People criticising this woman need to understand that 15 years is a very long time to be hunted by someone. Stalking is simply a kinder way to state what it is. She is viewed by her predator as his prey and she has been aware of this for a long time. She is choosing her words very carefully because she would not wish to accidentally say something that her stalker may misconstrue as encouragement for his actions. Also with trauma many memories run into each other and it takes a lot of energy to recall exact moments in time, in an effort to explain stuff clearly. Compassion is what this woman needs, not judgement.
So for ten minutes no law enforcement intervention and she can't release this individual's real name? Why would she protect this individual still instead of making it more legitimate releasing the actual identity? Fake news!
More like stop forcing people into relationship that they do not want with the threat of them not being "polite". So they fear that they will be judged. It is sick and kills people! Raise children to have self respect!
I think she had a lot of empathy for him because she is also a little socially nervous and can understand being off putting to people. I am too, so I try to evaluate some ones "field of intentions". As it were. I have no idea why I am posting this?
I agree, I'm glad you posted this not only is it insightful but it's way more unique than the tons of comments complaining about how negative the comment section is.
Yeah I can relate, I tend to feel bad for people who get excluded from social situations because I feel like that person could be me. But sometimes I end up regretting trying to befriend such people.
Is it just me or do they usually end up ppl that won’t respect your boundaries? I wonder if there’s a correlation between the person being excluded socially and them overstepping their boundaries with ppl that show them attention?
Children needs to be raised with self awareness. To listen to their guts. There is a difference between being shy and being actually off. The first one is just a reaction and the second one is a red flag.

Comments are absolutely disgusting. I know what it's like trying to just be nice to someone who doesn't deserve it. It's a tactic used for protection to avoid big ugly situations. You never know how a stranger would react, so you speak with a calm tone of voice with words to match. It helps me feel like I'm in control of the situation. I've been stalked home, online multiple times, had personal numbers posted on adult sites. So much blame for not just blocking him, even though she did, it did not stop him. The first stalker I had I cussed out daily for breathing down my neck while walking home from middle school. He would walk directly behind me home because he knew it bothered me. I'd push him away or run and he would not leave me alone. Yet the school listened to him first when he said I was a bully because he had mental health issues, the female coach said in a tone as if I was supposed to forgive him instantly for that. I've met 4 people in my life fully hiding behind their mental illness to get away with stalking and sexual harassment and they got away every time. If you stay quiet, later people complain why you didn't do it earlier. If you're vocal, everyone nitpicks each detail on how they would have done better in your situation. Like dealing with stalkers is supposed to be natural for everybody.
Well she talk slow and too much aaah.. ahh.. ohh..ahh, nothing wrong with that if thats the way she talk, maybe she is nervous, but Meghan need to direct/ control the show, the time, seconds count in this kind of show
I had a guy try to stalk me. I feel horrible, but I had to have my brother threaten violence to the person to get him to stop. I’m just grateful it worked honestly.
Unfortunately, it can also prompt them to up the ante and do it moreso. Even if you report it to law enforcement, some have the , IDK if it’s arrogance and entitlement or a real mental illness, to thumb their nose and that and continue.
Never ever give away your strategy to your stalker. No contact is no contact, no exception. This is nothing but domestic terrorism. I thank this woman for speaking up and sharing her experience.

You don’t have to imagine there plenty of people being gangstalked through community watch, and other community policing tactics. It’s real and everyone participates because they’re told lies and told the person needs to be watched because he or she may be a danger to himself or others
I was 15 and had a very intense obsessive stalker at highschool who turned dangerous. Thankfully the police took it seriously. Then a few years after I had another. Now as a 29 year old , I have a hyper awareness of everyone around me in every area I am in. It never leaves you

