost, min size inceptors put out 3-4 times the firepower for only 40 points more for example.
Is it that the aquillons can be reinforcemented that is solely what makes them powerful?
@@MoonStarBoardGames Technically they arent getting orders if they're dropping in your backfield, and unlike Inceptors are incredibly fragile and slow with middling firepower. They have much better capacity for annoying "suicide move blocking" though, especially when combined with the classic "catachans in a chimera rocketing up the board turn 1 and trapping you in your deployment zone" hassle strat. They should probbably be like, 110, 120 so the spam is less attractive but people sure do oversell the outrage factor
Glory to the guard. Glory to the Empire.
This unit is problematic and needs a large points increase and/or datasheet rules adjustment.
They’re not broken. If you can’t handle a t3 group the problem is you.
if you cant see why they are broken I do believe the problem is you... :D
@@lassemelson5668 Nice try but all the crying over a t3 group? Please.
@@JujiSmileyou know they have a whole data sheet right? Maybe take a look at it.
@@Bishop5466 Oh boy, yes I know but I'm not impressed, I play ORKS and these tears remind me of when necron and tau first came out. What? They get to come back again after they die? What do you mean they can shoot on a 3 or better with that rifle?! Just learn how to do deal with it or better yet and you will love this idea...PLAY ORKS!!! WWWWAAAAUUUUGGGGHHHHHH!
@@JujiSmilebro you casual players say the utmost nonsense with all the confidence in the world 🤡 auspex knows what he's talking about much more than you, he's a superb player.
People still play this overpriced broken game.
The aquilons are broken because peaple play them like they have deepstrike
(fun fact they dont check the app)
They definitely do, if the app doesn't show it then it's an error.
They have 3" drop, and shoot all sentry weapons on drop
They do have it, go see the real datasheet
Haha! They absolutely DO have deepstrike, being drop-troops with an ability that references "When they are set up using deepstrike," but they are in fact missing the ability in the app. Glorious quality control.
@@Happy-zg4zd You mean the datasheet in the app? You know the place GW says is the first and the last place you should check?
