The fact that the first time she saw him she hugged him. She had to see nothing but him crying. What a loving woman. She didn't deserve to get assaulted like that, but she really made the best out of it.
When I was a couple minutes into this story, I was getting filled with anger and wishing that the cops had barged in and killed this kid. I've been the victim of an attack something like this, and had a lot of pain in my life like many do. But after hearing Mandy talk and then meeting the young man and hearing the story, it started to melt some of the ice around my heart and by the end of the story I was so glad it turned out the way it did. Seeing the relief and the gratefulness on his parents faces really got to me. Above all else, Mandy is an incredible human being and it's strictly because of her that he had a second chance at life. Amazing story.

Inspirational story. He was a remarkable man prior to that incident, he deserved Mandy's compassion. Good for him coming forward to share his part of the story and shedding some light on the dangers of drug use. When I was a teen I started taking it to escape my life. He's 100% telling the truth. I had the most horrific episodes, & very dangerous situations. Even when I came down I thought the trip was life & everyone hsd been replaced by "them" & this world was real. I had flashbacks for a long time & couldn't be in a place with too many people.
LSD can be an amazing substance, there's a reason why so many people have been inspired by it. Almost nobody becomes violent on it, nor would you not realize when the trio ends. It's not for everybody, but I can't stand people spreading misinformation or scare tactics.

I'm not convinced this is an "act of forgiveness". This was an upstanding young man who made a big mistake (taking drugs) you which his body had a violent reaction. He is genuinely remorseful. She didn't hold it against him. It might have ended very differently if he didn't have remorse.

I took acid back in high school and a few times after high school.
I was sooooo fxcked up I literally didn't know what was going on. I thought I was driving one time when I wasn't and I thought I had shrunk to a mouse size and it was raining and flooding in my driveway and I thought there were sharks in the street and I thought the neighbors house was a pirate ship.
Then I laid in the street to escape a monster (*another time) and when I was taken inside I tried to dig thru the wall to another dimension.
So when this guy says he felt like he was going insane & have completely irrational thoughts, I fully believe it.

Mary Thomy It's important to understand that it's the easiest thing in the world for a psychopath to appear perfectly normal, and to make ordinary decent people believe in them.
It's not beyond the realms of possibility that this individual could do the exact same thing again, only next time with fatal consequences. It's happened before, it can happen again.

Everything happens just the way it’s meant to. I’m crying over here because we all know what could have happened to this mans life. She needs him in her life and seeing the father cry just indicates the grace he feels from all of this.

I tried lsd once and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. How anyone gets addicted to that drug just baffles me. It's sucks

What a difference this video can make in so many peoples lives… I love her outlook and comment at the end about how the most important thing is your own state of mind and how you choose to overcome some of the worst things that can happen to you in life.
Isn’t it crazy some places you have to prove that you are in danger to own a gun, meanwhile police just seem to keep standing outside of doors while people are being brutally attacked.

Two things: LSD is a vicious drug, especially when tainted, and I hope this guy dumped his lousy friends.
C. T. LSD is a wonderful drug. Except when it’s tainted, or you take too much to handle. That’s just people being irresponsible and not testing their stuff, or not getting it from a reputable source.
Most likely it was PCP he was given, not LSD. Anyone familiar with acid would not consider it a vicious drug. its is not addictive and does not known to promote violent behavior. Everything he describes is indicative of PCP, a cheaper drug. Unless he was drug tested he wouldn't know the difference

I’m not sure if she did it for Jesus. I think she did it for herself. Because anger doesn’t hurt anyone but yourself. And then when you let that anger control and consume you it hurts the people around and closest to you. I’m not trying to offend you though. You are allowed to believe what you believe and want!
God never left him even drugged. This was a physical and spiritual battle. And God won. In the end, forgiveness is the very reason Jesus went to the cross for all the bad we have done.
@@ilsaneumann3726 she was able to do it because of Jesus. When Jesus was crucified He cried out "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." This lady understands and receives the forgiveness that comes from Jesus. In turn, she was able to also extend forgiveness to this dude.

That just because of your religion does not mean you should forgive. I have had some bad experiences and I forgave but I am not very religious. That is what I mean. Have a nice day!

This is one brave woman. I can't imagine sitting next to someone that did to what he did to anyone not just me. He is also a brave young man, who admits his mistakes and asks forgiveness!!

The so called “friends” that offered him the laced LSD cocktail did not have good intentions, they were not his friends. I hope they have come to terms with the role they played in this situation and do better.

Wow, what a beautiful and lovely woman. When she recovered from her injuries she truly blossomed into something beautiful. It's extremely difficult to forgive someone who has physically abused you. She realized that the young man was not in his right frame of mind. I hope that he will clean up his act and never take drugs again.
Now he knows who is his true friend is. Those people were not his friends. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow I was stunned by this horrific and equally beautiful story. This one woman’s ability to forgive changed the path for this young man. He could have easily been lost in our never forgiving and failing rehabilitating prison system. Thank you both of them for letting us into their lives and showing us what true forgiveness as courage looks like in a time when it’s easier to just let the authorities make decisions for us. Follow your heart and believe in kindness and it will take the win. Definitely easier said than done!
I feel like she looked at a life that was so good in him because of the reason he did what he did being on the drug...she healed herself and thought about what would be basically the end of his real life....I really believe that I would have done the same thing....bless them both
They young man had a bright future. He wasn't himself and I'm glad she was able to forgive so she could become who she was created to be. There is an internal narrative that words can't explain for me this is beyond forgiveness. It has to do with destiny, change , healing.