megyn kelly shows here just how bad she is at interviewing. generic questions, generic comments with minimal insight. she should just say. hi, tell us your story. awful.
Why are people making fun of her? She’s been stalked for 15 YEARS. Of course she’s not going to be comfortable talking about this.. and the people pointing out her hair and how she spoke just really irritate me!
A graduate teaching assistant started stalking my daughter when she was a freshman. After about 6 weeks she called me one night saying she didn't think she could go to class (where he was lecturing) the following morning. I told her not to go and to send me copies of the text messages and emails he was sending her. I contacted the office of student affairs the next day (Monday), and told them instead of my daughter I'd be the one at his next lecture and would deal with the situation myself if they couldn't. He was never heard from again. Sometimes a dad just needs to handle things in that way only a dad is willing to do.
I’ve been stalked and it’s not a good feeling. I made it clear that I did not want anything to do with them. I said NO unapologetically because people like that are manipulative, deceptive, and dangerous.
I'm being stalked, followed by a neighbor. I'm almost 60 years old. I want people to know that stalkers destroy your life. I wake up everyday having to figure out how to live the the day. I no longer have the freedom to come and go as I please. I can never be alone in nature. Walking from my home to my car feels life threatening. Just last night I received a notification on my phone that I have an unknown Apple Airtag on my car. I was food shopping and had to call the police. I have to spend my money on a scanner, motion detector lights, weapons...... My life does not exist really, not any more. I'm just trying to survive.
Stalkers are scary, be it physical stalking or cyber stalking. It's uncomfortable and very unsettling. I've been stalked for many years and I am sick and tried of my privacy being invaded. And yes, police isin't always helpful and you don't know who to turn to for help.
Flumadiddle ..... this lady in the video has no clue how to really communicate I guess she's really nervous and she doesn't really know how to communicate she totally blew it by accepting him on Facebook she seems really weak and I think her stalker really likes that I have a stalker now of 17 years and if somebody interviewed me I would really give the real details this girl is barely telling the interviewer what's going on, what's really going on
I totally agree with you. She seems to not be able to get her thoughts out through speaking. She may be more comfortable with writing instead. Gosh, I'm nervous for her and she was all over the place with her story.
I will appear mean, rude and crude a million times before I find myself in this situation! My mother raised us to speak our minds and not be afraid of what others think! Follow your gut instinct because it’s always right
Alot of people don't take stalking seriously. When I was stalked all i kept hearing was " Oh, he really likes you. Why are you being so standoffish? You just blocking your blessing." Nevermind the fact that he was making me uncomfortable. When he escalated everything changed to "OMG! That mf crazy!" I knew that already!!! Geeze!
Women dont owe men any attention just coz they force their attention on them. This is harrassment n bullying. But if someone just wants to pick a fight with u, dont run away from the fight. Fight them. And I mean confront them in a physical fight.
She is sensing her struggle to express herself and is merely helping out to get the interview going forward. One can be a great writer/journalist and not be comfortable in front of a camera knowing a large audience is watching you.
i didn't say megan was the cringy one, this interview on a whole was cringy. and there should be other ways to help an interview move along without sounding condescending. i felt no ounce of empathy from her and i saw it again with another interview. she has the personality of a news anchor who should remain neutral. having a morning talk show isn't for her then
One of the worst parts about stalking is that it’s SO INTRUSIVE and yet SO INTANGIBLE. Proving you’re being stalked involves getting the authorities to understand the state of mind of the perpetrator instead of their actions. Police don’t think things like a note on a car, a knife in your front yard, a person frequenting YOUR WORKPLACE when they have no business being in that town, or a person on YOUR campus where they have NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER in being there is a problem; but it’s how they operate. It’s them sending you a message that they’re always there. I’m not sure if police and law enforcement have a unified and effective protocol on how to deal with it.
Yup my first stalker stalked me to uni. He even took a course just to be there and would spread rumours about me. I reported him to the campus but they said they couldn't do anything because technically he wasn't breaking any laws. Six years later he turned up "out of the blue" (probably still covertly following me the whole time) to harass me once more. And now I'm being openly and covertly stalked by the last man I knew and his little harem of blondes. There's also a guy I rejected in the past who appears to troll me and obsessively cyberstalk me. And a girl I hardly knew who used to bully me. And then someone else who is probably an undiagnosed psychopath. Needless to say, there's been a lot of stalkers. Apparently I am "blessed" with an endless supply. Now I have mental health issues, probably largely from all the stress and trauma that being stalked by multiple individuals has caused me. I am now chronically on guard and hyper aware of my surroundings. And when I'm stressed I'm more likely to hallucinate. The long term effects of being "hunted" can actually be mental illness, which just compounds the horrors you're already dealing with.
I pray that she gets the peace that she deserves after enduring that kind of psychological trauma it's taken a toll on her as it would any of us too. So proud of these women for speaking up about this and how we clearly need to stop being people pleasers! It's ok to be rude sometimes or basically it's ok to have boundaries and we don't have to feel bad/guilty about it! It's ok to tell someone that they are making you feel uncomfortable.
