The Latin Mass is s the true mass of the Catholic church. Not the Novos Ordo. I remember growing up with the Latin Mass. It was full of love for Christ. The new mass is so boring..When Christ comes again he will not acknowledge this church since it fell of of His tree. It's gone back to paganism

I am a convert to Catholicism from a Protestant faith. I am still absorbing the "Magisterium" aspect of the Church, its traditions, and the deep doctrines, previous councils, and Vatican I and II and what they represent today. My takeaway from Vigano and others opposed to what the Pope is creating for the future, is that Francis has organized what Vigano calls a "Hostile Takeover" of the Church's basic mission and teachings in order to create a future "concilliary church" (a church which can reconcile with secular society norms, "abortion, immorarity, etc") and at the same time change the liturgy and form of worship to make reconciliation and unity with other Christ based religious groups (Protestant mainly). Please tell me if I am getting this right or wrong.

It will inflame only those modernists who recognize the truth in Abp. Vigano's statements and conclusions and are angered to see their plans and intents so clearly revealed. We, in contrast, are greatly comforted by his letter in that it makes clear the dangers to the Church in a very direct and unmistakable manner. We don't have to read-between-the-lines, and we don't have to agonize over what we believe we see but are afraid, out of love for the Church, to conclude. Yes, am newly back to church after decades in occult mixed with praying to God (of my own understanding from 12 step groups). The new Mass asks us "What is the _least_ we can do?" as it strives to avoid even the slightest inconvenience. This is especially obvious in the Mass as it is commonly experienced. The old Mass asks us "What is the _best_ that we can do?" as it both challenges and comforts us as only God can do. Which attitude towards faith is best? Which one leads people closer to God, and which leads them further away? It's pretty clear after 60 years of "still need(ing) to implement the Council" there is something fundamentally missing from the typical V2 parish. And please can we retire the tired old lie? Not only has the Council fully and thoroughly been implemented, it has it's fingerprints on everything everywhere. There is not a single diocese in the world that has rejected the Council.
Can you break this down for us please? Going to be honest. I respect Vigano. He is direct and brave. But this letter seems aimed at scholarly level. And difficult for some of us Laity to understand. Jesus spoke with clarity. And some of us need it.

What further proof do we need that we are already deep into Apocalyptic times? I don't have the ability to get to the Traditional Latin Mass so I go to the Novus Ordo Mass. I go because I need to receive Communion regularly. I don't think like a Novus Ordo parishioner though for the most part. No Communion in the hand, altar girls I distain. Most of the music is mediocre, I basically think like a traditionalist, but you go to the Mass that is available. I agree 100% with Archbishop Vigano even with his criticism of the NO Mass.

Vigano recognizes that Benedict was part of the revolutionary group at Vatican 2, and himself said things that contradict the concept of continuity. You would want a hermeneutic of continuity but you cannot have continuity with contradictory values and statements, like the Church's stances on religious liberty before the Council vs After the council, or on non-Catholic religions in general, or a number of other topics.
He says the hermeneutic of continuity is nonsense due to conflicting/opposite positions of the Church on several key issues before and after the council

Anthony, as you read Archbishop Vigano's essay, tears of joy, of sorrow and tears of Thanksgiving to our God, for this true son of His, this true brother in Christ, could not be stemmed. For years now, he has been like a voice in the wilderness, with the world being led to believe that his speaking out was just 'sour grapes'. But this essay cannot be denied, for it is truthful.
For me, it was Christ himself speaking through Archbishop Vigano, for he has been delivered into isolation by the "governors and kings" as his prison:

"But when they shall deliver you up, take no thought how or what to speak: for it shall be given you in that hour what to speak. [20] For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you."

