As a fresher SDE in gurgaon these are my monthly expenses : 1. Single room in a good PG(Rent+Food+Wifi AC and all basic facilities and near office) = 18k 2. Gym + diet = 5k 3. Travel + Parties = 5k 4. Subscriptions + electricity bill = 2k Adding some miscellaneous expenses(buying stuff etc) the total is around 35k per month. For a person earning 75k pm i guess its a bit high but then i believe this gives me motivation to work harder and earn more. Advices and opinions from experienced seniors is always welcome.
You’re saving 40K per month disposable income, you’re doing great. Move up to 100K-ish and you’re basically set for life. Save up, buy a house, or a car or go on a vacation.

Rent: 18000 Groceries: 3000 Personal (travel, badminton, food outside): 3000 Sending money to home: 10000 Cook: 2000 Gas and Electricity: 1000 NGO donation: 1000 Internet broadband and mobile: 1000 So around 40k is a necessity to live in Pune. The rest I spend on making emergency funds and insurance. After this emergency fund, will invest in different places. I live in a good society (Blue Ridge) in Hinejewadi Pune so here rent and groceries are expensive, the reason is the office is very near. You can also live away in PG, shared flats, and can reduce the amounts. Hope this will be helpful for those who will come here.😀😀