Try dealing with an ex who harassed the people around you to isolate and sabotage you. Everyone worries about how it affects them. Forget the fact that they aren't even the target. I am SICK OF IT!
I feel so bad for her, having to put up with such an ongoing issue would be awful. I'm so pleased that she & her family are able to now put this behind them 🙏🏽
I’ve never had a problem being rude to someone who made me feel uncomfortable. I’ve always listened to my gut, if there are red flags, my safety is infinitely more important than his comfort level.
Treat women with respect and also respect their privacy. And she wasn't being rude at all. She had a stalker for 15 years and now she has people staring at her and cameras are in her face she's nervous give her a break she's a human that's been through something that no one should go through.
You can tell by the way she sits, uptight, thats shes on guard and scared. The interviewer sits relaxed with her shoulders down. This is real. I had one sending me letters for 22 years and it was another woman! Although she had a family and children, she still kept sendiing me letters.
Article: Early one evening last March, my best friend saw my name pop up in a text notification on her phone. The message, which appeared to come from my gmail account, read: “felt a bit sad today about how I never made any friends at Emory during my time there. Not one. god I’m a loser. all I’ve got is my hair lol.” She called me as soon as she got home from work. “Are you okay?” “What? Yeah, everything’s fine,” I answered. She told me about the text, but even as she spoke we realized what had happened.“Ugh,” I said. “It’s Danny.” My cyberstalker had struck again, this time with a spot on impersonation of me and my neuroses.
The stalker doesn't necessarily have to be violent. I was stalked for at least 8 years or so, who knows if my stalker is still watching. He used to leave notes and knives around my place. Thank good the last time he left knives was August 2016!!!
Did you call the police? They can do a DNA test on the notes and knives if you don't touch them yourself. You could get a good restraining order against him and probably some money to pay for your trauma at the psychologist (do that if possible, every dime helps).
I have a problem with some people I don't even know personally who have been stalking me for about that long. It's almost impossible to get the police to do anything about it. We need better laws for dealing with this problem.
I have had multiple stalking situations, most often from people I had been in close relationships with that ended. An ex-husband waited for me to get off work and followed me every night. I drove on backroads until I lost him. An ex-boyfriend locked me a room in our house for several hours when I came to get the last of my belongings. I stayed calm and repeatedly tried to reason with him until he released me on the promise of giving him another chance. I said what I had to. He never got another chance. Still, I never reported it because I didn't think it would do any good. I have a friend who was murdered by her stalker who she had a restraining order against. My point is simply that most people probably don't report, and the benefit of reporting is questionable.
I got stalked in my college days... it got to be terrifying so I had to move to the other side of the city. That helped a lot. Keeping a fake name on social media helps as well.
I had a stalker for two years!!! It's terrible .....its the fact it goes on and on and on ........the police do nothing it should be taken more seriously!!! It destroys you!!!
I know and you become paranoid about everything :/ and then when you notice weird stuff other people think its too crazy to be true but some people are really like that.Mine would dress very differently each time to try and help disguise him, even once trying to disguise himself as a Muslim woman though it was a very poor disguise.I could see a man's figure and recognised his gait and beard and everything.I know it sounds kind of funny but also very disturbing what extents someone will go to.
use Battery operated GAME CAMERAS - around your property. They are wireless and camouflaged - can NOT see them - $120/each. angle them so if he steals one - another camera will catch him doing it. But chances of it being seen - slim.
Stalkers will escalate their behavior. Some victims do not survive the harassment. But, please always speak out when this is happening to you. Never remain silent.
I don’t think she was right when she said sometimes you need to be rude. I think she means assertive. You can be assertive, confident and a straight forward without being rude. It’s just a stigma, especially for women, that assertive means rude or that they go hand in hand. But it’s not if you are mature and assertive.
TODAY - being stalked by a man is the worst thing that has ever happened personally as a person, to me. When someone stalks you, they will never stop stalking you. Stalking , there is only one way stocking will end. Death by the stalker your death or the stalkers death.
Our protection is up to us. I own several guns and learned how to use them and be safe with them. No one gets in my bedroom without me waking up and taking my stance. I recommend an add-a-lock for the bedroom door, or any door really. It might not stop them, but it will wake you up if someone's trying to get in. I want a chance to live.
This is creepy...i actually had a similar experience, which exploded a couple nights ago. This guy has me on edge and makes me extremely nervous even after I confronted him and blocked him. The fear of the unknown.. after listening to this, I've realized there's more red flags than I knew of before.
She is saying that she confronted him and that she is scared of the unknown. The police won’t do anything unless she can prove that he has done something to harm her.
Same here, he was acting polite and respectful but was pushing boundaries carefully so I was allowing it as I wanted to be nice. We don't have contact in 2 months now. Hope I won't meet him by accident.

