- This short video quickly shows catalogs the damage caused b a failed spark plug. The plug caused substantial damage to the cylinders and pistons and the engine had to be replaced. Also as a bonus, included an update for the SAAB fans so you wouldn't be kept in the dark about the current status of the 900. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL AND STAY SAFE OUT THERE, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Well the Protege is fine. Actually some of the protege videos are about 1 year old so...no problems....The Saab videos are current. I decided to post the protege vids to help others who may have gone though some of the issues i have faced. I still have the car and it drives just fine. The only thing that i have not finished up is the high performance stuff. Most of It will be current.

Thanks I appreciate the feedback. More vids on the way....Jan - Feb had been pretty rough for me but im still editing for the Protege and the SAAB. Nice to see the vids are watched at 3:00 am so I know im not the only one who watches youtube at 3:00 am!!! Sometimes when u cant sleep u gotta UTube a bit !!!!!

Great tear down, very insightful. I might have missed it but what spark plug failed? Brand/ model number
If i remember correctly they were DENSO Iridium plugs with the needle point electrodes. I no longer use these because of that. I now use NGK plugs but only with the standard electrodes.

@@mdev8846 I do believe the original plugs you get from Mazda are made by Denso. But they aren't the iridium needle points. They are standard style plugs. I now use the standard style plugs, except they are NGK brand.
