As a professional wedding photographer for two decades, I've photographed thousands and thousands of weddings. Now, wedding photography is a great educator because you have to work and think quickly and produce the demanded results every time.
Posing is something that can not only make a couple look amazing, help you tell a better story with your camera, but it also saves time.
Being able to look at a couple, know how to pose them, get them in position in seconds, and then show them a shot is certainly satisfying, plus, it brings instant trust between you and your subjects.
I hope this video gives you some of the tools you need to do just that! Enjoy!
come for the title, stayed for the humor, learned from the content. bravo.

I loved watching those two model together! Jacob kept smiling and laughing, and she just looked stunning no matter how he had her pose
It was cool to really get a sense of how much _work_ modeling is, these two were both so on top of their game. They interpreted and followed every direction, they could snap right back into poses immediately after a break, and they were the perfect mix of fun and professional. I was really impressed with everyone, esp once you find out they are in 100° weather!
Listening to an enthusiastic nerd is always a fascinating thing to do. Even if I'm okay with my smartphone shots.
Agreed, listening to anyone who is passionate about anything is great!

damn those models are pros bro they did all his instructions like on the first try
probably they are professional indeed and so they know all the poses.
I know, it's almost as if it's their job or something
Lol you don't say....
yup
Read what you wrote again xD
Absolutely insanely well-done. I've been a full time professional wedding photographer for 11 years now (and I hate to toot my own horn but I'm pretty darned good), but even I learned a lot from this. Much of it I was doing unconsciously but once you are aware of what you are doing and have a full understanding of it, it is a game changer. Jerry, this is top notch stuff my man and you very, very, very much know what you're doing.
WOW. EVEN you learned something? My god that's insane
I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my November wedding a very beautiful day. I watched your videos and then I made my husband watch them. We got hitched in Las Vegas as part of Las Vegas Marries military and I wish you could have been my photographer. Everything you taught me in these videos was priceless because there was no time for the photographer to pose us so these tips were extremely helpful. It helped us get some beautiful candid shots but looking our best. I'm extremely grateful to you and every time I look at my wedding photos I will think of you. Thank you so much for all you do
“This was better than a semester in college”
If u are this good at your job u dont want a steady paycheck, u want it to reflect your efforts for each photoshoot.
Yes right buddy

Good tips but I would like to see how this kind of a perfectionist directing would work with a real couple on a real photoshoot!
Post shoot possible on the day shoot not possible
Depends. Engagement pics- easy because you have more time. Wedding? Very tough because everyone wants a piece of the couple.
He does this with real couples on his website. However, it’s subscriptions based. Works well w real couples.
I think you missed the point. No one gets perfect shots every time, if you got one or two tips out of this it will no do doubt improve your couples game. If you had a follow up video to this on how to shoot real people I would watch it.
been shooting since 2009, one thing I have learned over the years is sometimes letting the bride and groom be natural is more beneficial than trying to make them pose
like models.
They're both so, so, so pretty. Enjoying the chemistry!
This guy was a master at the posing and photos. I never thought so much could go into photos until I saw it all.
YT algorithm got me here I don't even know why. I never even searched anything remotely similar to photography let alone couples. I did enjoy the video though. Learned some good stuff. Now I can bugger some of my friends who are into photography.
Have you watched any ludwig/QtCinderella videos?
@@Qcnordique Who and who? I don't think so.
Same. I can't imagine what the combo of things are that got me here. Documentary/science stuff?
You sir, have this down to an art. That was one of the most worth while youtube videos about photography I have ever seen.
That girl model was BEAUTIFUL....!!!!!!❤
😍😘🥰
I have been a part time photographer for a long time. I have posing books of all kinds. I learned more from this video than all of my books together. Great teacher and photographer!
I love people at the top of their class teaching with passion. Great job.
I love the easy flow of energy you created, and how well the models responded to that. Their lightness and willingness to be a little silly kept the whole shoot organic. Gorgeous.
Fascinating tutorial. Even though I'm not a photographer, I enjoyed watching this, and I learned so much from it. Makes me want to buy a good camera and take up photography as a hobby.
Not a photographer but this was fascinating. Took two years of Art History and it was great learning about the intricacies of different artworks: where your eye is drawn to first and why, how different characters are portrayed to exude certain emotions etc. So fascinating to know it can happen with photography too, almost like an amazing live-action dance between ‘actors’ and canvas. Truly, truly awesome.
Also shocked that this guy has less than 100k subscribers. By the quality of the video alone, I assumed he had at least 1 mil
I don't even do photography of people yet but this was awesome to watch. Watched the posing and lighting videos, your delivery and way you explain is so easy to follow and helpful. Love the posing progression especially, one change at a time, each one makes a difference.
This guy is so much talent. The more i watch the more i learn.
I enjoyed this video, and I’m not even a photographer. Mr. Ghionis sounds like such a photography geek, and it transfers well, making his educational content engaging and understandable. The models seem so professional, too! Love the quips and the laughs he brought out of them as well.
I didn't think I would enjoy this video so much when I clicked it. This is amazing!
"How to Pose a Couple"
-1st step : Being photogenic
...hum Okay, nevermind.
There's always photoshop, dear. :))
he does the same exact thing with not-so-photogenic couples
1st step is find a girl to pose with
Step 1 A SHITLOAD of make-up
First you gotta be a couple
this man is amazingly original and talented. He will make everyone confident and amazing after the shot.
These are super helpful!! I’ve become more of a prompting over posing photographer to make everything more natural for couples, but these are tips I will definitely use! ☺️
Jeez, this guy really knows what's he's talking about and the skill to convey it to other people. A true master of his craft
So simple yet so awesome. I learnt a lot in the first 10 minutes. Adjusting for silhouette and angles are so important. Thanks Jerry.