Well said :)
So for ten minutes no law enforcement intervention and she can't release this individual's real name? Why would she protect this individual still instead of making it more legitimate releasing the actual identity? Fake news!
Look what it did to Lady Diana.
@@adamkaufman7323 wTAF is wrong with you?
The big issue with stalking is that law enforcement don’t take it seriously. A woman can be in grave danger and they will do nothing.
I agree
Yes. They take stalkers seriously but not the victims of it. It's absurd.
That's cause they do it too
This.
Moral of the Story: When people seem "off".....leave them alone. Stop befriending Psychos in the name of compassion. They're sick.
Especially the one's that black face, that is completely sick
Amen
AMEN
More like stop forcing people into relationship that they do not want with the threat of them not being "polite". So they fear that they will be judged.
It is sick and kills people!
Raise children to have self respect!
I mean, she was 12 years old. Can't really expect her to have had insight on this at such a young age.
I really wish Megyn Kelley would shut up and let her guests talk. 😤
I know. She's like a young Nancy Grace
I think she was purposely giving her guest some breathing time
megan is horrible at interviews... let the girl tell her story!

@@erinflorida2081 Did her show get cancelled? I don't watch TV, so I didn't realize after was fired.
I think she had a lot of empathy for him because she is also a little socially nervous and can understand being off putting to people. I am too, so I try to evaluate some ones "field of intentions". As it were.
I have no idea why I am posting this?
I agree,
I'm glad you posted this not only is it insightful
but it's way more unique than the tons of comments complaining about how negative the comment section is.
The first one is just a reaction and the second one is a red flag.
guys - give her a break - she alludes to her shyness at the git go. this is national TV -the producers should have prepped her better.
Prepped her how? Megyn Kelly is a racist and was condemned by NAACP? How could you support either of them? www.thewrap.com/naacp-tells-megyn-kelly-check-blackface-always-racist-never-ok/

Why is everyone commenting about Roni so negatively? She’s been traumatized. Leave her alone.
She played a nasty prank on me and called out Megyn Kelly on black face. Everyone should be laughing
She’s beautiful.
Finally a positive comment about her. I'm shocked at how many negative comments there are about nothing.

No offense, I don't think she likes to see such comments. You know, considering her experience with creepy messages
She Ugly
I think she had an anxiety attack, that's why she was blocked and couldn't talk.

I would also be anxious if the presenter kept interrupting me

I worked private duty for a year as I knew he'd be looking for me at all the hospitals & nursing homes.....by then he'd moved on....probably to a new victim. Eventually he died from his drinking.
Nicki nurse I am so glad you are free now. I hope that I will be someday free from this. Mine is still doing after many years and I look foward for the day I can have privacy again.

alexandra what does this have to do with my comment
allergra asberry stay mad
Megan Polkasnic couldn’t have said it any better. Also, you are so strong and you deserve to be heard
Or dealing with racists just gets them the boot

I had a guy try to stalk me. I feel horrible, but I had to have my brother threaten violence to the person to get him to stop. I’m just grateful it worked honestly.
How was he allowed to terrorize her for 15 years?!?! How horrible for her.
Telling a stalker that you'll take legal action if he continues to pursue you isn't being "rude": it's being direct, uncompromising and strong.
Unfortunately, it can also prompt them to up the ante and do it moreso. Even if you report it to law enforcement, some have the , IDK if it’s arrogance and entitlement or a real mental illness, to thumb their nose and that and continue.
What if that enrages him or her and they decide to do a murder suicide? What then?
Never ever give away your strategy to your stalker. No contact is no contact, no exception. This is nothing but domestic terrorism. I thank this woman for speaking up and sharing her experience.
Contrary to opinion.. I feel she described her traumatic experience very well -she spoke from her heart this wasn’t scripted