The Latin Mass is s the true mass of the Catholic church. Not the Novos Ordo. I remember growing up with the Latin Mass. It was full of love for Christ. The new mass is so boring..When Christ comes again he will not acknowledge this church since it fell of of His tree. It's gone back to paganism

My takeaway from Vigano and others opposed to what the Pope is creating for the future, is that Francis has organized what Vigano calls a "Hostile
Takeover" of the Church's basic mission and teachings in order to create a future "concilliary church" (a church which can reconcile with secular society norms, "abortion, immorarity, etc") and at the same time change the liturgy and form of worship to make reconciliation and unity with other Christ based religious groups (Protestant mainly). It will inflame only those modernists who recognize the truth in Abp. Vigano's statements and conclusions and are angered to see their plans and intents so clearly revealed. We, in contrast, are greatly comforted by his letter in that it makes clear the dangers to the Church in a very direct and unmistakable manner. We don't have to read-between-the-lines, and we don't have to agonize over what we believe we see but are afraid, out of love for the Church, to conclude. We are hindered by the indecision that prevents us from acting. Abp. Vigano is that invaluable, faithful watchman on the tower who warns of the enemy approaching. Would love to see some dumbed down arguments as to why Vatican II was so terrible for the church. We must never forget that Francis is our Pope. That is why we are in such great trouble. We have to resist him where he is wrong but we must also pray for him and treat him with as much respect as we can muster. This is not only for Francis's sake but for our own sake and the sake of the Church. What troubles me most about the post conciliar world is the idea of severing our ties with the past. The hermeneutic of rupture to me wreaks of hyper modernism and can only lead to us floundering around in the dark without a firm foundation to add on to and to guide us. Whatever liturgy you attend is fine with me provided that you realize the timeless and eternal nature of the Church which is relevant in every age because it is in the world but not of it.

The new Mass asks us "What is the _least_ we can do?" as it strives to avoid even the slightest inconvenience. This is especially obvious in the Mass as it is commonly experienced. The old Mass asks us "What is the _best_ that we can do?" as it both challenges and comforts us as only God can do. Which attitude towards faith is best? Which one leads people closer to God, and which leads them further away? It's pretty clear after 60 years of "still need(ing) to implement the Council" there is something fundamentally missing from the typical V2 parish. And please can we retire the tired old lie? Not only has the Council fully and thoroughly been implemented, it has it's fingerprints on everything everywhere. There is not a single diocese in the world that has rejected the Council.

Can you break this down for us please? Going to be honest. I respect Vigano. He is direct and brave. But this letter seems aimed at scholarly level. And difficult for some of us Laity to understand. Jesus spoke with clarity. And some of us need it.
We should be grateful that Heaven has afforded us at least one solid voice in the Church's hierarchy in the person of Archbishop Vigano to challenge heresy, apostasy and perversion at the highest level. What further proof do we need that we are already deep into Apocalyptic times?

I'm Protestant, but I have the greatest respect for Monsignore Vigano. He speaks truth. Conservative Catholics and conservative Evangelicals has common enemies; heretics, social justice warriors and traitors of the Christian faith. We must stand together or fall together. I don't have the ability to get to the Traditional Latin Mass so I go to the Novus Ordo Mass. I go because I need to receive Communion regularly. I don't think like a Novus Ordo parishioner though for the most part. No Communion in the hand, altar girls I distain. Most of the music is mediocre, I basically think like a traditionalist, but you go to the Mass that is available. I agree 100% with Archbishop Vigano even with his criticism of the NO Mass.
I am in the same boat. 2.5 hours to the nearest TLM. I have been "offering it up," as best I can.

Without getting into the weeds, what is wrong with the Spirit of VatII, based on your general description of “the Benedict position”? Does Vigano really oppose Benedict?
Vigano recognizes that Benedict was part of the revolutionary group at Vatican 2, and himself said things that contradict the concept of continuity. You would want a hermeneutic of continuity but you cannot have continuity with contradictory values and statements, like the Church's stances on religious liberty before the Council vs After the council, or on non-Catholic religions in general, or a number of other topics.
