I think you have a good modern designed 22 magnum rifle. It likely will keep up to the CZ 457; but in looks department not so much. I don’t think I will trade my Ruger 77/22, Varmint 22WMR, 24 in. barrel and laminated stock on one. It might have all the bells and whistles covered; but it is too ugly to look at for my tastes. The best thing is; you didn’t buy one those sewing machine needle shooting 17 caliber rimfire rifles. They might be better yet; but cleaning a 17 Remington one time changed my mind on fooling with one real quick. I never want to miss one of your videos because you do such a great job making all of them. It is fun to see how my old guns compare to the newest ones. Thank you for adding to my firearms knowledge.

Your gun reviews are always thorough, honest and consistent. Best gun channel I’ve seen! I really like the 22 magnum and this rifle, a very nice package! I wish I’d had one when I was growing up on the farm. I would have waxed a lot (more) woodchucks than I did with the 22rf.
What a great comment. Thank you for that. When I was a kid (late 80's) we had woodchucks everywhere. Farmers would beg us to come shoot them. But since the coyote population boom of the late 90s they are rare to see.
@@buffalosoutdoors You’re welcome Buffalo! I’ve heard that about coyotes from a lot of people. I’m not saying they’re wrong but I’m not sure they are completely right either. Seems to be too much info for this forum though. I bought the Savage B22 mag FV-SR right after it came out. And when Butler Creek came out with the 25 round banana magazine. I bought 4 of them. You need to check them out. I also bought and installed a brace from Created by Cay that goes into the fore stock to strengthen it and makes the barrel free-floating.
Buffalo, have one in .22mag. and .17 cal. Stuck a couple of Tasco 6x24's on them, used the old muzzleloader trick with the scotch bright on the bores and they are both tack drivers. Enjoy that rifle and thank you for the videos.
Glad to see you're not under water there in Kentucky, now. Heard the weatherman say that you folks had set some all-time, since records began up there (I'm in Oklahoma), record amts of rain and height of rivers. I'm surprised it looks so dry, or, at least unwet. That thing abt price, now; I'm buying on layaway a S&W 351pd and the price seems ridiculous until I figure what I'm getting, and why I want it (arthritis). It all comes out in the wash, I guess, but I know I'll be happy with it.

I too went with the .22 WMR. Put a Bushnell Prime on mine but to get the BDC reticle to work as designed I have to use .22 WRF (1320 fps vs WMR @ 1875 fps) which I can't find at moment. Not Bushnells fault but mine for creating a Frankenstein. The "Prime" is calibrated for .22 LR ( ~1250- 1300 fps). Yanked it and slapped a MUELLER 40×56 on it. Looks like I've got as much scope as I do gun!! VERY narrow field of view but I can see a fly crawling on the target at a hundred! (Thought I had one of those wild-a** fliers until it moved across the target. Yeah I got a good chuckle from that too.) Got the same type of bi-pod also. Mine's a UTG I got from EXTREEM TACTICAL [around $24]. Mine doesn't have the excessive wobble as you showed on yours. Ordered the rifle 3 months after it debuted at the Shot Show for $450. Glad I didn't wait. :-) Love this rifle.
@@buffalosoutdoors Thank you sir. My first firearm was a single shot Savage 22 caliber bolt action rifle. I've had it for over 50 years & occasionally still shoot it. I think I paid $11.00 for it (second hand) with my paper route money.
What year it's been Buffalo! I'm glad you're still standing :-) That's a very nice review! I'm on the hunt for a 22mag since I got my Single-Six. Might have to consider this one.
I have that exact rifle and apparently scope too, mine really likes the Hornady 30 grain ballistic tips. Butler Creek also makes a 25 round magazine for it. The rifle is incredible suppressed!
Dang I have that same problem, and that's why I keep my hands in my pockets when I'm at any of the local gun shops around me. LOL! I gotta start keeping my hands in my pockets as well or I will end up divorced! I plan on doing some ballistics gel tests with the .22 magnum from this rifle and the 3" revolver.
