"Once upon a time" there were also tutus made in a basic color that could be worn with different bodices for concert performances with quick changes. As I understand it, you could do a pas or solo then presto-chango, swap the bodice and scurry onstage for the next selection.
Keep up your strength, ballet is a marathon, and injuries are easier to get and harder to recover from at lower weights. Trust your training, trust your body, you know your capacity better than anyone else.

Because you usually see the completed costume :) the bodice is attached to the tutu to make it one piece

You can practice on old jeans or an old tshirt so you don’t have to buy fabric! It is so fun to hand sew something yourself like fixing a button.

when should ballet shoes be changed?
When they become soft and don't support you anymore, very dead shoes can end up looking like ballet flats and you don't wanna go up on pointe on those

Tutus stretch out. And if it moves up or down on her hips it will hinder her partners hand grip, limit her movement, and be overall very distracting.
