I wish to thank you person who send this clip when I write the first line to tell my children there was a song related to earth movement 🤣😂 seen so commonly in media.
I don't think people realize how big she was in the music industry. At one point she might have been the #1 musical artist in the world. And that is pretty darn good.
Maybe many in later generations don’t know King but she definitely made her mark on popular music :) - and i bet a lot of young musicians and songwriters are familiar. The ones worth their salt know their artists regardless of genre.
She wrote #1 hits for The Drifters, Herman's Hermit's, Aretha Franklin,Grand Funk Railroad,Kylie Minoge ,hits for The Animals , and The Monkees and many others
What is it about performances like this? Carole King, I was about a year old when this came out. It's that intimate touch. If you can touch someone in a way they've never been touched. It's like being struck by lightning. It's definitely beyond words, but clearly understood by anyone searching for beauty. Anyone who knows how to work a microphone like she does, oh yeah. And the dynamics of her voice and the piano. Really beautiful! I wish I was born a decade earlier. We would be lovers. The way she transitions to soft and delicate. She has such natural talent. Love it.
There will never be another anybody,I never got that saying. Will there be another Bob Seger,ZZTop,Bob Dylan.Maybe there will be another Black Sabbath. I can’t think of anybody who there will be another one No Carole King is awesome tho
Моя чудесная Кэрол, спасибо тебе, дорогая, за твои прекрасные песни 60-х годов! Это наша любовь, это наша вера! My beautiful Carol, thank you, dear, for your wonderful songs of the 60s! This is our love, this is our faith!
Clearly the greatest singer from the 1970s all the others like Karen Carpenter, Olivia Newton John, Helen Reddy and Minnie Riperton have sadly passed away so Ms.Carole King is all that's left of the great ones 😢 may all the ones that have passed on rest in Heavenly peace.
We were at Massey Hall in Toronto to see James Taylor’s “Mud Slide Slim” show. We didn’t know who the opening act would be but there was a lone piano on stage. This was her opening song…it was the “Tapestry” tour as well. Not many people were familiar with her already-established background as a songwriter. James Taylor did a great show but a lot of people left that night talking about Carole.
I am 59 yrs old & I grew up listening to this beautiful woman's music, she is definitely in my top 5, I feel like 16 everytime I play Carol's Music Bless her.
I will never forget dancing hand in hand with my mother listening to this song at the Global Citizen Fest in 2019. The middle of Central Park never felt so beautiful. We had a heart to heart the other night and this will be the song we request at our funerals. I love you so much mother aka Cathy
. One has to just embrace the excellence and thank the Lord you were around to experience it. Much like the Beatles, Elvis and a few other rare iconic artists
Me too!😁 Miss my record player, where I could set on auto repeat!🤗 Congrats 🎉 to Carole King🌸 on her 50th anniversary of Tapestry! A masterpiece, as all her albums!💖 Congrats🎉 to Carole King on her well deserved 2021 Oct Induction to Rock N Roll 🎶🎹 Hall of Fame!👏 Carole, the world is a better place☀️ through sharing your God given talents with us!🌼 Thank you!🦋 We Luv Ya!😊❤
It’s funny she was a song writer for a lot of people. Little did people know she was practicing everyday and created great music, it was a shock too a lot of people.
The Gilmore Girls box set is on my list for purchase soon. I am so looking forward to seeing the whole series again. And yes, Carole was in it as Sophie, the owner of the music store in Stars Hollow, Connecticut.
Singularly original singer- songwriter. Nobody else was writing pop / jazz like Carole King. So gifted and so comfortable as a performer. So many top hits and so versatile.
Phenomenal songwriting colliding with such a soulful lyric, and the feeling behind it makes Carole King so IMPORTANT in the lexicon of popular music. Although I have Loved her work all my Life, she pulls it off so effortlessly, I feel like on some level I've taken her for granted. Just Beautiful!
Wow Carole! So Beautiful! It doesn't just entertain, but it has always Transported me to another place, from the time I first heard it back in the day to this moment... Thank You! Thank You So Much! =D
Carol King..She was bad ass cool...'I just a lose Control. Down to my very Soul.? I remember in high school in the mid 70's thinking stuff like...'Why can't I meet a girl like that?'..'That tops Magic Man'. 'Who is this Guy?'...'It definitely wasn't Gerry'. He was gone by then I figured...lol...frankm62yroldwhitekid...rockfan
@Carole King🎶 Well Carol, the only one I can think of that's as cool as you was another woman pioneer in rock...I mean a pioneer in rock period.. was Leslie Gore...Even though she didn't really write her hit songs...You guys were like The Beatles to me...Maybe The Supremes too...No one will ever do this kind of stuff again ..Never did in over 50yrs....fm
Yes Carole King is phenomenal beautiful woman with a beautiful. Voice I personally. Think that Carly Simon and Carole King voice sounds a lot like The. Same🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶

Ha, ha, that's what brought me here!! 😃
Yup!
Yep, when someone this morning asked if I felt the earth move under my feet here in Burlington County, NJ, I came right here!
😁
@@gailkreyns124 I'm in Lake Hopatcong, and it was something! Have a great weekend, Burlington! 😊
And she just turned 80 years old!
Our angel is still with us! ❤❤
What an album Tapestry is. A genuine classic. With her then partner Gerry Goffin, they wrote so many great songs for other artists in the '60s.
Is it me or is she just absolutely gorgeous?
A natural beauty.
it's u
AND she can write songs like almost nobody else... maybe only Joni Mitchell....
No contemporary singers come close to the greats of the 60s, 70s and 80s.
Totally agree.
@Barbara-sx8kjhii Barbara 😊
The 80s? MTV and music videos are what ruined the music industry. No longer even about the music.
@@StevenHughes-hr5hp hii
absolutely fucking masterful. how does it get any better than this?
50 years later and she still makes the earth move. Cheers
Technically it’d be her feeling the earth move. She never once admitted to making the earth move in the song.

Lol

I don't think people realize how big she was in the music industry. At one point she might have been the #1 musical artist in the world. And that is pretty darn good.
Wasn't Tapestry on the charts for years?

Probably around 5 or a bit more if my memory is right which it might not be at this point in my life....@@rapierlynx
