I love how tool's members roles are all so restrained and disciplined. Each a "tool" - all 4 combining in synergy. No huge guitar solos. All finding their space. Symphonic
This guy is amazing. He is literally the only one I have found anywhere that plays these songs exactly as they are played. Sound, everything. So awesome

Hey man i have been watching your channel for a while and I just want to say that I would ABSOLUTELY love you if you would post more about my fav band, Tool. Keep up the good work
:))) im just kidding @alex-RaCoon12 you gotta practice the intro more with the song and just get the feel of it as it is quite constant and repetittive. All and all just listen to the song to get the swing right.
Tbh, this is a really good song to learn when it comes to “progressive “ types of music, I also had trouble in the intro but practice makes perfect, right?
Comical Flea8195 Learning it at the moment, and the progressive chabges in the intro riff is definitely the hardest for me, i can play the intro really well but the other riffs confuse the hell out of me
It's three variations of a lick where only the last two notes change between the three. Picking hand does not change throughout the whole thing, and one of the variations is the same lick back to back: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st - repeat. Play with a metronome and slow it down to get the feel for it
Most people don’t like tool because of Adam. You don’t like them except for Adam, I’m curious why not? The sound? Maybe a Maynard I suppose. But Danny and Justin are godly lol, I wouldn’t understand that view
ProgressiveMetalist Oh don’t get me wrong. My appreciation for Jones doesn’t mean I don’t like Danny Carey or Justin Chancellor. Maynard, on the other hand, is a complete douche bag.
What he means is he's showing you how Jones plays it close up and with tabs. Will you be able to find a video of Jones teaching you? I don't think so. So stop being sarcastic and say thank you "sir"
@@jamesschmidt3437 you’re not wrong. That’s just way beyond my technical skill level. I hear it and think “I can play that”. But then I see it and realize I’m nowhere near that level.
@@kjohansen4088 Maybe the intro riff is somewhat difficult because of the odd time signature, but I mean, the rest of the song is not "technically" very hard or advanced. A lot of basic, straightforward riffing in this song. Start believing in yourself and your playing more, or stop playing all together. It is completely pointless and a waste of time to play if you dont even believe in yourself or your own ability to learn a song. And not saying this to be mean or sarcastic or anything like that, just being serious with you. You say it is too technical and beyond your skill level, but that was the whole point of my original comment, that if you spent the last 8 months learning this song then you WOULD have unavoidably improved your technical ability, because you would have been practicing it the whole time. You also probably would have surprised yourself with the fact that you probably would have learned it even quicker than 8 full months. Just think of it like this, any great song or any great guitar part etc. was once outside of the technical ability of the person that WROTE it... It was just that they kept practicing over and over until they were finally able to do it. It isnt like Eddie Van Halen just woke up one day and was able to play eruption. There was a time when even his own greatest masterpiece, was unplayable by even himself. And that is the difference and what separates an average player from one that makes it. Stop selling yourself short, man. Practice everyday, start believing in yourself, and get better. Trust me man.

Too much movement from the get god, the only part of Adam that moves when he plays ti live is his hands and arms, the occasional re adjusting his stance, head is a firm looking down or left and right to see where his hands/fingers/strings are but other than that (of course im pullin the piss) bloody great job!

The only successful cover of the intro I've seen to date. Great video! 🤘
honestly i was confused at first but for me the intro is the easiest part to to play lol
but after seeing another cover of vicarious i can see what people are talking about :D
still not accurate

:D
The damn structure of this song is amazing. The timing is so unusual. Thank you very nice
Thats the Beauty of Tool. Their flavor of prog rock is very distinct.
In Schism alone there's 47 separate time signature changes.
the intro took me like 3 weeks to learn, the rest is kinda easy other than the memorization.
i learnt the drumming in 2 weeks and another song that is easy to play on drums is prison sex by tool
You don’t get enough views man. Very well done, you should be proud!

@Kendall Greer lol i got easy in like 3 days

Great job man! And a sweet LTD/ESP guitar.
Stupendous I'm fucking blown away
Fantastic cover brother!!
Can you please give your rig rundown, I really love the sound and I've been dying to achieve this tone for the longest time!
Save for the diezel vh4
the sound is sick
HE LIVES :D!!! Good to see you back buddy 😄
I wanna start a tool cover band so bad but finding a drummer for a normal band is hard enough.
🤣 need to clone Danny Carey
TOOL is 🐐
Keep it up! U rock!
Who the fuck put the thumbs down to this... awesome cover pal 🤟🤟🤟
That was awesome
Rock on brotha!
Not a Tool fan in the slightest, but god damn, I love Adam Jones.
07foxmulder he’s a very creative guitarist with some unconventional ideas

8/10 well done
Awesome what model is that LTD? Its sick man
Active pickups 😭
they sound pretty good actually
Awesome cover bro, the only thing is C,mon man, where’s the Les Paul???
He obviously pays attention to the way Adam plays it
Great job.
Why you wrote how Adam Jones plays it?
Tool don't have a second guitarist only Adam plays the guitar parts anyway.
Cause others fail to play like him, many youtubers skip a few things just to make it easier to play, he played exactly how Adam plays it
Can you please share the link of backing track?
its the song dude
If I wanna watch the way Adam Jones plays it I’ll watch him. I wanna watch how you play it

I'm a beginner, and I've learned the intro in less than two days, except I cant slap on and off palm mute like this. It's torture
I was gonna try to learn this song while quarantined. Hahaha! Not happening
Why not??? You coule have had it down by now :/

very precise reproduction, although a guitar is a bit different :o)
Very good cover but there are small mistakes. I can explain?
Do it
He’s playing the chorus the difficult way possible. Easier to do 302,303,57,1010
Adam Jones plays it that way. It sounds more correct too.