Very professional models, and what a great display of how a professional photographer looks at things.
insane detail
this is literally a masterclass. thank you for good quality content!
You are so straightforward and giving easy to understand directions. I would love to have photos taken by you. Maybe for once I would look like I am photogenic 😊 I need to learn how to pose.
After watching this, i am almost sure that you invented couple poses. This was so beautiful to watch, so much to learn
I will binge your channel
wow, thanks alot!
i feel like these models (esp Jacob since this is his what, 5th or 6th session with Jerry?) are quietly amazed by Jerry's knowledge and are learning and tryna absorb everything the same time as we are
This is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Jerry.
This is so well explained and easy to understand. 27 minutes doesnt feel long. Instant like and subscribe.
Very good teacher, simple straight to the point and very skilled at giving instructions !!
Professionals DO make all the difference. Right instruction, perfect follow. Great models. On my next photo shoot, he can be my stand in.
Yesterday I spent two hours watching your classes before a shoot and right away I could really tell the difference in my pictures. What you are doing here is just amazing. Keep it up!
"You don't have to be the best, you just have to be better than last week," is the best quote I ever heard!!
I have a photo booth company and these instructions will be very helpful. Most of the time we take fun spontaneous photos against a silly or creative green screen background. But occasionally someone asks for a serious shot. So we bring out the sunset background and pose them. Having learned theses poses our clients will be very happy.
Jerry is a master at his craft and he’s giving so much info in this simple clip. 🙌🏼
Amazing lesson, appreciate sharing this. Hoping for more lessons. Really love the your personal poses.
Another excellent tutorial video Jerry! It’s great to watch the subjects move around in the camera live view as they position themselves according to your posing directions. Really enjoying getting a glimpse of your workflow to the final image in this series of videos👌 Greetings & thanks from Melbourne 👋
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you so much for posting this. I hate having my picture taken, but I think this will help me to feel more comfortable during future photographs.
I am very impressed with the models - they did a great job. Such professionals!

Amazing content and poses, totally like artistic figure and meaningful gesture on each pose. Furthermore the direction is on point in which pose supposedly better than the other and mistake that you should avoid. The direction is clear enough that the models know that the photographer directing to their best intention for better shot.
I love the technicalities of this just what I wanted thank you !!

imaging caring enough of what people think to need to watch a video on how to pose for photos, this work needs new hope
This was super interesting to watch! Lots of great tips even for me to keep in mind when I'm being photographed. Thanks!
Exactly what I’ve been looking for in a tutorial. Amazing job ! Thank you
Great to hear!!

VERY education! Thank you for explaining so well.
The way how you explain everything is amazing. Great jobb !:) This is very helpful
Damn I accidentally tapped on this video. I found it funny at first but, dude knows so much real and practical stuff for photography. Subscribed.
🙂 Funnily enough I’ve said to my Husband we really need to take some more photographs together. We mainly take selfie’s or indoor pics so boring my Husband told me give this a try. I’ve already learnt from so many of my mistakes from the first five minutes of watching this video. Thank you am gonna save this on my list we must give it a try 🥰🙂
Love the personality and competence you exude. Great video!
Just about the best, concise posing video from a photographer I've seen in ages.
What a great teacher. I dont' give a damn about photography but I'll be coming back here for teaching craft. Photography's great too though!
It's funny you say that about his hand around her waist, the other side benefit is if they break up, it makes it easier for her to crop him out without a floating hand remaining on her waist 😂
LOL pro tip right here!
Your "how to pose a couple" video was great because we were able to follow along to your instruction and the models. Really helpful to see the couple on the other 1/2 of the screen.
Watching this as an artist for posing my characters in illustrations! Very helpful thanks.

Very educational. I really hope photographers out there take this course. I'm so sick of going to studios, getting our pics taken, and going home with shitty pictures. Sometimes, the pictures are so bad I want to cry.
The guy must have fell in love with this dream girl after the session!
When a girl is this hot any pose looks great.
