I was 48kg and people were taking advantage of my size, my aunt would tell me the enter inside the septic tank to clean because I was small. I couldn't be a boyfriend and if I did they always say nakaa moto. I concluded to add so few pounds, I started doing weight gain work out right now am at 67 and a man told you to need to stop eating some foods like sugar I knew right away the massage...I gave him a piece of me, I tell you I love myself so much even when I walk into a room full of people the all notice

I'm learning that to successfully loose weight, it has to start with the right mindset and a lot of times, that means resetting the mindset. I've struggled loosing my pregnancy weight for almost 3 years now. I've had gym memberships, personal trainers, bought gym equipment and done every diet imaginable. I'd suggest taking the focus away from the weight and focus on mental health, the weight will go as you get more confident

The Evolving Mum true it all starts in the mind...actually don’t weigh yourself for a while like a month, eat smaller potions but don’t starve your body, eat clean food, make it a lifestyle.. Food is medicine and don’t be too hard on yourself. Go mama you can do this.

People need to stop judging and call people fat, it's a painful word that stays in a person for a long time. Until you walk in someone's shoes then be judgemental. Somebody that I went to school with 20 some years ago, saw me on FB. Her comment was, please eat less. All I said to her was what makes you think that it's food? We never spoke again. People don't weigh their words they just vomit without realizing they are hurting someone.

I personally think the women on the show look good and they are nothing compared to the ones here in the US..people wonna talk about fat shaming and obesity, they need to come here in the US and see how seriously big people are in general not just the women even the men..atleast in Kenya, the food is organic and is of better quality so most people are not big or seriously overweight unless they really eat junk food..unlike American foods which have a lot of preservatives and steroids so Kenyans need to stop with that nonsense of body shaming women and even men as I saw one male Kenyan celeb musician who was bodyshamed for being overweight on the show...to those ladies keep your heads up and kudos to the host for handling the issue with maturity and compassion.

@@puritykathure9582 you're welcome. I'm skinny too...since I was a child. Even my own mum took me to the doctor to get checked and to her shock the doc said I'm very healthy. So she should stop fussing over it and let me have a peace of mind. Furthermore, every Sunday Morning there was an Usher by the entrance who always asked me if I was very ill because according to him, I kept getting smaller. That ofcourse is false because I've been the same size. Maybe my outfits gave different angles of my body but either way what he was doing was body shaming. In highschool, some boys said "oh why is this chic wearing tight clothes when she is basically a toothpick."You see? Humans. I'm also very athletic, Ive played football for 11 years competitively, netball for 3 years competitively, swimming for 8 years competitively, and track for 12 years competitively from primary school all the way to my profession. Now as an overgrown human being I've gotten a bit lazy but I like to run for cardiovascular reasons. Neither of those times was I active to lose any weight. I enjoy sports. Even at work I'll be the only girl who will try and get some running or swimming in after work. At least 4 days a week. When I do that people will make mean comments. Oh why are you running and you're already thin. Chunga utamaliza mwili. It is either I ignore or agonisingly bother to explain that my priority is my health. I exercise for endurance, for fitness. I walk/run/swim etc to exercise my heart apart from all my muscles. If I don't, I get sluggish, out of energy, get back pain and zombie like. I can attest that exercise has done wonders for my back. Girl my back has been a nuisance due to bad posture. Most importantly, I enjoy what I do. So I tell them to kindly stop body shaming me. They wouldn't like it if I made a nasty comment about their body. It goes both ways they forget. On the flip side, I occasionally get the usual comments. "How do you manage to stay so small? ", "what is your secret?", "Girl you're so tiny, you should be a model". I'm 5ft9. "You're so lucky you eat so much and don't get fat". "Those clothes look nice on you". "Are you 18?" when I'm literally 29. At work clients freak out when they realise I'm the one they've been speaking to over the phone the whole time. They say I look like I just finished highschool. Plus I'm always asked for my ID by bouncers whenever I go out with friends. They still don't believe my ID is real. Anyway, there are many experiences I could give and I'm sure you've gone through the same. Overall, I'm grateful for who I am and I've accepted my reality as long as I make sure I'm healthy, body and mind. Keep a positive mind love because humans will always be humans at the end of the day. Be blessed.

I wanted to gain weight but i've changed my mind, not because these ladies don't look good but because they dont feel good about it and the inner confidence is what goes a long way. I am 25 years old and 49kg :-)

I used to think that I was too skinny for my height(I'm really tall). So I started lifting weights and eating well. I moved from 45 to 56kgs.

It is not acceptable for men to be heavy. Unless he is a body builder. Being fat is always a health issue across board. Secondly, having responsibilities is not an excuse to working out. That is just an excuse. You need to workout, then make time. Unless you have a critical health issue, do your best to maintain healthy weight.