Glad to see you got rid of the flooding. Great looking gun. And sweet accuracy. Or is that the guy squeezing the trigger. Hope you feel better soon boss.
I love my B22 precision 22lr, it shoots fantastic & super accurate..even better with Lapua match Ammo. My trigger came it at 1lb 7 oz. Enjoy it Brother! Carry on
That little swinger at 100 yards, Buffalo showing off. Good to see you on your feet. I have a Savage rimfire in 17HMR, and love it. Dialing back that accutrigger gives it a nice light touch.
I was looking into getting one of these , but when I went to hold one , it’s HEAVY .. great for bench shooting , but maybe too heavy for hunting (trenching through the woods)
It is a heavy outfit. Close to 10 lbs with the scope, rings and bipod. For my purposes it's fine but it wouldn't be my first choice for prowlin around up on the mountain.
@@buffalosoutdoors this video makes me want to go get one , the only issue I would have at the moment beside ammo in my state is , my locker is jam full at the moment 😂
Thanks for another great video. I shot my CZ MTR that I bought because of your videos about a week ago. I think it's going to be really accurate, although it was a very windy day, which opened my groups up quite a bit.
Yeah I have found that the wind makes a huge difference. That's what takes me so long to make those ammo test videos, I try to wait for calm days for that. Glad you are liking that rifle!
That right there is the same rifle im looking at. Either the 22 or the 22mag. I have a Ruger American 22mag but I've been looking at that gun hard. But I might get the 22lr. Cause I already have a good 17hmr and 22mag but it would be mag that my wife hasn't taken over. That Ruger is pretty much been claimed by the wife. Thanks for making me want it even more Buffalo.
@@buffalosoutdoors man I can't wait for mine to get here. I got the muzzle brake I got the same bi-pod I got a simmons scope. I'm getting ready. I even later my hands on a few hundred rounds maxi mag 40 grain hollow points
Buffalo, nice video, glad to see you back. I have a standard Ruger America .22 WMR. Paid about $350. Nowhere near as nice as your Savage; not a precision stock. However mine shoots 0.5" to 0.6" groups at 100 yards from a rest (2 to 7x Redfield scope, trigger adjusted to 2 pounds). I use mine for varmint hunting; off hand I can hit squirrel size targets easily from 70 to 100 yards, no problem CCI 30 gr WMR ammo). I think the Savage is a great deal for a precision target rifle, the Ruger seems like the best deal for a .22 WMR target gun. I bet you could stretch your rifle way out beyond 100 yards!
Man Buffalo that is some sweet accuracy for a 22 magnum........Obviously the design, bolt action, heavy barrel and that awesome trigger might have something to do with it.
Thank you! I appreciate that. It's been a mess. We actually gave up on our mini farm because of this. We sold our livestock except for the chickens and ducks. The flood destroyed our fencing and it was just the last straw in a long string of bad luck.
Looks like a really good rifle, in regards to the price you get what you pay for. Is the ammo hard to come by ? Love the palm swell on the grip and the bolt does really look substantial. It looks like a fun rifle to relax with and shoot some precision 22. Some of those FPS numbers were impressive. Love the trigger :-)) thanks for the review.
That sure is a sweet set up Buffalo! Glad your feeling better, and all that ice and snow is gone!! Think you may do another ammo test with that 22mag Buffalo?
Great rifle,..as accurate as the shootist wants to be, by the looks of this video. Thanks for showing this, I just put one on order at my favorite dealer. I wondered what these rifles could do, and that it's a bolt action, well it got my attention right away.
@@buffalosoutdoors Waiting for my dealer to re-stock, then it'll be sent to me,...I have time, it's still cold and snowy here,.. but spring won't be long now, so I've been told. ( Yeah, so will Santa Claus ! hahaha)
I watched this video several times and one on 22 Plinkster of the lr version.. Sportsmans Warehouse in Fresno has had this in the 22lr on sale, @50 off, and today the last day of the sale I bought it.. The one sold by SW has a blue titainium coated body. Not too fond of that , erfer the black. ,,,oh well it's available and that amazing..Won't get to do the feelier/touch til the 8th and then 10 day wait for the BG check.. Buying a gun in CA is like going through esrow on a house... Surprised I can actually buy this in CA since it has a pistol grip. You can't buy a Ruger American Percision 22.. It has the evil barrel shroud and a pistol grip... Well got it coming before more restrictive gun law are shoved down our throats in CA..
