I always watch your beautiful videos Bridget, you remind me of my very simple Mum,who used to have your Anglo indian Accent,😊❤.thank you so much, love all your recipes.
My late maternal grandmother being anglo her self we always talked about all of these but it was never really passed down well to the present generation, but seeing you do this I feel confident that I can try my hand on it. And will love to read your book on Anglo-Indian Cuisines too.
I'm unlucky I just watched your video today only. my father was brought up by an Anglo-Indian family,so when ever I visited their house along with the other delicious they had prepared this pepper water which I liked it the most.I missed this recipe for long years. I used to tell my people that I Miss this recipe now through you I got it wow I'm going to prepare it today. Thanks a lot.,😊Mrs Daniel.
Thank you Mrs Daniel for getting in touch. So nice to know that your father was brought upon an Anglo-Indian home and you love our food especially our Pepperwater. Please do prepare it now that you have my recipe. I’m sure it will bring back many loving memories. Take care. God bless
Same! Bridget make sure you keep the videos coming. Would love to see your UA-cam channel take off in popularity and see you cooking the lovely dishes in your book! Much love Marcus x
Wow Ms. Bridget.!! Yumm...my Mum used to make pepper water exactly like this n make a pepper chicken or dry meat as a side dish. Ditto my dearest friend's Mom too. I closed my eyes n could literally smell the aroma!! Gonna make it tomorrow itself🙂
Thank you so much. Do try out my other recipes as well. I think there are quite a few Anglos in the USA. Probably an Anglo group on Face Book would help. God bless
The curry leaves could have been cut into small pieces and the red chillies too. Pepper water is a good digestive and works well to keep the liver and stomach in order especially during hot summer days.
Hi Sandra. Thank you for your comment. Yes Anglo-Indian Pepperwater is another form of the Tamil Rasam. We make it this way in Kolar Gold Fields. God bless
Pepper water with rice, wow, it can be done. I will try it too yum yum.

You could make it into a Dal Pepperwater if you add Dal. This is just the plain Pepperwater

It is to to eaten with rice and a side dish

Hi Luciana. Thanks for the suggestion. God bless
Rasam without asafeotida
We don't use asafoetida in our cooking
We do not put Dhania pow or tomatoes
Thank you Sandra. Each family has their own recipe. I guess your family had a different recipe to mine.
No sound
The sound is there. Do adjust the volume on your devise
So sad can't see the pan.
I've posted this video again. Do check it out
