I do this at every wedding now! It's so seamless
Vanessa Joy, YOU GOT SOME SERIOUS GAME.
Haha thanks Innes
Amazing! Well done
I just love the sound of your voice!! This was fun! I think I'm going to try!
Aw thanks!
Thankyou thats a real help. You're an excellent photographer.
Great as usual, thanks @vanessajoy!
Thanks for watching ☺️
that was an impressive speed round of posing. Nice work!
Thanks so much!
Great tips to keep the person moving so they look natural and at ease. I’m a beginner at posing people and my shoots (usually of captive friends and family!) almost always feel a little awkward. Thanks for demo-ing by example, showing by doing is super helpful.
So happy it helps!
Nice work, glad to see an average looking bride that photographers would actually be working with rather than a super model dressed up in a wedding dress.
All brides are supermodels 😉
Amazing stuff thank you for the informative content
My pleasure thanks for watching
Great work!!
Thanks 😊
Love your methodology, makes sense indeed.
Thank you!
You gave me some great ideas with this video, thanks a lot!

This was BRILLIANT. i always struggle with forgetting to make changes beteeen shots and end up with a lot of basically the same poses. This will be an incredible help

Thank you!
Anytime ☺️
Very nice photoshoot
Thanks 😊
Impressive!
Thanks 😊
As always- very educational with a smattering of good humor to keep us all engaged. Good luck in Texas! Your OCF book is very helpful and highly recommended. Any thought given to creating index cards of all the scenarios so that one can easily take to an assignment the menus one needs?
Ooooo good idea!!
Wow...❤
Glad you like 👍
Great style. I have the same pants but in a faux leather look
Niiiice
Impressive
Thanks 😊
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

As soon as you mentioned speed posing, It took me back to this. Take a look at "Speed posing" in China. Emergining fashion trend for models over there. 30 poses in 15 second. 485 outfits per pay. Surreal to watch. Even their pro flashes can't keep up. I know we're never get a wedding couple to do this, but still very interesting.
That is crazy pants
its amazing how easy photography has become. The expectations of bride and grooms has changed sooo much that photographers can have a bit of knowledge with shallow DOF and satisfy the needs of the day. Its more now about marketing yourself and your social media content to make you the one to choose. Times have changed!
I’d venture to say that marketing and client experience has always been the key factor to successful photographers and businesses all around.
I totally agree with you @Vanessa Joy . I have a few friends who are veteran wedding photographers and yes, they absolutely had to know their technical craft, but now we also need to manage the clients' mood and experience in a way many of them never had to. I'm shooting a wedding this weekend and it so happens that an old mentor of mine has chosen to assist me! Once upon a time he could go out with a roll of 36 and come back with an album, now the wedding experience is very different. But he enjoys it now too!
Wait, no twirling of the camera like Doc Holiday from Tombstone?? Awesome video!
Haha that’s next
Vanessa, I would REALLY love to know where did you find your camera strap???? Please continue to make these great videos
Kawaprogear, but they went out of business 😞
@@VanessaJoy 😫 any recommendations that is close to yours? I'm not looking for a double one. Just a nice single one for now. Thanks
Hi Vanessa, what is the link for the software you were using for creating the book?
Fundy :)
You mentioned Fundy. Is that just a layout tool for albums or do they also do the printing?
It’s a layout tool :)
Add 1.4 are you using single point focus??? Or is the camera Using face detection??
eye detection ☺️ best thing ever
Tell me what program did you use to design the album?
Plz 🙏🙏
Fundy
Is your ISO Auto? Thank you miss!
Nope I set it manually ☺️
How do you share the clients photos after a session with them?
I use n-vu.com
Hi Vanessa yesterday I saw your video in adorama about how to shoot real emotions of bride & groom? There you told that we can download the link of questions from the description box but didn't find a single link of it...please tell me how can I find that? @Vanessa Joy
bit.ly/joyfulquestions
Thank you Vanessa thanks a ton so quick, kind & humble you are @@VanessaJoy
Did you shoot in aperture priority? Only your shutter speed changed.
No I was in manual... light wasn’t changing much
what software are you using for a album?
Fundy
@@VanessaJoy its is free to use?
@@VanessaJoy btw i love your shots and posing idea.. am a newbie in photography thank you so much for sharing new ideas 😊😊
My greatest tutorial was watching how the White Press was given 2 1/2 minutes to shoot the formals for the Wedding of Susan Nixon. The entire Bridal Party was assembled, then the attendants were excused, followed by the grandparents, followed by the groom and his parents. She was now alone with the President and Mrs Nixon. They left and she went thru quick poses and DONE. It didn't hurt to have her choice from probably 100 shooters, keeping in mind they were using 36 exposure rolls of film. I learned how quickly that session can be photographed when everyone is organized. It also quickly allows the parents to quickly get to the reception, leaving more time for the couple to unwind a bit, along with the attendants.
I would pay to watch that
Hell no, it would take me that long to decide one shot!
No amount of posing guides or coaching will speed me up, I'm just too awkward! :D
I leave the record-breaking to the pros! ;)
Lol
نوع الكاميرا من فضلك
It’s in the description
Why such high shutter speeds?
Because both myself and the subject are moving fast so it makes sure that doesn’t cause blurry photos ☺️
have thought about placing the barrel of the lens close to your lips and blowing into it when done i seen that in those old westerns, lol one more thing speed shot the groom maybe your husband that way he cannot photo boom your video all the best till next time good video
Haha I’m going to next time lol
@@VanessaJoy we will be watching especially for the smoke coming from that barrel lol
HA! That would take me 2:00 ..... hours...... 😞😂
Lol 😂
Great ideas, but kinda felt it was flat, almost No life in the images.
Good thing I wasn’t teaching how to bring life into your images 😉
@@VanessaJoy Reminded me an old joke about a hippy who, with machete in his hand, is chasing after beatnik, shouting: "I will teach you how to love music of Beatles"

yeah but its pointless. the bride doesn't need 50 different photos of herself. You need like 3 max and that's it. By setting the expectation that you need to deliver more than 1-3 photos of bride portraits you're just creating more unnecessary work for everyone in the industry by setting an unnecessary standard. A full length front on, full length back of the dress is enough. Why does anyone need anything more than that? The photos over her shoulder were unflattering anyway and the photos with the veil taking up half of the frame are completely pointless.
Haha maybe for you, but my clients typically put 10-20 solo shots of the bride in her album, and more on Instagram. 1-3 photos of the bride absolutely does not cut it for today’s bride. But you’d know that if you were a wedding photographer and had any relevant information about wedding photography at all.
