  • The Grants Pass Decision means much more than we think it does. It is just one more example of how profitable it has become to criminalize the most vulnerable in our society.

    Good to see you again!! Hang tough, Girl! I am SO with you, Jenn! Everyone wants to be "Politically Correct." You can't say you don't have any food. You have to say "I am food insecure." Does giving something a more "pleasant" name, doesn't make it any less tragic. NO. Putting homeless people in jail/prison is NOT the answer to this problem.
    My sister in law has mental illness. She was in a state facility for a time, then was just released with nowhere to go (she had been living with her parents, but had been threatening their lives, so couldn't go back there). She ended up homeless for several years. She suffers some physical issues from damage due to frostbite, etc. She is now in a group home where she is getting good care, meals and meds. She can no longer walk, but is doing well. This is a RARE situation.
