Metal and Wood Outdoor Storage Enclosure | JIMBO'S GARAGE

- I built this industrial outdoor metal and wood storage enclosure shed to match some existing storage enclosures the client had.

The clients uses these for BBQ and smoker storage and use. That is why there is no roof on it, so all of the smoke can escape. I built this out of 3 inch square tube and some wood from Home Depot. I used the HTP Mig 2400 to weld this together. There was a lot of pieces and it was very difficult to keep this whole thing square by myself. This is a great outdoor storage solution for anyone needing something big and industrial looking.

About Jimbo's Garage:
Jimbo's Garage is a channel to see cool metal welding and wood projects. - Навчання та стиль
Really great. Thanks mate. It is great to see another non-pro fabricator being honest about the difficulties they have in setting up.
My best compliments, Jimbo. I really like your work. I've been following you for some time and I'm learning a lot of things looking at you. Many greetings from Naples, Italy.
This is one of my Top 5 favorite channels on UA-cam
Looks great! That was a fantastic job matching with the existing enclosures. I learned from watching you fabricate it, thanks for the video.
Great project Jim. It gave me an idea for a bike rack enclosure that I want to have done at my four-plex so my tenants can secure their bikes. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like a great job to me. Thanks for the video JIMBO.
I just found this channel and it's awesome! Jimbo is a great host too!
This metal framing will last till the restaurant isn’t t there anymore. The polyurethane won’t last a year though Jimbo! If you go back and scuff sand it it and throw some spar urethane on it (3-4 coats) the wood will get 3-4. Using this finish will also help protect the zinc coated carriage bolts, washers, and nuts you used so they don’t rust. Now, can you teach me how to weld cuz I am bad!
Jim, what a great project. Thats how i grew the business - always bite a bigger chunk off than you really feel comfortable with .... so next time around its always bigger and better.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for all your support and what you do Peter! Jimbo!
ZILA you ain't earning if u ain't burning ... go weld something , make that money...

Nice 👍
Nice job

Nice job sir
good job
Вроде все просто,но офигенно! 👍
Grinding welds flush perfectly fine you just got to make sure you put a bevel at the joint
not if it had good penetration.
Su trabajo es muy inspirador para mi...
Man you just get a new suscriber. Amazing work !
Thanks for watching Jose, Jimbo!
Es usted un genio...
This is nuts lol. Yes lots of them
As a Californian myself, my first thoughts were - wow, with a garage that size this guy must be out in the Midwest. Then the Anaheim Packing House shows up first thing in the intro...Jimbo and his construction company must be doing well for themselves!
Nice
Jim look up Fireball tools....i had same problem as you with aligning legs etc.....and the big belly in the way lol. Bought some of his big square jigs & man i have to tell you these things are worth every penny.
So many more applications for these things.
Luv the shot of street running freight train too .

What do you like to use to core the concrete for the posts?
Just found your channel and subbed.
Professional jobs
I use the dewalt cobalt bits .they hold very well, I use ratchet straps as well. never seem to be able to find a helper LOL. have a great and safe new years eve.
Спасибо за видео.
Pretty cool project!!! And honestly man for your sake you should really start getting the mill scale off of your seams and add a slight bevel on this structural stuff and it’d make the welding much easier and especially the ones that are getting sanded flush cause you’re still getting good penetration without grinding the majority of the weld off. And a suggestion for moving heavy stuff like this build you some dully’s out of a piece of 1/2” plate about 18”x18” and put some casters on it and it will make situations like this a lot easier on you
How did you get this thing primed and painted? Spray can's in the garage?
Привет из России. Руки растут откуда надо. И , да, отличный гараж)
Have you tried the DeWalt Extreme 2 drillbit? I am totally in love with them.
Thanks for watching Tomas, I'm sure i have but i will check them out next time i good to the home depot! Jimbo!
Great job Jimbo! What are you using to take that much milk scale off? Or are you just painting over it? Thanks! Bill
cut the corner out of your square and it fits right over your welds for checking inside 90s. nice job!
Thanks for watching Brandon, good advise i think i will do that to one of my squares. Jimbo!
Is this wood good for exteriors? Thanks!
Them fireball tool squares would have been handy for ya here!

Could be an interesting build and a great video.
Have a Jesus filled day
Greg in Michigan
Thanks for your support Greg, Yes a gantry perhaps! Jimbo!
I saw you using ratchet straps... I used to do that until one bust me in the face due to long term use, I use chain binders (forget professional name) but they pretty much hold my projects plum, check em out to see if they could work for ya
Nice work jumbo! Nothing wrong with heavy duty!!
Did you paint it? And how’d the paint last when moving it
Thanks for watching , See i painted it, It transported good very little damage on the paint, Jimbo!
Nice vid! Thanks for sharing. What did you end up using for paint/finish on the metal?
Thanks for watching, painted. Jimbo!
روعه 👍 👌 من لعراق 👍 روعه عاشت ايدك استمر من لعراق 👍 👍 👌 👏 👏
Turned out nice as a deterrent . But for extra security you might have added expanded metal to the inside of the wood siding. A quick chainsaw would open that thing up as it sits :)
Ron Hart yes i agree. And concrete anchor it down as a quick tow truck could have taken the entire cage ... or even better position an armed guard 24/7 in front of it.
But all kidden aside - i run into similar things all the time - the customer wants me to match existing, and an additional few hundred dollar already put the project out of budget ....
But seriously - chainsaw?
I mean i am not saying that it cant happen - but granted - a guy walking with a chainsaw around through the city would for sure have to answer a lot of questions where i come from ....
Jimbo you do some great work!!! I wanna get into some fabrication type work. Do you have any advice for a rookie fabricator like my self?
Thanks for watching Waker, Just keep practicing!!! Jimbo!
You should do a video on how you advertise and get welding work? How did you get your name out there?
Hey mate, Just wondering why you pack your drop saw vice with a small piece of square tube (Seen at min 4:13) and not put the material being cut right up against the back of the vice?
Thanks for watching, I do that so i get the material i'm cutting right under the middle of the blade. Jimbo!
Great Job Jimbo! Excellent video! where do you purchase your steel? I didnt realize you were a SoCal guy, I live just up the freeway from you in Simi Valley. Keep doing those excellent videos.
Thanks for watching Brady, Yes, Im in the O.C. I get my metal at Schorr metal and King metal. Jimbo!