I can't imagine what it would be like to suffer from being stalked for such a long time. I applaud Roni's bravery to share her story and help raise our awareness to this very serious problem.
You don’t have to imagine there plenty of people being gangstalked through community watch, and other community policing tactics. It’s real and everyone participates because they’re told lies and told the person needs to be watched because he or she may be a danger to himself or others
Yes I’m in my 6th yr and he won’t go away. I just keep living my life. It appears I’m his life….
I was 15 and had a very intense obsessive stalker at highschool who turned dangerous. Thankfully the police took it seriously.
Then a few years after I had another. Now as a 29 year old , I have a hyper awareness of everyone around me in every area I am in. It never leaves you

Why are people making fun of her? She’s been stalked for 15 YEARS. Of course she’s not going to be comfortable talking about this.. and the people pointing out her hair and how she spoke just really irritate me!
Yeah that makes no sense.
The point is about her story so why focusing on her looks?
(she is beautiful by the way so those people are just garbage)
A graduate teaching assistant started stalking my daughter when she was a freshman. After about 6 weeks she called me one night saying she didn't think she could go to class (where he was lecturing) the following morning. I told her not to go and to send me copies of the text messages and emails he was sending her. I contacted the office of student affairs the next day (Monday), and told them instead of my daughter I'd be the one at his next lecture and would deal with the situation myself if they couldn't. He was never heard from again. Sometimes a dad just needs to handle things in that way only a dad is willing to do.
I can’t imagine being stalked let alone being stalked from childhood all the way to adulthood, smh. I feel for this women.
I am so sorry, I Hope the situation got anyhow better?
I am so sorry! I really hope you can get the help you deserve
Stalkers are scary, be it physical stalking or cyber stalking. It's uncomfortable and very unsettling. I've been stalked for many years and I am sick and tried of my privacy being invaded. And yes, police isin't always helpful and you don't know who to turn to for help.
How tf do you even have time to stalk someone that much.
Such people are maniacs, I am being stalked every day at the workplace by jealous people who know of what happened. Such people are not human.
it’s called jealousy you have something they don’t. Otherwise why else would they waste anytime on u
They dont have anything interesting going on in their life...talentless individual....
Boredom. No life of your own. So if your life doesn't have much going on...they make it their full time job to destroy someone else's.
My thoughts exactly..
Sometimes being rude provokes them making things worse.

This is uncomfortable to watch.
Flumadiddle .

Stuff like this scares me so much. There's a lot of wacko's out there.
Not as many as you would think actually. By the way, I love your new couch.
i don't like megan's condescending tone. it's quite cringy to watch
She is sensing her struggle to express herself and is merely helping out to get the interview going forward. One can be a great writer/journalist and not be comfortable in front of a camera knowing a large audience is watching you.
Megan is a buffoon. Fox hired her. They don't like intelligent people, surely not intelligent women.
My thoughts too ;) Megan was just trying to help it move along.
i didn't say megan was the cringy one, this interview on a whole was cringy. and there should be other ways to help an interview move along without sounding condescending. i felt no ounce of empathy from her and i saw it again with another interview. she has the personality of a news anchor who should remain neutral. having a morning talk show isn't for her then

Poor lady is so traumatized it's still hard for her to talk . I hope she finds peace soon...
That “not me” on the dark skinned lady at the far right on 5:04 killed me 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍 YAS GIRL
I am SICK OF IT!
wow..
I feel so bad for her, having to put up with such an ongoing issue would be awful.
I'm so pleased that she & her family are able to now put this behind them 🙏🏽
The way she communicates, I can tell she is traumatized. I know exactly what she's going through. You feel like there is no end in sight.
Yes great observation. We are lucky she is alive to tell the tale.
I’ve never had a problem being rude to someone who made me feel uncomfortable. I’ve always listened to my gut, if there are red flags, my safety is infinitely more important than his comfort level.
Me too. I can turn rude girl on in a second with no remorse.

I don't want to type it out. Google it.
“Are you okay?”
“What?
You could get a good restraining order against him and probably some money to pay for your trauma at the psychologist (do that if possible, every dime helps).
knowlight knowright Get several guns AND know how to use them. He may return and it could be a dangerous confrontation.
Nah that usually ends up just so wrong... Her in jail or her dead...
Knives?!? Jesus that’s terrifying.
knowlight knowright he might have needed help with cutting a cake or a cheese wheel lmao
Why isn't stalking taken more seriously?
Stalking sounds boring. They must have a lot of free time. I can't imagine caring about anyone enough to do that.
I have a feeling Megan is rude a lot lol

Classy girl! I'm glad she came forward!
I had "ghosted" him, and he came back to haunt...literally!!