Good looking rifle brother. I recently picked up the Savage A22. As far as that mag goes by the way, Butler Creek sells a really solid extended mag for the Savage A series rifles so I'm sure they would fit that. They sell them in 22LR 22mag and 17 HMR. Anyhow, great video as always. Also glad to hear you are feeling ok. Take care.
Glad to see the flood waters have receded. Dang Buffalo, nice shooting, especially with that small target (2:36) and the wind picking up. I've purchased some dots/optics you've recommended in the past and I've said before that we seem to have similar tastes in firearms. I mention that because although I didn't buy the rifle you reviewed I did just pick up a Savage rifle. It's my first long range rifle, probably because I'm getting old and want to slow things down a bit, lol. I've been avoiding the 6.5 CR for years and always stuck by the .308. A lot of older military guys seem to do this. Well, I got a Savage 12 Long Range Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and the trigger pull is just about the same that you had on your .22. It weighs 11 pounds naked so it's not going hunting anytime soon but it was extremely well priced. It has the best trigger I've ever fired straight out of the box and that's after many years of shooting. After only a few rounds it was nailing steel past 500 yards consistently. If the 1,000 yard range had been available I'm sure it would be no problem for that rifle. I really like this Savage B22 and it is priced around $529 near me but right now but it isn't available. I've heard for years that Savage is a bit underrated and it really seems to be true. Great review, as usual. Hope you finish healing up quickly brother. God bless.
WOW! You will not believe this but that is the same rifle I have been studying on getting. I too want something for long range since a friend of mine put a range in on his farm (I don't have room to stretch a rifle out here on my place). Like you I am torn between the old standby .308 and the 6.5 creedmoor. I am still looking and it's a big purchase for me so I am going to take my time but I was surprised to read your comment about us thinking alike and then you mention the rifle I am looking at!
@@buffalosoutdoors Good luck with your search. The only knock on the rifle is that isn't threaded. I don't know how important that is to you but I got the rifle for $800 and the barrel is capable of being threaded. It still is being advertised on sale for $999 but my store had 1 left on the shelf for $850 and then they knocked another $50 off. I may even tighten up the trigger a bit, it is that light. It is dead on accurate, I mean extremely accurate. There have been a few firearms you've reviewed that I own as well and I've purchased an optic or two after you've reviewed them. You may go for a long range rifle with more adjustments but the Savage is a great shooter. Can't wait to see the video on whatever long range rifle you get down the road, it should be very interesting. Happy hunting and God bless.
Nice rifle. Looks a lot like my Ruger Precision 22. Was just out shooting today. First time since early November. Felt good. 😁👍Your Yard looks so much better. Nice to see you back!
22 magnum is the most underappreciated caliber of all.
Yeah what's not to like about rimfire guns......I love anything rimfire.
I agree!! 22 mag is such a powerful rimfire and it gets no love😞
I had been thinking that it is under rated. Now that I have the rifle and the LCRx revolver I think that even more!
A - 22 magnum is a cartridge, not a caliber.
B - I'd argue the .25-06 is the most under appreciated cartridge

@@buffalosoutdoors for me to hit that at 100 yards I'd need a bipod or a sandbag on the bench. ;-)
@@buffalosoutdoors this video makes me want to go get one , the only issue I would have at the moment beside ammo in my state is , my locker is jam full at the moment 😂
you could take some weight off of it with some work or get the B22 SV which is light....
I have one of these. Great shooter at 100 yds. Given the price of 22mag ammo, I only take it out as a treat to myself.
Thanks Tom I can relate 100% to your comment. My wife has taken over several of my guns and she always lays claim to the best shooting ones...
Sounds like you got a great shooting rifle. Ruger knows how to put together accurate guns for sure. Thanks!
That's a great looking gun. I'm jealous of your ability to buy weapons and ammo.
