When you throw up. I don't know if you know but you should wash your mouth out with mouthwash then wait an hour and then brush your teeth otherwise you are brushing the acid into your teeth. I love your Vlogs. Yr so inspiring. Xx

I’m so curious about the philosophers stone/ sorcerers stone thing because I know that it originally was philosophers and they changed it to sorcerer for the release of the book in America. I do have a copy published in UK where it does refer to it as “philosopher” rather than “sorcerer” so I know they’ve changed it in print, HOWEVER I did just spot that on your film it uses “philosopher ” instead of “sorcerer” (unlike the DVD I have) and was wondering if they call it the “philosophers stone” in the dialogue of the film. I’m assuming they do, but it’s funny to me that they bothered to film each scene twice just to change the one word and release it in each country. Sorry for the long confusing comment I’m just a huge potter head too 😅😅
My Silver Ring Splints are covered by the NDIS. I'm in Adelaide, and went to an OT as asked for them and they sent the paperwork to the NDIS people, so I didn't have to pay for them and, now they are getting made in the USA and should be shipped to me soon.
Have you tried to get an NDIS plan with them included?

I have been loosing weight randomly due to some health problems, and when it happens a lot of my cloths are way to big, but I don’t know if I should either buy cloths fir when I have these problems, or wait it out? What is your advise?

My weight fluctuates alot and I have a few changes of clothes in a size smaller and bigger than I usually am. I don't have too many though
What I did was have sets of clothes that went from a size 2 to 4 to 6 and I just switched between them depending on my weight 😅 hope this helps ❤️
BUT DO NOT throw your clothes away 😂 keep them because you never know 😅

Evabellejewelry (etsy) makes all kinds of splints! They're lovely, and way more affordable than "real"silver ring splints. I have 4 of their splints, and I love them!

My house keys have a key ring that glows-in-the-dark, it was given to me for free by a fireman and it works really well, but my doors have knobs that turn and so I don’t need a key to escape.
I’m always dislocating my wrist, thumb and finger joints (OMG I swear it’s every time I pull on my compression tights or leggings, or when a door is closing and I try to catch it to go through it, if you’ve done it, you know!), I have got loads of splints made of a hard kind of plastic that the occupational therapist puts in boiling water to mould it around your joints, but it’s hard to push a wheelchair when you’re wearing them... but you’re probably going to dislocate if you don’t wear them, (...is that a ‘things-that-make-you-go-ummmm?)
...but isn’t it so satisfying to hear the ‘pop’ when joints go back? - but meh when it doesn’t and it just hurts!
An arena full of orange shirts would be a nightmare here, because no-one likes Blackpool’s football team (“...sea side, sea side s**t!”) - ha, ha, and I don’t even follow football, but was shopping in Preston one day when it got invaded, and it was really scary!

On etsy GpZebra has some cheap ring splints. Also theres EvabelleJewlery but it's kinda pricey but you also get quality... I'm not sure where they ship to. But those are my go to's.

I’m really scared and worried about a peg, because my consultant has said to me that because I’ve got ehlers danlos there can be loads of complications with placing the tube and the site can not heal or get infected easily etc so I have this nasal tube for atleast 12-18 month before I have to have a peg placed which I’m struggling with as I have a polyp in my nose it’s so painful and you know it’s tough having it on your face for the world to see so I’m just stuck what do to she side have a think about it I duno what’s gunna be best xxxx

I know you’re probably tired of me being the mast cell momma, but we all seem to have a very similar progression. I’m just 20years ahead of you. You need to ask the team that manages your tpn for the name of a dentist familiar with tpn preferably or one that treats patients with eating disorders. Many whitening treatments harm tooth enamel. Never ever brush your teeth for at least an hour after vomiting or drinking soda. The acid softens your enamel and brushing while it’s soft actually harms it. Never brush your teeth more than twice a day. Tpn is not 100% nutritionally complete. It is a great option when nothing else is working, but long term you will start to get deficiencies. The same type of thing that made your iron low cans happen with vitamin D and calcium. Once you have osteoporosis it’s hard to stay on top of it while on tpn. Some people get more cavities, but the biggest problem is your teeth and jaw will will become brittle. Once that happens, your teeth will start to break from just trying to chew. More than once my dentist was fixing one tooth only to accidentally bump another tooth and have it break off. We finally had to make a very difficult decision and remove all of my teeth. Even that wasn’t a cure all and pieces of my jaw bone continued to break off for over a year. I now have full upper and lower dentures for cosmetic reasons , but there is not enough healthy jaw bone left for them to fit properly and even strong denture adhesives aren’t enough for me to be able to chew food. I like you had yellow lung from GP and vomiting and didn’t realize that combined with tpn shouldn’t ever be treated with over the counter tooth whiteners. By the the time I saw a dentist because nothing was working well anymore, it was too late to save my teeth. Some dentists here will professionally whiten your teeth and then use dental sealants to prolong the life of your teeth while on tpn, so definitely get in with someone for a consult as soon as you can.

Mast cell activation disorders are so poorly understood by the medical community and there is very little research going on in regards to MCAS right now.
