I love overlanders. Not because it brings out the spirit of exploration or adventure, but because they bring and do the wildest shit I've ever seen on these expeditions. Airing down the tires to drive on compact dirt trails and busting out a kitchen trailer the size of my entire camper... and a big ass wok!
Just pulled the trigger on a Green works unit from Costco .😮Wish I waited. The deciding factor was that it came with a 50ft Uber flex style hose. Nice to see competitors in the U.S. market.
1 hr? Sheeesh... thats Hella lotion.. This was dope! I'm gonna have my 1st long trip with people I never met in September... all OD green 4runners.. TRD PROs !! 5 rigs .. all over Oregon too!
I have lived in the Central Oregon Cascades along the Oregon BDR for 25 years. Central, and Southeastern Oregon is our back yard. I always wonder why everyone has to drive so fast to put in 100 to 150 miles each day? I believe in starting latter, stopping sooner and driving slower. We can stop and smell the sage brush and explore the side trails. Tents and roof top tents can be a bummer due to the constant winds in this area. I was camping on Alvord Desert once and we had constant 40 mph winds from the SW all night. We just returned home from a trip to Anderson's Crossing in the Owyhee area. It turned out to be the week before pronghorn season. I enjoyed talking to the hunters looking for trophy pronghorns. Generally in the spring it is the juniper pollen to takes most people down, and now in the late summer it is rabbit brush.
We need more 4k shots of trunk opening, ladder and tent popping. lol. The last one when you opened the trunk pulled out a Yoo-hoo was such a tease. Then right at the end, in cinematic glory, the ladder extends once more. Glorious. 🪜
Looks like a great trip and people. One thought maybe stick to talking or subtitles I missed many subtitles as they were filled in here and there and often matched the back ground. Second, maybe more scenic shots and less shots of your buttocks while opening your tailgate and drawers 3-4x’s 😂
Go there in the Fall (Oct). Catch the popping Aspens, barely any flying vampires or nope ropes, and cooler temps. Also, I don't seem to have any issues with my rediculous alergies in the Fall out there. Probably due to less pollination going on then. However, there is a greater chance for rain, snow and some freezing temps around that time of year.
fantastic video, i really enjoyed that one. the shot from the drone on all the rigs in a line at the desert looked so cool. looked like something out of a mad max movie😅 anyway your video has really inspired me to take a solo trip with my 2016 4runner soon. I normally do a few solo trips a year but have been so busy doing other things. keep up the great work, and be safe out there.
allergies... man i feel ya. my family and me have outdoor allergies and thats the only reason we dont camp as much. are you from Texas by chance ? most of us here have some sort of outdoor allergies.
Thanks for sharing! Do you have any plans to install new off-road lights on your truck? Novsight would love to sponsor you with the lighting sets you need! Looking forward to your email reply ❤
I, and I'm sure many others, have been travelling the backcountry of SE Oregon and Northern Nevada anonymously for many years. Why do people now seek attention and notoriety for this. Maybe many of the high desert's secrets should remain well kept. It would be tragic for some of these places to start seeing increased traffic and end up like so many of the places in Utah, Colorado, and such, that have become overrun. The rebranding of these sorts of activities as "overlanding", and the explosion of related consumer products, has created a glamour and allure that draws previously uninterested people in for dubious reasons. Reasons much different than what mostly drove people to remote desert locations in the past, the seeking of solitude and communion with the natural world. An experience that could become increasingly threatened by peoples dissatisfaction with remaining anonymous.
If it ‘bothers’ you, then you probably don’t want to follow my journey! Totally normal part of camping as everybody does it. It’s also a big part of what I do in every video so 🤷♂️ thanks for your concern tho!

Phones and drones in the wilderness! Don't forget the propane fireplaces and fancy kitchens.

Love the video and your overall content as always. By the way, what are the song codes for? Like where can I use them, etc.?
Cheers from Canada.
Cheers, thank you! The song codes are just to show I have licenses for each song used in the film. I personally use SoundStripe!
i live out here , and know MUCH better kept secrets , but i ain't tellin'
Epic content bro. I live in Bend, lets collab. i have a few ideas already.
Man....the freakin views😮
Some of the best I’ve seen 👀
Can you share the route somehow?

good Car Camping 😄
From an Oregonian, I think you may need to call this Oregon’s worst keep secret 😂
Yo sé que en un futuro, también estaré viajando por el mundo
As you should!! ❤️
❤❤❤
What camera donuou use?
Sony FX3!
Not the camper on its side 😳
Yeah that got a little scary I’m not gunna lie, all was well and most importantly - the food was unscathed 😅
What’s with the pissing shots? We don’t need to share that part of your journey…
If it ‘bothers’ you, then you probably don’t want to follow my journey! Totally normal part of camping as everybody does it. It’s also a big part of what I do in every video so 🤷♂️ thanks for your concern tho!
Tell us all you haven't been here long, without telling us all that you haven't been here long...
The fact that he's going to defend pissing in the videos says he has no regards for women and children who watch this. Some people are just idiots.