Thanks for tuning in Joe! I have an addiction..... or affliction .... or something...LOL
Man Buffalo that is some sweet accuracy for a 22 magnum........Obviously the design, bolt action, heavy barrel and that awesome trigger might have something to do with it.
Thanks. I was surprised that it shot so well. A lot of credit has to go to that sweet trigger!
Would love to see you put this little rifle through its paces as you did the CZ 22 LR
Thanks again
Always welcome!
Thanks for sharing your videos and keep them coming please.
I have the same rifle in 22lr, love it. I think I got the same bipod as you from Amazon.
Awesome. I want one in .22lr as well.... and 17 hmr....lol but I can't justify it at the moment. Maybe some day I will!
Wishing ya best wishes hope the flood didn't hurt ya to bad.great looking gun
Thank you! I appreciate that. It's been a mess. We actually gave up on our mini farm because of this. We sold our livestock except for the chickens and ducks. The flood destroyed our fencing and it was just the last straw in a long string of bad luck.
@@buffalosoutdoors man..sorry to here...man I woukd come help with the fence..if I lived close...
👍👍💥💥💥
Thanks Whotee!
That was a really fun video, just as much fun as WTW!!
You gents need to do a video together!
@@garys5540 definitely
Looks like a really good rifle, in regards to the price you get what you pay for.
Is the ammo hard to come by ? Love the palm swell on the grip and the bolt
does really look substantial. It looks like a fun rifle to relax with and shoot
some precision 22. Some of those FPS numbers were impressive. Love the
trigger :-)) thanks for the review.
Have same model/caliber. Would jump on another one if they put it out in 17 WSM.
Great shooting..accurate to say the least..fun music, too
Thanks 👍
That sure is a sweet set up Buffalo! Glad your feeling better, and all that ice and snow is gone!! Think you may do another ammo test with that 22mag Buffalo?
I am planning on doing a few tests with it. I picked up a couple blocks of ballistics gel to shoot too. Thanks for the kind words!
Pretty rifle
Thanks!
Dang it Buffalo you done gone and made me want one.
LOL! My apologies ;)
Glad to see that the flood waters have receded.
Me too! Thank you!
Great rifle,..as accurate as the shootist wants to be, by the looks of this video.
Thanks for showing this, I just put one on order at my favorite dealer. I wondered what these rifles could do, and that it's a bolt action, well it got my attention right away.
Thank you! You are correct. I think you will enjoy this rifle!
Congrats on the acquisition! These are VERY good rifles!
@@buffalosoutdoors thanks I appreciate your honest reviews and I was on the fence about buying another 22 but have a scope on order for it ..
It seems to shoot very well.
It really does. I was a bit surprised as I had always been told that .22 WMR wasn't all that accurate.
Enjoy your stuff.
Glad to hear it! Thank you!
Great Video ! Awesome Rifle !
Thank you!
That's a nice rifle, dead on precise! It's definitely a lot more accurate than the homemade zip gun I made in my garage! LOL
Awesome rifle. It's certainly more accurate than my Ruger American in 22WMR. Although I only paid $224 for it.
Those Ruger Americans have a great reputation for accuracy in their price range. Thanks for the comment!
Very nice
I recently bought the left handed version of this rifle. Do recommend.
Is it as good or better than a Ruger Precision Rimfire? In your opinion...
I don't have nor have I ever shot the Ruger Precision Rimfire so I can't give a fair opinion about it. I'd like to try them side by side some day.
@@buffalosoutdoors I’d lend you my precision Rimfire if you were closer.
Take care.
Man those A22s are nice. I was torn between one of those and the B22 Precision. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it!
Great review. Thx
I'm liking that.
@@buffalosoutdoors
Good luck with your search.
Sick rifle man
Thanks!
Glad to see you didn't have to film this from the Ark!
LOL! Me too!
Nice shot!
Thank you!
Hopefully all that bad is behind you. Stay healthy and safe 👍

@@paulstan9828 is the Ruger weighty like the savage?
@@joshuagibson2520 I was just thinking about that today. With the scope and bipod it’s on the heavy side.
